Maurice Clarett to record Michigan’s signals vs. Purdue
The Ohio State flameout expressed his intentions on Twitter:
I’m going to the Michigan game next week and doing recon on their signs. Posting my findings on social media for all opponents to see. Give them a taste of their own Ponzi scheme.
— Maurice Clarett (@ReeseClarett13) October 29, 2023
Who among the members of the Vast Network plan to return the favor when OSU visits Piscataway next Saturday (and for the rest of their schedule, for that matter)?

Yeah, he needs to stick with armed robbery.
A ponzi scheme would be more of Art Schlichter's racket.

Pon·zi scheme

"A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that pays existing investors with funds collected from new investors."

I feel like people constantly want to point out that the incorrect use of "literally" and the invention of the fake word "irregardless" all become legitimate simply because of common usage. So, after a couple more tweets from OSU slappys that repeat Mo's misuse, and suddenly his use of ponzi scheme will be acceptable.
October 29th, 2023 at 2:53 PM ^
Unfortunately, irregardless is a real word. I had that argument with someone about 25 years ago. I checked a dictionary and found it. It has literally the same definition as regardless, which makes it a dumb word.
October 29th, 2023 at 12:14 PM ^
You could also film the sidelines with a GoPro?
Maybe he meant Panzer scheme though.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:56 AM ^
That OSU education at work. Clearly this is a textbook "Ponzi scheme." You go Maurice...pinnacle of integrity.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:56 AM ^
Good for him. I appreciate his efforts to prove our point.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:56 AM ^
If I'm not mistaken, Michigan uses wristbands.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:00 AM ^
It's almost like there's a cheap, proven, and foolproof way to obviate the entire situation.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:00 AM ^
Crazy, right???
October 29th, 2023 at 2:56 PM ^
But those warranties!
October 29th, 2023 at 11:16 AM ^
Wasn't that (plays on the wristband) a thing Michigan started doing when JH was a player? I have a vague recollection of some Jack Moss puff piece (or maybe a serious sports journalist) about it back in the day.
October 29th, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
You can do that when your players know how to read.

How do I get in on this Ponzi scheme of which he speaks? #VastNetworkPyramid
October 29th, 2023 at 10:59 AM ^
No doubt all his video will be in "Slo-Mo"..... just like his NFL Combine results.
October 29th, 2023 at 10:59 AM ^
Before anyone asks, this is how he is funding the endeavor. The old Michigan bottle return using a “free” truck.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:02 AM ^
When Maurice Clarett threatens you with anything, you probably should probably listen.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:09 AM ^
Loving the lint roller.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:13 AM ^
Gotta stay lint-free while attempting to assassinate witnesses.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:20 AM ^
“Why should we have to have lint if we came here to kill,” former Ohio State Buckeyes running back Maurice Clarett tweeted in October. “We ain't come to play kill, lint is POINTLESS.”
October 29th, 2023 at 11:23 AM ^
CSI thrives on lint.

This article about his arrest is wild:
Clarett hid one semi-automatic handgun under his legs in the driver's seat and had an AK-47-type assault rifle on the passenger seat, police said. They said they found two other semi-automatic handguns, including one in a holster in a backpack... When police tried to shock Clarett, they couldn't because of the vest and used pepper spray. Police say he wove in and out of lanes, did a U-turn on a freeway and refused to leave the SUV after a spike stick flattened its tires...It took several officers to handcuff him, and he kicked the doors of a transport vehicle as he was being taken to the city's police headquarters, Woods said.
But this made me LOL:
"Clarett had planned to play for the Youngstown-based Mahoning Valley Hitmen, one of five teams in the Eastern Indoor Football League."
I guess Clarett was packing as part of his off-season conditioning to play for the Hitmen.
"Hitmen coach and owner Jim Terry said he spoke with Clarett by cell phone early Wednesday about upcoming tryouts and there was no hint anything was wrong.
The arrest will not affect Clarett's status with the team, Terry said.
"We gave him a chance and now we'll wait to see what happens," he said. "I've seen far worse situations than this."

I'm sure he'll be an absolute joy to sit next to.

Good lord, it's not a ponzi scheme. I mean, at least get your crimes correct. This isn't UM giving away signs to some teams now by tricking other teams to give them their own signs with a promise of better signs in the future.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:11 AM ^
You are asking too much for someone who never played school.

Ah, but that's the brilliance of Stalions—that's precisely his scheme, but he's convinced you otherwise.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:06 AM ^
Honestly I hope this catches on. Bring sign stealing into the sunlight. More random people should film sidelines and upload to public spaces like Twitter or YouTube.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:44 AM ^
TV networks already do film the sidelines lol
October 29th, 2023 at 12:40 PM ^
The first time Purdue goes on offense everyone in the stands should stand up en masse and point their phones at the Purdue sideline.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:06 AM ^
He won't have the patience for doing it for the whole game, but good thought Mo.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:32 AM ^
I would actually be surprised if he could stand up and hold his phone straight for an entire game. Too hard to do that and "get your Goose on" at the same time.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:09 AM ^
That is what I have been saying. There is no secret signals, they are open for everyone to see. And anyone can upload clips to social media. Baseball signals between catcher and pitcher are fundamentally different.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:12 AM ^
I for one, enjoy watching college football a whole hell of a lot less now that blocking and tackling, coaching and development, recruiting, the weather ect. have been revealed to be completely irrelevant to the outcomes of games. Everything hinges on signals. Boring sport.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:31 AM ^
Slow down there, bub. We all know the weather illegally conspired with Michigan in the 2021 Michigan/OSU game.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:12 AM ^
The guy whose entire high school and college transcript is made up? Awesome. This only shows how stupid this NCAA rule is, there's no way the NCAA can take this sort of thing seriously, everyone is showing how stupid and unenforceable this rule is and why they should have gotten rid of it long ago.
October 29th, 2023 at 11:15 AM ^
Michigan, and especially Jim Harbaugh, have a bullseye on their backs!
Win out and make a statement to the college football world!
October 29th, 2023 at 11:19 AM ^
Ugh, so many people think ponzi scheme means "anything bad." It's a fairly specific form of financial fraud, it's not a catch all for any type of cheating or lying.

Maurice Clarett Madoff with our signs!!

Good. Bring this out into the light - everyone is going to do it (if they weren’t already…) - and NCAA is going to be forced to amend the rule with minimal consequences for M
