Holy shit. This is why I’m so glad I never got on Twitter and deactivated my Facebook. So much flaming hot trash. I would be embarrassed if I was Erick and saw all of this. Someone commented this will make it really hard to root for him in Iowa. I agree.

Iowa is now on my shit list

Me too.

And lets not forget, Iowa isn't exactly a hallmark of team culture -- seems Ferentz and staff have had problems relating to people that don't look like them; which hasn't been in the news cycles lately.

Yesterday I think the consensus was hope to see Iowa in the CCG.

Not anymore.  I hope Iowa goes 0-12.

Cade gets a small pass.... after all, never has it happened where a QB takes a program over hump and beats OSU and wins Big Ten while essentially going undefeated ( msu loss was bs ) and still gets benched.  With that perspective hes gonna have some emotion there, and it was unfortunate.  Still was immature but he let emotion (which cannot be trusted, as the stoics said) get the best of him.   Cade's behavior isolated, isn't near the All family side.

As a Michigan fan, I'm perfectly content with how this worked out from an on-field perspective.

I sincerely hope the two new Hawkeyes will feel the same.

First of all, it's worth pointing out this foolishness is emanating from All's dad and his brother, not from Erick.  Second of all, you can understand the All family's struggle dealing with the beast that is social media and their suddenly becoming a topic of conversation, even if you can't really understand the juvenile nature of what they are posting.

That being said, the sad thing is at a best case scenario, Erick All has a decent NFL career?  Marginal?  Maybe he sticks for a few years as a backup TE?  I'm not sure what the scouts think.  But, his family is almost treating things like they have this insane meal ticket and it's just fine to pop off because they'll get taken care of.  It will be sad when they've done all this foolishness, gambled vs the UMHS, stoked up all this ill will and they're not really in line for any sort of generational wealth in the end, anyway.  I mean I hope E. All has a nice NFL career, but the odds are stacked against him and "his camp."

Seems like All's family are a bunch of assholes.  I'll cut his brother a bit of slack because he's a 19-year-old kid online and, I mean, *gestures at internet*.  But his Dad seems like an awful guy.

I do think people have been somewhat consistently negative toward him since he announced the transfer; there's been an anger directed at him with how he left and I can see how that would make family and friends defensive.  In a better world we'd all just treat this as a breakup and move along with our lives but that's not in the cards.  Hopefully the off-season will quiet it all down.

Anyway, I still wish him luck at Iowa and hopefully he can succeed in spite of whatever drama is currently flowing through his family.

EDIT:  I'd like to add that after looking into some of the tweets and their context...UM fans come across as being really assholes themselves and All's family's response, while a bit over the top and unnecessary, seems not totally unreasonable when a bunch of people are calling their son a traitor and a bum.

and just like that it becomes a LOT easier to believe that All & Co. have zero legitimate beef with M, rather they are really struggling with some pretty large character isues and doing so with the mental state of a 5 year old.

Once someone uses a pic of an autistic kid as  troll and then his "bro" follow it up with penis breath, well.......I think that says it all and I can comfortably convince myself that in All probability Erick wasn't mistreated by M.

Thank you for writing it in large 10 foot letters the whole world could see.

I liked Cade and All a lot at the start of the year, but the shots being fired on their way out are a bad look. Unfortunately it tarnishes two pretty solid Michigan careers.

Going to the worst offense in the country and hoping to make it a top 100 offense really gave these guys some confidence.

I still have major love for Cade and wish him well, but man All and his family is making it really hard to root for him. Iowa is suddenly an interesting team to watch next year.

Idk man. I’ve heard some chatter that the UM docs felt EA’s surgery was risky and  unsafe to the point of threatening his mobility or even his life. That said, I think these are people of high integrity that wouldn’t talk about a patient behind their back like that either, so I don’t know what I believe.

Either way, nobody wants their star players, especially a CAPTAIN, back on the field more than the UM med staff. You can disagree with their opinion and get another one, but at the end of the day some things are bigger than sports. I know it’s your career on the line but dude’s a new dad and everything; maybe it’s not worth the risk. If you feel differently, you have every right to go somewhere else and prove them wrong. Just don’t be a dick and pray you don’t prove them right.

While I wish both Cade and Erick well, I have never been a huge fan of All's. Grateful for what he did vs Penn State, and 1-2 really good catches, but I can remember a lot of dropped passes too.

Colston has as many TD's in his freshman year (and both in key games) as All from 2019-2021. And there could be an additional 2 games remaining.
