Bailey is a good talent, but Michigan is still in on a few very good 2020 QBs.  I live in Knoxville and believe me.....the Vols need this kid much, much more than UM does and he knows it.  Saturday’s ass beating at OSU probably didn’t have anything to do with this recruiting outcome.  The chance to play early and play closer to home were probably the biggest factors.  UM is fine at QB....any freaking out about not getting him is an over reaction.

I'm going full internet conspiracy theory and am thinking Pep is moving on and this kid got wind of it.  I have no facts or information to back this up.

Cant believe this guy chose the current Vols team over Michigan. What a dunce. Who wants a kid with the last name Bailey anyway? Sounds like a brittle boned tall skinny white boy still on the tit with no mobility. Guarantee that's what he is. I'm not racist and I'm not black. This team needs a dude who can run and juke. Then when you need it, toss that sucker 60 yards in the air. Don't need any John Navarres back there now days. I'll take DKaff but just give me a Devin Gardner 2.0 with an ounce more athleticism and coaching. Milton is that you yelling?

Maybe in two or three years, Michigan will learn how much this recruiting loss has hurt, but go back three years when Rashan Gary was considered the top-rated prospect in the Class of 2016.  Look at the list of top high school quarterbacks in the Class of 2016 rated by 24/7 Sports.  LINK  How many of the top 20 QB's on that list have had a significant impact for the teams with which they signed?

Shea Patterson (1), Jacob Eason (2), Malik Henry (4), Brandon McIlwain (9), Jack Allison (10), Patrick O'Brien (15), Woody Barrett (16), Zerrick Cooper (17), Messiah DeWeaver (18) and Devon Modster (20) aren't playing for the teams that signed them. That's half of the top 20, and Brandon Peters (6) is rumored to be on transfer watch from Michigan and Jalen Hurts (13) might have to decide whether to stay at Alabama.

Among the other QB's on that list are Notre Dame's Ian Book (35), Iowa's Nathan Stanley (37), Oregon's Justin Herbert (43) and Indiana's Peyton Ramsey (78).  They seem to have worked out reasonably well for the teams that signed them, despite not having been rated in the top 20.

Besides, how many of the top-rated high school quarterbacks and wide receivers in the Class of 2020 could be looking at Michigan's offense under Jim Harbaugh and his assistants and thinking, "Yeah, THAT's the place where I can show off my talents for the NFL"?

In fact, considering how Harbaugh is willing to take quarterback transfers and the rate at which top-rated quarterbacks seem to be bailing on the teams where they first sign, it could very well be that in 2020, Michigan will be looking to add another transfer quarterback, instead of worrying that Harrison Bailey rejected Michigan's offer.

That’s what happens when you loose and give up 60 and continue to run up the middle in the late 3rd and 4th quarter when it’s 2nd and 10... very disappointing

Bailey would have been a nice pickup.  He reminded me of Brandon Peters with his size and mobility. Good arm, average athleticism. Apparently Bailey is a good leader. I would like to see us keep recruiting more guys like, Patterson, Milton, McNamara and McCaffrey.  Guys with above average mobility and strong arm. If you wonder why one of the reasons Andrew Luck was so successful, he was a much better athlete than most people realize.

I'm hearing that there are a few factors in why he picked UT:

  • Playing time. Tennessee is pretty thin at QB right now and the guys they have are all 3*s
  • I've heard Bailey is considering reclassifying to 2019, and obviously that would work out better at UT based on the QB situation
  • Pep Hamilton having an uncertain future

we have McCaffrey, Milton, McNamara all in waiting...  actually I figured a high rated QB wouldn't want to be behind that, and we'd have a year pause.
