I think you found one of the core problems of this program the last 30 years.
PR, Hype, PR, Hype, Branding, Hype, then the play never backs it up. The players, fans are indoctrinated into thinking they're the best. Other teams use this as motivation, and Michigan players / fans don't know what to do when smacked in the face by reality.

This is the complete truth..
It makes me furious that more of our fanbase doesn't acknowledge this truth of our program..
I've heard for a long time that Michigan is hated by most of the countries other fanbases and institutions and the younger me couldn't understand why. Now that I'm a little older everything makes a lot more sense, and it hurts a lot.
The fact is this program and the institution of Michigan itself is filled with a ton of undeserved arrogance and a large portion of our alumni and fan base acts delusionally entitled that it's all but guaranteed our time for greatness is just around the corner.
I sincerely hope that this program and fan base can become humbled..

I only wish we could find some way to combine academics with football, because we play with the lowest football IQ imaginable on the sidelines, at times. I know that this is only one game, Ben Mason even got carries on offense, this year is a work in progress, etc, but year 2-5 problems all being the same problems that cost these kids games sucks, man. I've been desperately grasping at lifelines for belief for a couple years now and I've got nothing..

And they should be. I haven't been part of the UNACCEPTABLE crowd, but this showing is unacceptable. Case closed. There has been zero improvement since Army, and they weren't ready for anything UW is doing on either defense or offense. They aren't fighting - and that is a direct indictment of the coaching staff.
It's time Harbaugh feels some heat. He should not be comfortable when his teams look like this.
All that said, if anyone thinks Warde Manual would actually fire Jim Harbaugh, you haven't been paying attention. I don't even think Warde will discuss this total lack of preparation with him.

That half of football was absolutely indefensible. One bad break and everything unravels. Both sides of the ball look lost by the second quarter.
The defense is more disappointing than the offense, given the context. Wisconsin just tore them up worse than OSU did last year in the first half. Their run fits have been insanely bad at times. This is astonishing.

His teams are never ready to play football. Every single fucking road game the players show up slow, unable to execute, and get gashed, even by Northwestern. Sick of watching these kids forever playing catch-up, and digging themselves out of holes. I actually mean it when I say this, but Harbaugh isn't a good football coach anymore.
