CFP ranking show. Mich still not ranked.

While we had a close loss to Michigan State and a blowout loss to Penn state. I don't see the difference in resumes with how high Ohio State is ranked and we're not in comparison of losses. Fuel for the fire I guess.

How in the world are we not ranked when there are multiple 3-loss teams ranked?!?!? Those 3-loss teams have losses to unranked opponents, including an FCS team. Meanwhile, we have two losses to top-15 opponents. It's downright ludicrous. This is infuriating!!!

Do a blind resume test with the teams Michigan has beaten, and the teams they have lost to, and tell me why you think they deserve to be ranked?  Michigan has lost to every good team they've played and beaten a bunch of sub .500 teams.

The teams above them have all beaten at least SOMEONE with a pulse.

The CFP rankings are based heavily on who you've beaten.  Michigan's best win is still 4-5 Purdue.  Beat Wisconsin and they'll be ranked. Until then...get used to them being unranked.

To bad we lost to state because I would really love to see where we would be ranked with the one bad loss to psu. I bet we would really have something to be pissed about.

Michigan has to win ther next three and I feel they get a huge bump. This should happen because if we do win the next three it is like Michigan is playing with a different team. This is because we have two losses playing with almost nothing at the QB position.

If Peters does not shine and we lose a game this is irrelevant, but if Michigan pulls off the three wins and Peters looks decent, I truly feel Michigan bumps easily into the top ten.

Everyone who knows football realizes if Michigan had a passing attack they could be the best team in the country. I don't see anyone stopping our rushing attack this year or next. I look for Higdon to be on the Heisman list next year. Shit put the whole backfield on there because if we can pass a little , we will run wild all year.

The play action pass was there all day against Minnesota. It probably won't get utilized much this week but Wisconsin and osu better keep there safetys back. Just saying.

If msu does not lose big this weekend, osu is really just not that good. We will get state next year, but I think osu is there for the taking. I don't see anyone stopping our rushing attack. If Peters can throw for around 150 a game and has no turnovers we will win out. That is not asking all that of your QB. Let's go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

it's actually pretty insane that we have six teams ranked considering the conference has done almost nothing in the non-conference.

OSU and MSU were torched by top ten teams at home, and yet are sitting atop the East.  Does that say much about the east?

Northwestern is ranked 25th despite losing by 24 to Duke who is 1-5 in the meh ACC Coastal division.  Yet they beat MSU and Iowa and are ranked?

Michigan and PSU didn't beat anyone in the non-conference.

Iowa beat ISU.  I think that's the best non-conference win the Big Ten has.  Woof.

I don't think the conference is eating it's own because there are a lot of good teams, I think it's because there are a lot of flawed teams.

I would especially hate gauranteeing P5 champs get in.  Non conference games would be rendered meaningless.  Teams could clinch their divisions and rest guys at the end of regular season because games wouldn't matter.

Take this season for instance.  If OSU beats MSU and clinches the East before The Game, we wouldn't be able to play spoiler. They still have playoff hopes, and this example would work even better if they had beaten Iowa such that The Game would still have almost certain national title implications.

College football is great because it has the best regular season in sports.  Every game matters.  You can't take a game off when you constantly have to prove you deserve to be in the top four based on your full body of work.

Do not want a larger field and absolutely do not want anything automatic for conference champs.

That’s why I Like 6 teams. Gives each power 5 a shot at a spot, but not a guaranteed one. It also forces the top two to keep playing hard to keep a bye. With eight, it makes conference championship games kinda meaningless. Like this year. If there were eight, the Bama-Georgia SEC champ game is meaningless because both would get in regardless. Four or six at least introduces some doubt and drama.

All I really care about is winning the big ten. The national championship this year will probably be played by the two programs that in my opinion have the most questionable recruiting in all of college football and everyone knows it. Without offering players incentives are Alabama and Georgia even close to what they are. I doubt it. We all know Clemson offered Gary ten grand. Who won the NC last year?. To me it has become a big fuckin joke.

There allready paying players. Go on Alabama's campus next year and see what Ekiyor is driving. The sec is a big fuckin joke and until the playing field is leveled the NC is a sham and means nothing to me. Brag all you want bama but you cheated your way to every win and everyone knows it. Same goes for Clemson and soon to be georgia ie. Wilson last year.

If it is just accepted than Michigan needs to get on board and will see who the highest bidder is. You give them a car, we give them a house and so on.

We are soon going to lose another recruit who is being swoon by the other half of the bagmen professionals. Maybe Reese is more like Gary and Solomon than say Wilson and Hand and Ekiyor. This is why someone like Sims and the Hintons are some of my favorite recruits.

The thing is there is no way in hell I am rooting for Notre Dame so who is next. Do we evr have A NC who does not have slimy recruiting tactics. The big ten is not exempt. IMO Tressel was one of the worst and they got dinged for minor stuff because they knew they were foul. Make no mistake the ncaa knows who the major players are and if they don't everyone else does. USC used to be but IMO the top three violaters are Alabama, Georgia because smart learned while at bama and Clemson is a cess pool also. Just ask Gary.

There's a 2-loss team in the top 10, a 3-loss team in the top 25. This doesn't feel right, hope the team uses as added motivation. Although, not sure any of this matters outside the top 6.

Makes sense that we aren't ranked. We don't have a single win against a winning squad. Not one. That may change by the end of the season, but as things are, we haven't proven ourselves against any notable opponent.

NC State is 6-3 with a loss to South Carolina. They have beaten: Florida State, Louisville, Syracuse, Marshall, Furman, and Pitt. Marshall is a G5 6-3 team. Louisville is 5-4 but dead last in the division. But, yeah, that’s a better resume. And NW got blasted by a crappy Duke team. Whatever, fuck the committee.

I think the committee is putting way too much weight on quality wins without looking at the bad losses. OSU, MSU, LSU, and NW were all shit on this year, yet their rank has barely been affected. This committee is garbage, the CFP is turning into a terrible idea. Not because of the playoff format, but because of the committee. There was something smart with the conventional wisdom of the AP, no one voice became too powerful and the rankings were predictable. The CFP committee is an exercise in arrogance.

It makes sense that quality wins are more important than overall record at this point.  With 3 games and a conference championship left overall record will sort itself out, but right now teams with quality wins are on track to build more impressive resumes than teams without quality wins right now.
