Bring Out Your Dead!
This is your chance for amnesty, where you post your shittiest take and own up to it. This goes tenfold for all of you absolutist JJ haters. I’ve been a JJ fan since day one but last week against Illinois my levy broke and I shared this:
”Cade wins us this game by two touchdowns”
Yep. Dumb.
Turn ‘em over boys and girls. Let’s see what you’re holdin’
November 26th, 2022 at 11:11 PM ^
In the first half after Mullings got stuffed on 3rd and 1, I texted my buddies this:
‘Never hand it off to a linebacker on 3rd and one’
But on the next 3rd and 1, we did exactly this… and the subsequent Mullings jump pass changed my life!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:12 AM ^
The Titans used that RB pop pass by Derrick Henry to score a touchdown a few weeks ago and I remember thinking “Michigan should give that a try.” It wasn’t for a touchdown but damn that was awesome to see.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:38 AM ^
It could have been a TD if Mullings knew how to throw. It's too bad all passers regress under Harbaugh.
(Warning: /s, hawt take)

+1000.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:16 PM ^
I simply doubted JJ and the receivers could win this game. I didn’t see much leading up to this game that led me to believe it could happen. Seemed like when JJ was on target there were drops. And JJ was off target a fair amount leading up to this game. So I’ll happily eat crow. JJ came of age today. He’s now a bona fide star.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:17 PM ^
I think the worst thing I have said was back when there was a post about a WR getting a crystal ball or whatever after the Illinois game I said (and I paraphrase)
”can they catch the ball when it hits them square in the hands?”
apparently, some of the guys on the current squad can, and can run afterwards too.
my bad you guys (not to you, it’s an apology to the kids on the team for doubting them)
November 26th, 2022 at 11:17 PM ^
I thought Mullings at RB was dumb. Then he made a big throw. I always believed JJ was close though.
I was all aboard the Fire Harbaugh train in 2020 though. I have also always thought Ryan Day was riding coattails. So maybe those cancel out? Who cares!?! GO BLUE!
November 26th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
Harbaugh never spoke truer words than his "born on third base" line. Day is definitely on the hot-seat. Day is a lousy HC.
#GoBlue
November 26th, 2022 at 11:56 PM ^
Grey, respectfully, Day is just looking for the right time to hang a hundred on Michigan.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:55 AM ^
Maybe cumulatively by 2024. He didn’t say all in 1 game
November 26th, 2022 at 11:18 PM ^
I did not think we could win this game with our passing game. The team shocked the world. I’m proud of them. Still of course hoping Corum can get back for the stretch run but the offense really showed they can be multidimensional.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:18 PM ^
I feel like this should be a negbang
November 26th, 2022 at 11:19 PM ^
I thought the season was over when we gave up that 2nd TD to Illinois, after Corum was hurt. That was the lowest point in the year for me and I thought this game was going to get ugly.
I was pleasantly surprised that the first half was so competitive, and absolutely blown away by the second. I knew we were a 2nd half team but GODDAMN.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:02 AM ^
It was about mid 3rd when the OSU Defense started to look confused. Loveland had gotten loose then JJ started running to the edges. Offensively it started to really open up and Knowles had zero response. the word I used as it was happening was bewildered
The 2nd halves show how great the adjustments our coaches made really have been.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
After the first OSU drive, I told my wife, "This is going to be a close game. OSU is good. We should wear them down in the 4th but they might have enough points to pull it out"
I took Michigan and the points so that off-sets my ignorance.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
I didn't say it but desperately hoped they had been holding back parts of the passing game. That or OSU's secondary sucks. 50/50
November 26th, 2022 at 11:59 PM ^
Romeo, respectfully, I love the Bucks D. Knowles and his 4-2-5 scheme, designed to defend a Big 12 offense is perfect. Please, please - don’t change a thing.
Give Day and Knowles huge raises.. please.. please.. please..
November 27th, 2022 at 7:13 AM ^
$95 million each at $9.5 million per year, guaranteed for ten years, please.
Day comin'!
10 years of darkness.
November 27th, 2022 at 9:25 AM ^
I am so sorry. What was I thinking. Yes, big fan as well.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
I said this passing game is broken. Not saying 1 game fixed everything, but that was far better than I expected
November 26th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
"no blake, no victory" was uttered and thought all week as well as thoughts on half blake or quarter blake. happily ate that today.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:21 PM ^
When Corum went out hurt after his second run I said “if that’s it for him there’s zero chance we win this game”
November 26th, 2022 at 11:22 PM ^
There can be only one.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:33 PM ^
Holy shit.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:40 PM ^
I missed that one. Wow. Glad you are back with your support for Harbaugh and with excellent commentaries.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:08 AM ^
149 up votes for that post too. Boy, things looked dark two years ago. I certainly did not think we would be 24-2 two years later.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:09 AM ^
The only person who got it right in that thread was Preacher Mike.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:14 AM ^
I respect your integrity SJK. That’s as solid a mea culpa as I’ve seen here.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:27 PM ^
There's we're ZERO indications that our WRs and JJ could win a game like this. I'll be the first to admit I doubted them the entire way. Glad to be wrong and eat shit on this fine day.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:28 PM ^
I have been such a homer for a long time. The only time I lost hope was in 2019. 2020 I couldn't deal with football games. At the start of 2021, I was back on being a homer. I might say a stupid thing here and there in game threads, but I am always homer and can be less objective because of it. I get very nervous during games and look for the positive. I know that is not what you are looking for, but after 2019, I told myself never to be that negative about a Football team that I simply love.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:32 PM ^
The only moment I have wavered this year was early in the first quarter today, and that was just me grumbling to myself.
