I get that he really wants to be with his mentor, but at some point the training wheels have to come off and you have to be able to succeed without Biff. If he makes it to the league, he's going to have to do so without Biff being his coach (probably). I understand the move but at the same time really feel like it may benefit his future more to stay here. Oh well. Good luck Okie.

Kinda surprising, but I wonder if this is a NIL/free-agent situation. Seems like a foregone conclusion that quality upperclassmen will start using the portal to try to maximize their NIL value on the open market.

TomVH suggests the Biff move is the leading factor here.  Sometimes, people weigh different factors - allegedly, Okie really likes Biff. I don't know if there is much more to it than that.

I do realize that it may instead be that Warde is pushing Jim out or just not supporting him, but the appearance is that Jim doesn't want to return.  Regardless of the reason, we are pissing away the momentum generated by another playoff appearance.  There is no program better at wasting opportunities than Michigan.

Meh, I will take the negs.  Maybe he is just really close to Poggi, and I honestly hope he finds success and stability at his next stop, but I can't help but think all of the noise from the Harbaugh stuff has to have at least some impact on lots of the players.

Between the Harbaugh wandering eye and the allegations about Warde dragging his feet, it has been a frustrating offseason already.

Defense is losing a lot of key talent and experience. The dline, which was a big strength has taken a lot of hits. We better really hope Jenkins comes back at this point.
