This is the look of a team that didn't want to come back out after halftime.
November 28th, 2021 at 8:55 PM ^
I get the feeling that we weren’t in any way intimidated by Ohio State yesterday….
November 28th, 2021 at 9:04 PM ^
They sure didn't sound like it, lol!
November 28th, 2021 at 9:28 PM ^
Not at all. Started from the get go in the tunnel. Go rewatch some other rivalry losses in previous seasons under Harbaugh. Our sideline looked just like OSU's yesterday...lethargic. This team has been pumped to play all season. It is refreshing to see. People on here for a long time have been discounting how much motivation and emotion matters in this sport.
I feel that other Harbaugh teams would have let that interception get to them as well, but not this one.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:46 PM ^
Is it safe to say that you have, at least momentarily, stepped back from the ledge? Lol
November 28th, 2021 at 11:50 PM ^
I've finally seen a Michigan team reach it's potential for only maybe the fifth time since I started watching at age 8 in 2002. 2003, 2004, 2006, 2011, and 2021. Even 2003 and 2004 finished with two losses and 2006 a loss to OSU. This has basically been the best season I've seen. What's there to be on the ledge about?
November 29th, 2021 at 6:21 AM ^
This has basically been the best season I've seen
And yet you've spent the whole time up to now concern trolling on this board.
November 28th, 2021 at 10:06 PM ^
I hope you don’t start pretending like you’re a Michigan fan. You’re the most miserable kind of fan.
November 28th, 2021 at 11:47 PM ^
I dont need to "pretend" whatever that means, lol. I was there on Saturday.
November 28th, 2021 at 10:38 PM ^
Has OSU's lines looked this weak all year? Their line is so pedestrian wtihout Bosa / Bosa / Young.
November 28th, 2021 at 8:59 PM ^
OSU was down by 1 at halftime! Unreal the difference.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:03 PM ^
and had just scored and was getting the ball to start the second half
November 28th, 2021 at 9:30 PM ^
Maybe our team does this every time they're in Madison, but I was just amazed how between the 3rd and 4th quarters when they did the "jump around", it was the U of M team doing the jump around not the badgers. That showed me something as did this game of course.
November 28th, 2021 at 8:59 PM ^
This is amazing. No fear. BIG energy. Osu thought they could dogwalk M(again) and this team changed the narrative. By force. And by attitude.
Words can't express how happy I am about this team.
I'm just a nameless fan, but I'm damn proud of Coach Harbaugh, the coaching staff, and these young men.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:00 PM ^
Damn... we all saw them at the locker rooms but damn, this incredible. Ohio State sauntering, barely speaking to one another, on their way followed up by a hyped and ready for more Michigan team... fucking love it!
November 28th, 2021 at 9:00 PM ^
I would like to know what Vincent Gray was saying to Garret Wilson on the sideline after that one play. The reaction from the OSU WR coach Brian Hartline was priceless.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:26 PM ^
Yep, I thought that exchange was very interesting. It was so good to see Gray stepping up and standing up. Fantastic.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:01 PM ^
Cade is right, there is that special something about this team. That mix of talent, focus, confidence, a good attitude, and whatever else make up special teams. That second half, man we blitzed them.
November 28th, 2021 at 10:11 PM ^
Stuff like this is usually just feelingsball.
But the results speak for themselves. Wisconsin. PSU. Now this. A team that takes punches to the face… and punches back. Harder.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:05 PM ^
The tougher team won.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:08 PM ^
Did you see the Michigan player reaction cutting across camera after the first OSU TD? He was pissed off...like how dare they score they're gonna be sorry kind of look ...never saw that before with M players
November 28th, 2021 at 9:05 PM ^
Wow. If in context of any sort at all, really suggests a mentality that some of their team thought The Game was going to be a turkey shoot like against MSU. "Wait, what? These guys are actually gonna play? AND they're good? Shit."
November 28th, 2021 at 9:05 PM ^
They were shocked they took a punch in the mouth in a hostile environment. All season long it came too easy (and peacefully) for them.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:20 PM ^
Lots of young players on the Buckeyes who never played at the big house were told it’s not intimidating. I was there and it was dam hostile. I know the teams different, but so are the fans. It was like a bunch of rabid dogs trying to get out to chew your leg off. I’m 48, been going to games since Polaroids were around and never heard the absolute anger in the fans like yesterday. Under the lights was electric but in a (look at the lights) kind of way. Yesterday was 111k who were tired of being bullied and it showed.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:37 PM ^
I am subscribing to your blog. Anymore anecdotal stories of the dog wanting to chew Bucnut leg kind?
November 28th, 2021 at 9:57 PM ^
This is pretty much exactly how I've described the atmosphere to folks pinging me after the game wanting to know what it was like. Intense and angry.
November 28th, 2021 at 10:48 PM ^
Spot on! I was there and have never been in such a rabid, hungry crowd, myself included. It was amazing!
November 29th, 2021 at 12:10 AM ^
Agreed. I was at both the UTL games and Washington this year. I think the OSU game was louder than any of them. The crowd even at Washington was different though, not a typical Michigan crowd, which good, it's about time we start defending what's ours. If you read OSU sites our crowd has kind of morphed into what OSU used to be, while many say the Horseshoe is quiet where old people yell at you sit down, and is no longer intimidating.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:54 PM ^
Yep. Based on watching the game (twice now), reading quite a bit about it, reading other posts on here, etc... my take is the O*** players were arrogant and a collection of individuals more so than a team. They got what was coming to them. M made them look physically and mentally weak all day.