Go Blue. Win all the games.
November 27th, 2022 at 8:15 AM ^
me too...i’m as optimistic and positive as anyone i know, but when corum limped off i figured we’d need some breaks…then, when edwards was obviously playing super-one-handed i figured we were done.
reading some of the comments here, i think it’s a good reminder that - and i said it at the time - people were nuts to draw ANY conclusions from the covid season. did harbaugh, quote, “lose the locker room?” maybe. probably. but there was SO much uncertainty, so much variance. plus, team chemistry can be weird. nobody stood up and said, “this is my team” until cade did it. against rutgers! that flipped everything.
but i digress. i love harbaugh, always have. win all the games.
November 27th, 2022 at 10:20 AM ^
I agree with all except for possibly losing the locker room in '20, I think we just had some guys who were super selfish that year, but who knows.
Go Blue. This past couple seasons have been really special, and I think we're still getting better. Sky is the limit.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:47 PM ^
I take back everything I've said about Cornelius Johnson this year. Dude balled out last year against OSU, and balled out even harder this year. CoJo ftw.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:49 PM ^
I was less than impressed with JJ in the first half
November 27th, 2022 at 1:37 AM ^
I thought JJ played a very good game. Not a great game with his arm but very good overall. HUGE runs for 1st down and TD. The 3 TDs were either a WIDE open receiver or great play by CJ. But JJ made the plays so he gets credit too. And how about DE. Wow. 5 plays over 45 yards for TDs. Who would have believed that would happen!?!?
November 26th, 2022 at 11:51 PM ^
I didn’t think Michigan was going to be able to find a way to win while having to deviate so drastically from the game plan they’ve used all year. Especially after the shaky passing performances the past few weeks. Then in the second half, I’m sure in part because of those long passes, suddenly the ground game roared back to life. And the product of both of those was what we thought this team could reach, offensively.
November 26th, 2022 at 11:55 PM ^
Honestly, I don't care what anybody says. This is an emotional game for all involved and we are all here week after week regardless of the previous week.
I don't think I have dragged JJ through the mud, but I have definitely been frustrated by the offense at times. And I expected a close loss this morning before kickoff, but I am glad I was wrong.
That's what I feel is running through the heads of JJ detractors. Expectations are high and there is for sure frustration when that performance doesn't meet expectations.
However on a day like today we are all glad that he played his ass off and proved his worth in the highest of stakes.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:06 AM ^
Turns out Harbaugh does save things for OSU, and he broke tendency big time mid game!!! In the largest game of the year and finally seems to have found the guy at QB immune to the regression we’ve seen prior.
Harbaugh got his quirks but he’s done the unthinkable in changing the program identity after already being here for 5 years. Incredible. I don’t think any coach has ever done that at a major program.
Mea culpa.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:08 AM ^
Let me check, I supported Cade - 100%. I support JJ - 100%. I support every player and coach - 100%. I wish them all well.. all the time. Go Blue!
November 27th, 2022 at 12:14 AM ^
Couldnt find it on my activity tracker, but I recall writing a game thread comment something to the effect, "can't wait until we get a former Moeller-era player as a coach to open up the offense". I would love to have the expectation of open passing attack in each game, but I love Coach Harbaugh and Staff. Go Blue
November 27th, 2022 at 12:14 AM ^
I thought that OSU would win this game by about four if Michigan were entirely healthy. I thought that OSU would win by 20 if Corum were less than 75%.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:16 AM ^
NGL thought this was a post to waive my dead head flag
November 27th, 2022 at 12:25 AM ^
I was really rough on JJ last week, I'm not going to find the specific post, but I was basically saying he improves or we need to move on next season.
I changed my mind before kickoff though, and realized I was overreacting to one bad outing.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:27 AM ^
Alright, now that I've shared my bad take, the "fire Jim Harbaugh to get the legendary Matt Campbell" crowd can step forward.
November 27th, 2022 at 12:52 AM ^
Michigan's first 3 points and I texted people," No shutout!"
3 points huh, osu only scored 3 points in the 2nd half.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:13 AM ^
During the first half when we were running stokes, I said that we did not have a path to winning this game without Corum and with Edwards having a broken hand.
I was apparently not correct.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:30 AM ^
My take early in the season when Roman Wilson was lighting up the non-conference schedule was basically he is a death star and the future is bright. He pretty much disappeared for 9 games. But there IS the post-season now for him to regain that early season form. So there is a chance that my take can become not shitty and I shall remain undefeated.
November 27th, 2022 at 1:34 AM ^
"Cornelius Johnson has probably been the biggest let-down of the season. I expected him to step up as a veteran."
