It's Petitti all over again…

It's Petitti all over again.  People who suck at leadership and who are completely threatened by someone who demonstrates genuine leadership.  Instead of taking the high road or making the right (sometimes unpopular in the media) decisions they stoop to petty, childish acts in an abuse of power.  Just a bunch of scared, infantile puppets.

Let's not forget that he got…

Let's not forget that he got a huge personal gain by playing nice and being so passive with the NCAA, Petitti, the media and Michigan's rivals.  Warde didn't lift a finger to support Harbaugh or the football program through all of those "scandals" (he actually did the opposite, as you point out) and now - what do you know, he's the head of the selection committee.  Nice resume boost and personal gain for Warde.  He doesn't care about building champions or being a leader.  He cares about his own image and prestige.

If they were talking, then…

If they were talking, then that meant that JH had at least some interest in staying.  That means it could have been accomplished.  This was the most important task in Warde Manuel's professional career and he shit the bed.  He then compounded his failure by refusing to stand up for the university, the football team and the head coach when the witch hunt started - actions that we now know were motivated by his desire to personally look good for his run at the head of the playoff committee and to build his personal resume.  It is shocking that anyone on the BoR is even entertaining a contract extension for him.  Is there even one positive thing that he accomplished as an AD?  He certainly had nothing to do with the national championship,

Exactly.  This explains a…

Exactly.  This explains a lot about his complete failure to stand up for his university and to failure to accomplish meaningful tasks as the AD of Michigan.  He didn't want to jeopardize his chance to build his personal resume.  Leaders and Best.  We had one of the great leaders in Harbaugh, who set an example, stood up for what he believed in and taught others what leadership is all about.  Then over the last few months we saw two complete failures at leadership - Tony Petitti and Warde Manuel.  Petitti, who let the mob and social media make decisions for him and Manuel, who refused to do what was right and stand up for anything just so he could gain personally from not making waves.

Oh great.  Yet another thing…

Oh great.  Yet another thing that Petitti will suspend Harbaugh for.  NCAA investigation must mean Harbaugh did something.

Hysterical - Finebaum:  "I was actually cheering for him last night.  I can't explain it.  Probably something weird from when I was a baby."

I thought it was a bit…

I thought it was a bit ironic that Stephen A. was in a box with a bunch of Michigan fans, including Derek Jeter.

I'm really glad that you…

I'm really glad that you made this thread.  Donovan has been a great team player this year (and throughout his career).  I was at the Rutgers game last year in NJ and he carried tons of enthusiasm and energy on the sideline.  What a great young man.  It was great to see him with that burst of speed on those runs.  Even in the Alabama game there were a couple of glimpses of his aggressive running that we were missing earlier in the season.  Just those little things like falling forward with momentum instead of getting pushed backwards.  I'm so happy for him.

Admittedly I was doing the…

Admittedly I was doing the same thing that McGregor was.  He threw his guy 6 yards and I was like "holy shit what a block!" and then "wait - go get that other ...  oh well"

Jim Harbaugh is a world…

Jim Harbaugh is a world class leader.  He does what is right.  He does it his way.  He does it with humility and with love.  And he teaches young men how to be leaders.  The young men who play under him are learning life-long lessons that go way beyond the playing field.

Jim Harbaugh is the opposite of Tony Petitti.

Cheeseburgers help achieve greatness?!?!   I knew I was on the right track!

I guess they ignore the fact…

I guess they ignore the fact that OSU - as already acknowledged - eliminated the "advantage" by actually changing their signs before the Michigan game, huh?

Can't wait for the hypocrite…

Can't wait for the hypocrite SEC/ESPN cronies who will try to claim that Alabama was the better team and Michigan got lucky.  Umm, can you say Auburn?

Can we please see another… Can we please see another Charmin commercial?

I agree.  I thought he was…

I agree.  I thought he was really solid.  I still think at least 50% of the first interception is on MHJ easing up on the route and not fighting through.  The final interception was forced by the pressure and they were in desperation mode, so that's a tough situation.  His biggest fault seemed to be staring down receivers a bit too much, but good QB's can usually improve on that.

I suspect that 90% of us feel the same way - we would have done something to take a jab at Little Titties.  And yet, there is JH showing what an honorable man he is.  If you believe in turning the other cheek, JH truly is an example.  I don't know how he has such restraint.

Good observation.  Couldn't even bother wearing the color of the conference.  There's a man (term used loosely) who knows what side his bread is buttered on.

So the committee thinks FSU is worse than Bama but FSU is better than Georgia?  Huh?

Totally.  He is devastated. …

Totally.  He is devastated.  He just came out with a horrifying statement, saying that he wished he had gotten injured earlier in the season so that they could prove themselves without him.  Ugh

Does the CFP committee drop…

Does the CFP committee drop their guidelines after the first four teams?  If the criteria gets thrown out, okay.  If not, then how did the committee rank FSU above Georgia?  Isn't it basically the same analysis?  Georgia lost to Bama in a close, hard-fought game.  If the committee is trying to rank according to which team is "better," that seems pretty hypocritical.

Booger M. speaking the truth…

If you ask Kirby, Georgia is…

If you ask Kirby, Georgia is still No. 1.  He apparently thinks that the eye test and recruiting NFL talent is all that matters, not wins and losses.  From his post-game presser:   "I think it's the eye test"; and "Go ask NFL talent evaluators. Ask NFL scouts. It's about the best teams."

Serious question - who has…

Serious question - who has the power to fire him?  He is the epitome of a horrific leader - inmates are definitely running this asylum.  Yet, who actually has the power to get rid of him?  If it's a vote of the AD's from all of the schools in the conference, I have very little confidence that most of them would have the balls to go against OSU's wishes.  And if it's the special committee of four (3 of whom are PSU and OSU), well we know how that will go.

Let's hope it gets done fast…

Let's hope it gets done fast.  The media is so fucking annoying.  I just saw an article with the headline "Jim Harbaugh linked to Bears ..."  Well, it turns out that within the Bears organization they talked about bringing in Harbaugh IF HE DECIDES TO LEAVE COLLEGE BALL.   In other words, there is absolutely no link at all.  Talk about click-bait-y headlines.   Kinda sounds like all the headlines linking Harbaugh to the so-called sign stealing.

The thought that popped into my head was "so you're saying that OSU stole Michigan's signs?!?!?!"

I would love to see JH give a huge (classic JH) smile up close to Petitti's face and hang onto the handshake extra long so that it becomes a wee bit uncomfortable.
