SEC has been recruiting really well the last 3-4 years. It’s not UK and everyone else anymore. That conference, aside from Vandy, only cares about winning in sports. The SEC and Bigten are only like-minded about one thing and that is power. They both crave power and control. How to achieve it, they are miles apart.

This is the only team I’ve seen that at least in the first half consistently outshoots the other team but gives up 10 more shots due to to’s and getting outrebounded to be down.

it's telling that i don't even have to advance to the second page of comments after the first half.
early good lead, 16-8, squandered by halftime. now michigan pulls out their ipads and watches disney+ for the second half and we lose. excellent

Made everything under the sun. Still ended the half with a bunch of turnovers and giving up wide open 3s all over.
Not sure what anyone can expect from the kids at this point. A bunch of weird guys randomly all over the floor. They're playing admirably against a very good northwestern team, but our players aren't good enough and they certainly aren't a cohesive unit at this point

Also, does Reed ever rise up and finish? The dude is huge any plays so weirdly small with the ball. Falls down, gets blocked, shoots awkward shots

I would love for these kids to compete and play back and forth with NW. Would love for them to be up for the moment and not melt down. My sense however is that a second half disaster is pending

Llewellen is playing poorly. Put in GW and Yoyo. We went up when they were in. Burnett is on fire and is keeping us in it. I don't understand Juwans substitutions
.EDIT. Yoyo is in. Watch how hard he plays and how it affects the others. Reed is so inefficient in his play. So much for Juwan coaching up big men

I do....Dug and Tarris are most likely gone via portal because they want to play for a competitive team like Hunter did. Howard has a tendency to hate playing freshman that aren't his sons (Kobe B, Frankie Collins) but he'll have to because the rest of roster will have no talent.

This is brutal to watch. At least the 14-15 team had a lot of cool “almost” dunks from Aubrey Dawkins and a lot of young guys got to play. This year I get to watch Twill turn into a third grader who stares at the ball while dribbling for the 1,000th time.

That 2014-15 team showed some life late in the season. I have this random memory of MAAR going off against Rutgers to close the home schedule and thinking that John Beilein was an excellent coach for unearthing that guy. The season had been rough because of injuries and roster turnover, but that the next year seemed likely to be better, as the young guys on the team had taken some lumps and shown some fight. There were some silver linings to that experience. Steps forward seemed possible. Hard to see any positives with this current team, unfortunately...

Howard doesn’t have any understanding of how to manage a basketball game. His rotations and use of timeouts are consistently terrible.
