I agree, but there are plenty of guys that Moeller coached (he was Warde’s DC) that loved him and think that M didn’t have to fire him. But even if that were true, Juwan isn’t having the equivalent of a couple 4-loss seasons. He had two of those, then this year is basically like a 3-9 season. That probably would have gotten Moeller fired too.

A non-alum / non-Fab Fiver would've been gone a long time ago

That's the danger of hiring alumni player heroes to be head coach—if they're not successful, it's harder to fire them than it is to fire coaches with no previous association with the school.

In case he happens to read this board, just know Jon the majority of the fanbase would much rather keep you and see Juwan out the door than vice versa.

Do we honestly believe that anyone can win at BB with how Michigan is handling roster building?

Where is Ono in all this? Dude was front and center until project get Harbaugh out of here (but make it look like we tried) started.

Yes Michigan’s NIL is very lacking. So are our transfer / admissions issues. But that is no excuse for 8 wins, losing every single second half, roster mismanagement, blatantly obvious lack of effort or intensity by the entire team, lack of fundamentals, lack of defense, mind boggling lineups, obviously bad chemistry and overall complete coaching incompetence.  In fact, despite our admissions and NIL limitations, we had a far superior roster in terms of recruiting rankings to Rutgers. And we lost by 30!  Yes, these issues may prevent Michigan from being a consistent top 20 team. But they don’t explain dead last in the big ten and a second straight season of . . . Whatever the hell we are seeing on the court.

I can't wait for the Exit: Juwan post. The horrendous record alone is enough for the axe. Two instances of fighting/near fighting added on... what are we even doing?

What a friggin joke. Juwan should have been canned months ago. Apparently zero tolerance has no meaning to the AD.

in response to the most embarrassing season of Michigan basketball in decades, I am sure Warde will dick around and do nothing until he’s forced to just like with the Mel situation.

I stopped watching basketball for the first time since the Ammaker era. It was too depressing, and it started 2 years ago with the really bleh team that had Houstan and Diabate. I love what Howard did at Michigan as a player. This is now in the realm of abject failure. Worst team in the BIG, losing by 30 to Rutgers, fighting other coaches, his strength coach. It's completely insane at this point.

Remember when the players on the court played with passion and emotion? Remember when there was a bench mob? That has dissipated each year since Juwan got here to where everyone just sits on the bench all stoic. I’ve noticed it for the last several years, they look like they are on medicine out there. Diabate was slightly excitable and Hunter was a villain but other than that, everyone else just looks lethargic on the court and on the bench. The last time I remember any fun was the preseason tournament we won where Juwan was dancing. It’s been dead for atleast a few years and that has to be a culture thing.

Howard should be fired on performance alone before even considering all the anger management issues.  He took over an elite program and has driven it into the ground in short order..

Only a matter of time before more ppl come out either verifying or denying the story.

Seems like Howard didn't learn his lesson about anger management.

Jace is a grown ass man - let him fight his own battles...

I was a huge supporter of Howard, even after the Wisconsin incident, but its pretty clear to me that he is unable to manage a level of self control.

He said himself that 'he had lost the team'; nothing more corrosive than giving preferential treatment to your kids on a team...

Warde should have been gone long ago. Of course, he should still be gone. But I'm afraid he's done enough damage where it now doesn't matter when he's fired; assuming he will be.

The head coach lacks discipline, his kids lack discipline, it’s no surprise the entire team lacks discipline.  But Juwan certainly seems bullet proof at this point.

If you had told me in the winter 2019 everything that would happen with Michigan athletics to this point and asked me to sign off on it, I still would have without blinking and so would all of you, but that said.... fucking fire Howard AND Warde yesterday.
