It’s really hard to comprehend that Izzo has been to the NCAA tournament 26 years in a row. He’s never had a season as bad as either of Howard’s last 2 years. How is that even possible?

Howard’s team is completely lost and non competitive. This isn’t about trying to topple the top team, it’s about cratering a program to the extent that they are unable to compete with other teams in the big ten.
Our only hope is that Santa is watching this team and can see that we obviously need to clean house and replace this entire coaching staff. There is no part of the coaching of this team that is even close to basic competency.

You have to give OSU credit that at least they acknowledged reality and fired their coach. We have at least another year of Howard destroying our basketball program.
My son’s middle team coach would never have a team play defense as bad as Michigan. Don’t stop the ball, you’re on the bench. Can’t box out, you’re on the bench. The lack of any defensive fundamentals or effort on this Michigan team is something that wouldn’t be tolerated by any decent middle school club team.
Can the Howard apologizers please take a look at how Northwestern’s well coached basketball team is able to navigate tougher admissions challenges and less NIL than Michigan? Michigan needs to hire a competent coach and staff.

Howard’s situation has nothing in common with Harbaugh. The basketball program has been on a downward trajectory for Howard’s entire tenure.
Other teams also have competent coaching staffs that make coaching adjustments, we don’t have that.

Sanderson tried to hold Jace accountable, obviously Howard doesn’t believe in holding these players accountable for anything.

He’s only on a big ten roster because his Dad is the coach. He is not a big ten level player.
The short term can’t get any worse. We’re literally last in the big ten and not even remotely competitive with most teams in the big ten.
