Didn’t she admit to leaking…

Didn’t she admit to leaking it, and providing 1,200 pages to the author, in the original USA Today article? She said she wanted to get ahead of someone else leaking the story I thought.

Lol if you think you’re…

Lol if you think you’re gonna get objective analysis at The Only Colors. It’s a whole lot of writing just to say “Dantonio did a great job from 2007-2015, and Rich Rod/Hoke sucked.” The last five years are basically ignored.

I’ve read the 4-game rule…

I’ve read the 4-game rule isn’t retroactive too, but wasn’t Patterson injured that year? Couldn’t he could apply for a 5th year for medical reasons? I’m pretty sure players have done that before, retroactively medically redshirted.

Michigan State and the Lions…

Michigan State and the Lions too. Michigan  State fans don’t take criticism very well. It’ll be interesting to see how his State commentary goes lol.

She said she got an email…

She said she got an email that (presumably) Dantonio or Izzo knew about a rape and lied about knowing. That’s not “covering up” a rape, although that could’ve happened. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

Email could be fake. Email could have ambiguous language that allows the coach to weasel out of it. Who knows.

It’s the BTN network we’re…

It’s the BTN network we’re talking about here.

Have you ever seen any of their Big Ten football week-of, pregame primer videos? It doesn’t matter if it’s Rutgers, Minnesota, or Ohio State. Our opponent has three positives discussed. When it comes to us? Three doubts or negatives.

Have you seen episodes of their fall camp roadshow series? They go to Northwestern or Michigan State, and it’s all “how great did fitzgeralds’s team look out there today, guys? Great, great, excellent. He’s a heckuva coach.” They go to michigan, and it’s, “well, guys, what did ya see out there today? Well, I think Jim’s got a lot of work to do. We’ll see in a couple months if Jim can get over the hump this year. The last few years haven’t been spectacular.”

Have you seen their big ten football hype video? Most other teams get great highlights. Take a guess what they show for us. Spoiler: it’s the trouble with the snap clip.

Have you seen their big ten football studio commentary? Dinardo and those clowns? It is clearly anti-Michigan. They do little to hide it.

So yeah, I couldn’t give a fuck what BTN thinks.

Thanks for taking the time…

Thanks for taking the time to let everyone know how you feel.

Really changes how everyone else feels. Great use of space here.

Before going into executive…

Before going into executive session, Gasser said the purpose was to discuss “employment, compensation, and discipline” of personnel.

Isnt it odd that “compensation” was mentioned?

To me, the worst thing isn't…

To me, the worst thing isn't the lie, it's the fact that he kept Smith on his staff despite two serious domestic violence episodes. To know that and keep him is ridiculous.

Obviously, Meyer (and likely Ohio State) thought it would stay hush hush.

HTTV is also in stock in Ann Arbor! Bought my copy last week.

I don't know. I've got a…

I don't know. I've got a hard time believing Patterson's quotes aren't out of context. Amongst others, there's this:

"He's still the savior.

'I've been it all my football life; it's part of playing the position,' [Patterson] continues. 'But I get it. This is different. There's more at stake now."

For one, Patterson never directly calls himself a savior. The author implies it. And two, do you really think Patterson called himself (or fed into the implication that he is) a savior? He comes off pretty humble and reserved in other interviews, and I really believe he is a team player. I've got a hard time believing he said that. That'd be a pretty fucking arrogant thing to say.

Even the title of the article makes Patterson seem douchey: "QB Shea Patterson Ready to Be Michigan's Savior After Escaping Ole Miss Wreckage."

I'm leaning that it's poor journalism, click bait.

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much!

Well, the interior 4-star…

Well, the interior 4-star linemen have proven themselves more or less. Who's worrisome is JBB. He hasn't performed up to expectations. But Harbaugh did say that he is going above and beyond, with knowledge that this is his last year of football potentially.

I'm willing to give JBB the benefit of the doubt. Currently, at worst, we've got 4/5 great starting offensive linemen. By all accounts, Runyan played like a stud this spring. Let's hope Runyan can keep it up and JBB is solid.

Lol my favorite line of…

Lol my favorite line of reasoning for this year is "But Harbaugh went 8-5 last year. Why should we expect better?"

Forget that at one point Michigan was without its leading receiver (Black), leading running back (Issac), and its first- and second-string quarterback (Speight and O'Korn). Not to mention, 13 games' worth of experience for the youthful aspect of the roster.

Has anyone been to a soccer…

Has anyone been to a soccer event at the Big House? Was it worth going to? Mild soccer fan here (watched a few games during the World Cup but not a diehard by any means). Seems like it would be a sweet pre-season Big House event. Looking for thoughts??

I think it’ll be there…

I think it’ll be there. Night game. Two storied programs. Historic rivalry. Renewed rivalry. Both teams with preseason hype.

To borrow a line from little brother, preseason rankings are garbage! We’re awesome!

Didn’t Pep come out and say…

Didn’t Pep come out and say that they misjudged Peters because he was quiet though?

Yes, he should have. It was…

Yes, he should have. It was clear that Speight was not the guy this past season. He played poorly in every game. O’Korn looked good against Purdue, but other than that, he did not play well. It’s concerning that Peters shit the bed in the bowl game. But if you look at the performances of last year’s quarterbacks in the regular season, Peters was the best—and it’s not even close. Had he started the season, I think things would’ve gone better. At the very least, Peters would have more experience going into this year and he couldn’t have been worse than Speight or O’Korn.

I thought the State game was…

I thought the State game was likely to be a 4 o’clock game given the things airing on Fox that day.

No, but I agree that it wasn…

No, but I agree that it wasn’t an upgrade for users. The modernized MGoBlog logo looks nice. The user interface sucks. I’d take the old version back in an instant.

Yep.

Yep.

He’ll probably leave after…

He’ll probably leave after next season. He had enough opportunity last season to show why he was the number one high school player, and he came up short—in garbage time against FCS opponents. The Deep South is also vastly different from California. Not to mention, Alabama gets high four- and five-star players regularly, so there’s no special treatment (not that Najee needs it, but it’s gotta be tough going from Mr. #1 to Mr. Pine Rider with zero fucks given by the staff).

IWatching Patterson's Auburn tape from the Hello post

makes me doubt that he can take the job from Peters. He has serious accuracy issues, plus M's style of play calling is much more demanding. The QB must make reads, adjust plays, notify the team, and execute. With almost two years in the system, Peters clearly has a leg up in that department.

This is effing egregious How in the world are we not ranked when there are multiple 3-loss teams ranked?!?!? Those 3-loss teams have losses to unranked opponents, including an FCS team. Meanwhile, we have two losses to top-15 opponents. It's downright ludicrous. This is infuriating!!!
Luiji Vilain I get it that he won't be a starter, but what is the status of him? He wasn't in Texas last week, and as far as I know he wasn't dressed today.
