Harbaugh needs to be relentless.  Score fast.  Score quick.  Keep on scoring and do not stop till the final whistle. Bury MSU with points till recruits ? from the site of stench from EL.

State sucks, but we cannot assume we get 7 turnovers like Rutgers got.  I expect a comfortable win, but it is too early in the season to be gloating about blowouts before they happen.

For all the references over the last 15 years to them as "little brother" they're certainly not my little brother.

And if they had actually been my little brother, I would have disowned them decades ago.

I am looking at about the last 5 years. People are likely Over-hyped on us, and under-hyped on MSU. There are still a lot of kids on that team that were there for the competitive years.

Don't get me wrong, MSU is bad, and we are at least good. I am just going with the numbers here. Line is already moving down a bit, so we will see. I see us winning by something like 17-21 points.

Nah any remnant of what MSU had is gone, they are at rock bottom. You can get up emotionally all you want but it's not going to make up for that level of suck or disparity in talent. Most of MSU wins in the last 10 years have actually come when they had the better team or the teams were near even at the end of the year.

I want M to win by as many points as it takes for them to stop playing football.  I'm a little extra bitter for how they treated the swimmers (family friend WAS a swimmer there).  It's time for Chicago to request their membership charter be returned.

Halftime score Michigan (35-42) Sparty 7

Michigan then brings Milton in for 1 drive in the 3rd quarter and then hands it off to Cade for the rest of the game. With Sparty having a history of rough dirty play in games they have lost don't want to risk too many starters so you bring in 2nd and 3rd teamers and from there basically play even with them.

52-17 Final.

I want to see this offense explode on sparty, when we have a big lead, I would like Joe to improve on his long ball throws to hit our downfield WR in stride. MSU will complain we ran up the score on them but Joe just needs some more long ball experience. I hope we score 80 on them.

The last time Michigan scored 50 or more points against MSU was the national championship year of 1947, when we pounded them 55-0.

prediction - we’re up 28 midway through the fourth, and they scrabble together a cheap drive for a late field goal to cover.  dignity achieved.

the other alternative - harbaugh keeps his foot on the gas for 60 minutes of unnecessary roughness, spreads the offense around even more than this past week, and we win by fitty.

either way - TAKE THE OVER.

I just hope we don't have any sort of a let down after a great game Saturday.  lil bro will probably play harder this week than any other game this season.

lets win by a couple scores, anything more is icing on the cake

I just checked out THE Ohio State University schedule and after this week's game against PSU, Indiana will be their next toughest game, followed by the dregs of the B1G, leading up to the last week showdown.

That will be one advantage for UM, having faced 3 top 25 teams.

As the saying goes, steel sharpens steel, cupcakes sharpen ________?  Fill in the blank.

Yes, OSU has a very easy schedule.  Penn State and Michigan are the only real opponents.

It will likely end up that they will play only 3 teams that finish above .500--Michigan, Penn State and IU.

All because OSU got two very easy cross conference games, Nebraska and Illinois.

Meanwhile...Michigan got the two best teams in the Big Ten West--Minnesota and Wisconsin.

If Mertz is out Wisconsin will not be near the challenge.

Minnesota’s defense with eight starters to replace was just awful and missing their two OL starters and punter definitely changed the game.  They were lucky to be 11-2 last year.

Maybe the crazy football Gods have decided to give back to Michigan some of what they have taken.

While we looked really good and MSU looked terrible, I'm not getting over confident because anything can happen with a rivalry game. I just have this feeling people are getting over confident and setting ourselves up to be embarrassed

With that being said, I hope we give MSU no mercy, run up the score, and set the tone for the Mel Tucker tenure at MSU. Embarrass them and make Rayshaun Benny and future in-state recruit's decisions easy

It's hard to feel overly confident having seen very little actual football from either team, but if there's one thing Dantonio and his roid ragers were good at, it was ramping up the disrespekt factor that constantly fueled them against us. I don't think Mel is going to be able to churn up that same level of petulance like Mork who absolutely lived the disrespected little brother mentality. I suspect MSU's program will tail off into the pre-Dantonio malaise

Wouldn't surprise me if this one was kinda close early (Lombardi did pass for a ton of yards vs Rutgers) but I suspect we pull away again. 45-17

Does anyone know the percentage of MSU covering on this game?  I gotta think it is, unfortunately, very high.  Could make a living betting them to cover I would suspect.

I like it ..... I just want the players to be hungry and not think this will be a cake walk just because Rutgers beat them.  Full throttle please and don't let up!

I do not expect M to cover for two reasons...

1.  MSU won't commit 7 turnovers, so they are not as bad as they looked against Rutgers.  MSU is not good.  But they are probably better than they looked last Saturday.

2.  Covering such a huge spread is always iffy because the game is usually decided fairly early and the leader takes the foot off the gas and puts in lots of 2nd and third string guys for large parts of the 4th.  Final score can end up looking less dominant than what actually happened when the 1s were on the field.
