Gotta love the timeout call with 1:30 left and then set up full court pressure down 20. The sense of urgency passed by a few minutes before

Good gravy

Can the Howard apologizers please take a look at how Northwestern’s well coached basketball team is able to navigate tougher admissions challenges and less NIL than Michigan?  Michigan needs to hire a competent coach and staff.

I may be in the minority, but I would love to see Dug get it together and come back along with Burnett, Williams II (COVID year), Tschetter, Reed, Khayat and GWIII.

Dug/Burnett/TWII/Tschetter/Reed

Would at least be a very experienced team, and with Khayat and GWIII getting minutes the rest of this season maybe they can turn into legit contributors. Anderson, Brooks and Rooths should be good reinforcements as well. Bring in an experienced back up PG, a wing and a backup center and at the very least we wouldn't be this bad.

So, same players and same coaches? With most of those guys already past the part of their career where you see a big jump in production? I just am not sure what you're expecting. If you tell me the goal is make the NIT, okay. That would be possible.

Don't get me wrong, there's no better plan for next year. Frankly, we're probably losing players like Dug and maybe more.

Good god, no.

Reed is still a project.  Very little development and is truly worthless against experienced and skilled bigs.

TWill...handshake.  Thanks for your services.

Tshcetter is a bench player.  Could be a very solid one on the right team.  But limited...especially defensively.

Yes you are in the minority.  This is a complete garbage product. An older garbage product next year.

You think Dug is coming back when he was forced to play school here when he could go to 20 destinations and not give a damn about school? TW3 back for his 19th year?

With the way the team and coaching staff is currently constructed, there is not a conceivable way that roster you listed will be any good at all. Yes, individually they have some okay pieces. This isn't 2008 Beilien first year where it was Manny Harris, Sims, and no one else who was even a scholarship level B1G player. Dug is a good college PG, but he almost certainly goes elsewhere next year where he will be an experienced college PG who no longer has to worry about academics. Burnett is okay; not really a starter on a functional team. Tschetter would be a good 8-10 minute guy who can stretch and provide some offense and you take what you're given with his defensive liabilities. Reed has not developed at all, and I'm starting to think he just is what he is. Someone like Nkamhoua who will not be back next year is a nice player for sure. I would have taken him over Houstan in 21-22 and Jett in 22-23, but he really served no purpose on this disaster of a team.

When the team's whole is less than a sum of its parts, that is the clearest sign of a coaching deficiency, and our current head man in charge has shown zero signs of being able to change that. That has been the case for the past 3 seasons.

Juwan would've been much better off just taking the entire season off to recover from heart surgery, for his stress level and his job.  Doing so likely would've 100% secured his job for another season because Warde would've chalked this shit show up to the head coach not being there as the reason for the epic collapse.

Sad to say I don’t even know the basketball schedule anymore. I would wager there are a number of normally engaged fans that have basically given up. When it gets to that point it is time to make a change.
