Mel Tucker is too ill to participate in today's hearing
Tucker won't participate, his attorneys said, because of a "serious medical condition," the details of which have not been disclosed.
Evidently, Tucker's lawyer also sent roughly 100 pages of new evidence to MSU.
The letter included an eight-page letter from one of Tucker's lawyers, Jennifer Belveal, and 98 pages of what the attorney calls previously undisclosed evidence that paints Tracy has been motivated by money. Belveal also is alleging that Tracy deleted "key" evidence.
"We want to be certain that each of you are privy to come some of the newly discovered evidence, primarily in the form of messages authored by Ms. Tracy herself, but also including witness statements, that she hoped (and obviously anticipated) you would never see," Belveal wrote.
The new evidence appears to not be public at the moment, from what I can tell.

consensual encounter....is still sexual harassment.
Actually it isn't

Here's what that encounter would look like had it been consensual: Brenda Tracy would have been aware that Tucker was about to masturbate and would have given her explicit consent ("Yes, Mel, I understand what you're about to do and I am in favor of it. Go right ahead."). Consent is not when you realize what's happening after it's already started and you freeze because you're not sure how to respond.

Try that with an employee. When it goes bad, no one will care if it was consensual.

Hahahaha. Tell those ninnies what’s what, Mel. And let ‘em know you’ll take your $90 mil at your hospital bed as, yes, it is very serious, thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

Tugger wanks by the Red Cedar,
It's a fact that's known to all;
HIs specialty is sinning,
When he's on a late night call
Tucker's schlong is often beaten,
When it's in a grip that's so tight...

What basketball coach was Brenda Tracy involved with, according to Tucker's attorney?

Damon Stoudamire. Not Izzo, sorry.

Did she really write “…each of you are privy to come some of the newly discovered evidence…”?????
This seems like something she probably shouldn’t say, but I’m not an attorney.

No, she didn't. A typo from the DetNews that I copypasta'd. They have since fixed their mistake.
There shouldn't be any "come" there...I mean...come was improperly inserted...never mind.
Here's the document from the lawyer:

Seems like he could still phone it in.
When his lawyer says something good he could chime in "Oh yeah, yeah, chop that wood baby!"

This is why I read this blog. You folks are so much more clever and sarcastic than I could ever hope to be.

Allegedly, he’s had a few strokes in the past.

More than four hours, I guess you're supposed to seek medical attention.

The texts haven’t been independently verified as coming from Tracy, we don’t know how they came in possession of the texts, and the witness remains unnamed publicly. The witness did make these statements under oath.
The texts documents is heavily and selected redacted and his lawyers have $80 million reasons to obfuscate and misrepresent what allegedly went on.
An independent investigation is necessary IMO.
