Not sure why you're getting negged, but i wasnt aware that the roast was gonna be live. That's pretty cool. For all the politics i dont share with the Goat, he's a great rep for Michigan & I've always been a fan. Those last few years facing off against Mahomes were awesome, I feel like Tom passed the torch on chasing greatness.
If we continue to produce great OL, i would hope we could eventually recruit some WR talent for the passing game. The frontline beef is gonna give your QB time to throw, we just need the talent at wideout to force the playcalls to open up.
Would love to see Hyman traded to Detroit, but he's always played off the best scorers in the league (Austin Mathews & Connor McDavid) so not sure if he brings that scoring when having to be featured. He's in the best place possible, unfortunately for us Wings fans.
My assertion is that dirty money is pouring into NIL at these mega-donor programs as well. It's the wild wild west until the players get a cut of the TV revenue & then we still won't be able to regulate out the side hustles.
No one posted after the Wings final game this year, but that one timer from the point by Perron with 5 seconds left to send into OT was unreal. Surely must have blown thousands in bets, what an amazing shot! And then the heartbreaker seeing the Flyers basically give the game to the Caps.
I counter Brian's take in that we need at least 1 talented Sparty defensive transfer each season on the roster so we can DL the dirty shit that's being plotted behind closed doors. And to stand over them talking smack after a huge hit on national TV.
I watched some of UNM games near the end of the season, and Toppin seemed like he was in the doghouse or something. Like it wasn't an injury, but emotional maturity issues. I'm sure Coach May will make a good assessment, but when he was on the court playing you could see the skill & athleticism.
Most of our recruits in the last cycle were 3 or low 4-stars needing some development. And now you've got a completely new staff & position coach, who happens to be an excellent recruiter. The LB's in this class are looking at high 4 & 5 star recruits coming in next season, with potential for another talented transfer portal guy. Natural selection happening in front of our own eyes...
Echoing same from other posters, Nimari is a good player who was stuck on a bad team playing outside of his role. Looking forward to seeing him contribute to a winning team this coming season. Go Blue
I was at the Dbacks season opener back in 2017 against the Giants when Bumgartner hit 2 home runs while pitching...and the Dbacks won in the bottom of the 9th. I thought it was a decent park, not sure why it gets such a bad rating. But that was probably the only day of the year when it was sold out, so the fan experience was pretty good. I just remember seeing the split the pot end up at $250k...always buy a 50-50 ticket at a sold out game.
One of my favorite one-hit wonders was the theme song. "Don't you forget about me" with the fist pump at the end. I was probably right around 10 when that came out, really helped me understand the term "cool" on a deeper level.
My buddies in college were on the rugby team, and they had the best parties with all the visiting teams players. Never 1 fight or anything other than a frosty mug shared dancing to a Rolling Stones cover band.
In Veach we Chiefs fans trust. Looking forward to finally getting a chance to root for Worthy. He's at another level as a skilled receiver, route runner than John Ross.
Thanks for the breakdown of Roddy, MattD. I love that he's a proven commodity in the B1G, capable of getting his own shot & playing solid defense with good size at the 2. Perfectly fits the starting off guard, will be hungry to prove himself on the new team - especially when we play OSU.
Waller leaving makes sense for him, he's probably making more money at Kentucky thru NIL. And he's going to get a little more playing time & probably play for a coach who he liked 2nd most to Clink. Am I sad to see him go - because he was going to absolutely be a piece for the Nation's top 5 or 10 defense - absolutely.

That Nebraska game last week was must see TV. Costales with the walk off homer was sweet after we'd had bases loaded twice that the Cornhuskers got out of.
McBurrows played well in the Spring game I thought. Not sure if he's playing CB, thought it was Nickel. But I can see how impressive last season was keeping all the 1st & 2nd team guys on the team with NIL floating around. Best of luck to DJ wherever he lands in Kentucky.
Tre is IMO the most important addition to this team. A legit PG who can shoot/pass/defend at a potentially elite level (based on projections), already had his tuneup in a major conference, ready to breakout.
