MBB @ Northwestern Game Thread on BTN

Anyone else feel like free throw shooting is going to be the downfall of this team in the tournament? We give up at least a handful of points each game in freebies. 

This team has absolutely collapsed since they got an early 10 point lead. FFS.

Have to admit that I hear crowd noise now.

They stop the game for a 5 minute review to call a common foul? What did they need for a flagrant? A compound fracture?

Not really trying to get inside the zone except the one MAAR drive that got a foul.

0 field goals in the first four+ minutes of the second half. Only one free throw. Getting absolutely killed. 34-20 run since we had a 13-3 lead. My God.

The last few weeks

We traded our usually shitty starts in the first half for a shitty start in the second half. 

Either way, it's frustrating as hell. 

Not a good team on O. Coach B's teams never been great on D. This year better than most. Probably worst O team I've seen in his era. Matthews and Z are garbage. Duncan can only sit in corner. Lots of pressure on MAAR & Mo. Mo stands outside too much. Just frustrating.

Skelly’s cheap shot appears to have energized Northwestern. I guess that’s what happens when you decide to run a dirty program.

That either the current freshman or soon to be freshman pass Z and Matthews for 2018-19 season. Ceiling for this group isn't that high. This team on O is about as bad as our football team lol!!

Matthews: 1-4 shooting with 4 turnovers (making up 67% of the team's total turnovers).

Matthews lack of awareness is insane. The amount of times he drives with 4 second left on the clock into nothing, or drives into 4 guys refusing to pass. He definitely thinks he's a lot better than he is.

This team has been pretty mediocre since beating Sparty. Barely beat undermanned Maryland and Minnesota teams at home. Blown out by Nebraska. Played Purdue tough but no cigar. Team needs to get its groove back. I know he was injured tonight - hopefully not serious - but Livers needs to go back to coming off the bench. He was much better as a 6th man than as a starter.

Guess we decided to switch it up today. Good first half and a stone cold second half.

Have to have a PG who can shoot, a slasher who doesn’t dribble off his leg and generally dribble to bad places on the court.

Just out of sorts. They don’t have that guy who can either get a bucket when they need one and direct the offense when things get bogged down.