November 28th, 2021 at 10:22 PM ^
I don't know who or when they hired to take over GameDay entertainment. That person deserves a raise.
The difference in the last couple seasons of the in-game entertainment has been outstanding and a major boost in crowd involvement.
I went to the night game early this season and then, since I have recently moved to PA scored some tickets to the white out vs Auburn the following week and while the cultures are different, the Michigan game was a more electric environment throught the game.
This would not have been the case just a couple years ago.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:05 PM ^
You would have thought that it was Michigan that has dominated the series for the last 20yrs.
November 28th, 2021 at 10:35 PM ^
I don't feel that way actually. I think what you see there is the hunger and the energy of the angry underdog. This is Clubber Lang vs Rocky in Rocky III. Michigan played like they were waiting all their lives for that game, OSU played like this was just another day to show off their strength and skill and put a beating on the opposition.
It's not that they weren't motivated, it's not that they didn't want to really win the game, it's that they didn't realize how high a mountain it would be they'd need to climb to win it. Michigan on the other side knew they'd have to earn every yard the hard way, and they embraced it. They had fun doing it. I've re-watched the game twice and you could just see how in the 4th quarter the OSU guys' body language was that of someone having a really bad day at work and just wanting to go home.
I feel like for too long Michigan thought this was a meeting of equals - out of pride. A guy like Harbaugh grew up around the rivalry being a grudge match between two alphas. And that's why it never felt like Michigan could channel and utilize the energy that allows teams like MSU to always give their best effort of the year vs Michigan or even Auburn doing it against Bama. Michigan didn't want to buy into this image of being the up and comer who needs to kick OSU off their pedestal. I think this Michigan team did. They went in hard and with a chip on their shoulder, and when they realized they were tougher than the opposition, the confidence grew and the punches got even harder.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:06 PM ^
As Cade it put it they’ve been prepping for this game since Jan 1. This team played together and believed in one another. OSU looked like a bunch of bored professionals who thought they’d skate by on their talent. Love this team!
November 28th, 2021 at 9:06 PM ^
Some Karen had a problem with that scene as well as where their band was sitting. Damn, she got lit up with the responses lol
November 28th, 2021 at 9:10 PM ^
Saw that. Loved it as much as the video.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:13 PM ^
My brother went to MSU, asked me if I thought this showed class on Michigan’s part.
I said “I dunno, but it sure makes me feel good”
November 28th, 2021 at 9:15 PM ^
Is it down in that thread on Twitter, or do you have a link somewhere else?
November 28th, 2021 at 11:20 PM ^
I saw it on that thread
November 28th, 2021 at 9:29 PM ^
Is there a video or post you can share of this Karen? I enjoy drinking buckeye tears.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:52 PM ^
It's in the replies in the Twitter link in the OP.

Gotta love her exquisite use of the letter X. Didn’t even spell it out. Now we’re just X. These morons have got to be a blast to try and have a conversation with. You’d dam near need a decoder ring or a translator.
November 28th, 2021 at 10:52 PM ^
Crossing out the M’s is the dumbest shit ever.
November 29th, 2021 at 9:29 AM ^
especially since they always fuck it up.
November 29th, 2021 at 3:10 AM ^
She covers a lot of trash-from-Ohio bases here. But one she forgot was the bomb sniffing dogs from 2004. Michigan AD may have sidled a step into Ohio's approach to this game by putting the band in the cheap seats, but no one shits on their guest like Ohio State.
November 29th, 2021 at 12:19 AM ^
As soon as I walked through the entrance to my section and saw their stupid ass band way up there I chuckled. Good on whoever put them up there. No reason to cater to those idiots.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:06 PM ^
I don't know what changed within the program last off-season, but you can tell the team developed the necessary mental edge to win when it matters. All the more impressive reeling off four consecutive, impressive wins after the MSU game.
I didn't think Jim Harbaugh would ever make it back to the top after that 2016 OSU loss. I am so glad I was wrong. He is one tough SOB. I apologize for ever doubting him.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:09 PM ^
They flat out got bullied like Red from Friday.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:12 PM ^
I'm reminded of that moment when Brown ripped Roman Wilson's helmet off, and Brown was immediately walled off by three o-linemen who rushed up to defend their comrade. THAT sent a message; you're not bullying us in our house. Not anymore. One thing I didn't expect--and maybe no one expected--was the dominance of our lines. Our o-line shoved their defense around like they were scarlet and gray bobblehead dolls. Their offensive tackles were so terrorized by very the thought of Hutchinson and Ojabo bearing down on them that they false started...5 times? Or was it six? Michigan didn't just beat them. Michigan intimidated them. Michigan beat them up.
November 28th, 2021 at 9:24 PM ^
During that scrum, there was another poignant moment by one of our O-linemen. One of the refs got knocked over and was about to get trampled when Keegan ran up, helped him to his feet and stood with his arm on the ref's shoulder to protect him until he was stable on his feet again.
That's the class that we hope and expect to see on our side. We will crush you between the lines in the course and flow of play. We will protect our own when you step outside those lines. And we'll protect the innocent.
