This is a high risk-high reward strategy because of the morale and coaching problems it might create. It’s more than just championship or bust for the year. It could be bust for several years or a generation.

But there is a happy medium. And overall I wish we had more talent coming aboard but not so much that we create this kind of logjam potential that can lead to malcontents.

I thought Michigan was going to bring Ohio State down with all the dirt they had. Seems like our administration and regents just gave up in late November with the TRO. Now we are just going to let OSU cheat.

They definitely care check the case against Florida State and Florida. They can’t do much about NIL, but they can enforce the pay to play because that is against the rules and the SEC is pissed about OSU buying players off their teams. That’s the one thing the NCAA isn’t going to let slide. It won’t happen immediately but bad things are coming for OSU, especially with the AD they hired. The NCAA hates him and wants to get the outright open buying of other players under control.

This is a good point.  OSU and its reckless new AD have moved into the SEC mob's territory.  They are not going to take that sitting down.

That a Big Ten school (us!) beat the SEC champion on the way to the National Championship has already frosted their ass.  They are not going just sit by and watch it happen year after year.  Look at Lane's tweet for example.

OSU is in the crosshairs of some very powerful and influential people.

We arent OSU, Bama, Texas A and M or Miami but we have a "one more year" fund.

Its kind of hilarious that that may be several times worse than cheeseburgers or sign-gate. We are paying the players to stay another year. And to be clear I am TOTALLY for it but its a pay to play fund and absolutely 0% for any kind of NIL deal. Its wild that we have titles stating we are paying to play and they dont care. Cheeseburgers though? Holy shit wont anyone think of the children?

Dude if a pant shitting 3 point output vs Mizzou (a team that recruits well below even Michigan) and that turd is drawing them in I dont know what to tell you. Wins matter to fans $$$$ and NFL are the only thing that matters to players anymore, I guess.

How they can look worse than they have their last two games is beyond me. I just dont think players care anymore.

Not sure how they are going to keep everyone happy there. Gotta think these new guys are getting some pretty sweet $$$ All the guys that have been 'true buckeyes' can't be happy with these new guys taking all the money.

And all these recent moves are before the AD who fired up the A&M money cannon (I know he's incompetent in other areas) arrives. I'm enjoying the championship honeymoon but it's hard to ignore that OSU is much more set up to succeed than us for the next decade.

I’m a bit worried. At some point talent accumulation can work-look at Alabama, albeit the coaching there is better than Ohio State. I’m astonished how little impact winning 3 Big 10 titles has done for our recruiting.  We do need at least some elite recruits, no matter how good the coaching is.

All of this money and they aren’t fixing the problem. They still have Day, and the only OL “upgrade” was bringing in Snappy Musketballs to play center.

Honestly this will be a big test of my theory that Ryan Day is a shit coach and can’t win no matter how much talent he has.  I’m pretty confident in that theory so I’m really enjoying Buckeye fans getting their hopes up.

In addition, this gives me great joy to see how much money they are spending in response to their arch rivals winning a title. They are down bad…considering the gigantic superiority complex they had until recently it is very fulfilling to see them scrambling to turn the tides again.
