After all, Bo had them. Then to refresh my memory, I looked for a picture and I saw this:
It's too much, even for Hammerstein.

The main problem was he was too damn good.
I can't believe anything thinks that is appropriate for our helmet.
It's beyond tacky.
Those stickers were hideous. Please no!!
What if the stickers are solid blue so they blend into the helmet? :O
Those were the only of the uniformz I thought were OK. The big M was cool. If it didn't have the stripes it'd be really awesome.

Let's face it, if we lost that game nobody would like them.

You think this is an ugly jersey?
I don't think the shoulder stripes were necessary, but the huge M is awesome (and is a throwback to the original uniforms).
Anything with Denard is a thing of beauty.

If Bo wanted them, I'm down. And if Harbaugh wants them, make them a little cleaner look and I'm all for it.
It’s a tradition many believe started with Woody Hayes and the Buckeyes in the late 1960s but thanks to the piece in Hail to the Victors 2010 by John Kryk (with Steve Sapardanis), we know that the tradition was actually started by Bo. Kryk described the scene in 1969 when Schembechler announced that the Wolverines would be placed stickers on their helmets after games: “Oh, like Woody?” a reporter asked. “Uh-uh.” Schembechler grinned triumphantly. “Woody got the idea from me.” Kryk goes on to trace the start back of the “big-play” stickers to 1965, Bo’s third season at Miami, OH (then still nicknamed the Redskins). They used little red tomahawks.
The point of the stickers is not how they look. Yes we have a great helmet design but it's not a beauty pagent out there. I'm for them - if stickers are part of how Harbaugh instills competition and offers recognition and merit, who can argue with the results?
If they were 1/10 th the size, and ddn't clutter the helmet so much.
I'm for the stickers, though under the same strict terms of Bo's time. In those days it took a heck of a lot more to earn one than it does at an OSU or a Georgia of an FSU. It's evident the Buckeyes (and others) give them out for the most modest of accomplishments. Not so Michigan. Give them out, but make them special and legitimate signs of accomplishment.
Grew up with Bo. Bring 'em back.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we have stickers this year. Harbaugh had them when he played at Michigan, and he had them when he coached at Stanford.

If it's any consolation for the anti-sticker crowd, the helmets start the season sticker-free. So you get what you want early on, and we get what we want later.

I'm out on the football things from the 80's but I would fine with maize block M's for football acheviments on the blue part of the helmet and blue block M's for acedemic acheivments. It's a rip off of Georgia and their bones but I don't like the big helmet stickers on the Michigan helmet. If you have a helmet like Ohio State, FSU or even MSU it's one thing but the Michigan helmet already is more complex than most.
Thank You!

Thanks Brandon.
Especially the last one...awesome picture, his helmet is atrocious, because he's you know...GOOD and has a bunch of stickers versus just a couple.

Bring back the great performances that earned the stickers.
