Brad Hawkins back for a 6th season

Nice, watching this just reminds me of how today's dances are borrowed from or variations of the past dances.
I was always good at doing the Cabbage Patch, if that dance makes a comeback, I can finally go clubbing again!
January 11th, 2021 at 6:49 PM ^
NICE!!!
January 11th, 2021 at 6:52 PM ^
Nice! Glad to have to him back for a Robbie Hummel year.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:13 PM ^
Please no. I’m pretty sure Hummel tore his ACL for a 3rd time during his 6th year then came back for a 7th...
January 11th, 2021 at 9:02 PM ^
hummell tore an acl while announcing a game last week.
January 11th, 2021 at 6:54 PM ^
Jason White approves!

January 11th, 2021 at 8:10 PM ^
Well good thing it’s only his 5th year
January 11th, 2021 at 9:57 PM ^
He took a prep year too I think so he’s 6+ years removed from high school dudes gotta be like 25-26
January 11th, 2021 at 10:12 PM ^
Born July 26th 1988. He’s only 22
January 12th, 2021 at 1:51 AM ^
1998!
January 11th, 2021 at 10:12 PM ^
He’s 22
January 11th, 2021 at 6:56 PM ^
Maybe he can be a player-coach. Just kidding, sorta
January 11th, 2021 at 6:57 PM ^
Makes sense for all parties involved. Our secondary can certainly use a stabilizing presence, and Hawkins can hopefully advertise his skills better for the next level. Maybe also get a double major?!
January 11th, 2021 at 7:56 PM ^
Forget the double major, he should have a Master Degree when he leaves!
January 11th, 2021 at 6:57 PM ^
Great news! His leadership, experience, and solid play will be very important in the secondary next year.
January 11th, 2021 at 10:09 PM ^
Seems like a good kid and can hopefully help glue our defense back together.
January 11th, 2021 at 6:58 PM ^
Good for him and us, can't hurt to have experienced guys starting or providing depth
January 11th, 2021 at 7:06 PM ^
Welcome back, Brad! Get that education. It's what will set you apart in the decades to come.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:08 PM ^
Good on ya, Brad. Hope he stays healthy for his last go-round.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
Hawkins is 100% the kind of kid I want in the program and should be a captain next year. Overcame everything, worked his butt off in class, in practice and on the field.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:17 PM ^
January 12th, 2021 at 12:56 PM ^
Definitely deserves to be Captain next year. After everything he did just to get into the University and the character he displayed while being here is worthy. He's got my vote.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
Good. We need the dudes.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:13 PM ^
Good, we could use him. Although I am looking forward to someday seeing Quinten Johnson. I hope he doesn't turn into another fantastic athlete that never sees the field.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Good news and welcome back Brad!!
Always good to have a seasoned upperclassman in the secondary.
Go Blue ???
January 11th, 2021 at 8:04 PM ^
Just a guy
January 12th, 2021 at 6:14 AM ^
More like PekingBlueDick...Amirite?
January 12th, 2021 at 10:11 AM ^
No disrespect to Dax, but he was just about the only bright spot in the secondary. He had 7 tackles (6 solo) in the Minnesota game, 8 tackles against MSU, 12 against Indiana, 8 against Rutgers and then left PSU game with an injury.
We need this dude.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:24 PM ^
Those who stay... will be allowed to this year
January 11th, 2021 at 7:43 PM ^
This who stay... will get graduate degrees
January 11th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
It'll be his 5th year:

January 11th, 2021 at 9:45 PM ^
For sure. But he is definitely taking advantage of the new rule. He has already appeared in 42 games and in normal circumstances used up his eligibility. Will be 23 to start the season.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:35 PM ^
I feel pretty good about having him and Hill back in the deep secondary and also for run support. If we can any decent improvement from the CBs, at least it won't be Rocky Lombardi for Heisman.
Obviously, the DL and transfer portal need to be used and big time.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:36 PM ^
Thats great... who's his coach? This doesn't really move the needle for me if Shoop is still sitting at home.
Edit: This sounds harsher than I intended. Good on him, welcome back man. But they need a coach... on the field... with them.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:40 PM ^
This could be help much more than many realize with a new DC coming in.
January 11th, 2021 at 7:54 PM ^
This is actually great news. To have him and Dax as the starting safeties is a good start. Mcdonald still may have to hit the transfer portal for DT and CB though.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:03 PM ^
Good to add depth. Player average though quite frankly.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:53 PM ^
Hmmmm. New account today, two shit-posts about a returning player in this thread, and already in negative point territory. I smell a troll.
January 11th, 2021 at 9:31 PM ^
Honesty doesn’t equal troll
January 11th, 2021 at 9:41 PM ^
Its ok to say it once in a thread. More than that, like this poster did, is just shitting on a player. Also doesn't show much class. This is a thread about a returning player that had to bust his ass just to be on the team and is dedicated to help it succeed.
January 11th, 2021 at 9:45 PM ^
He's writing in a broken Asian accent, note username. Obvious troll is obvious.
January 11th, 2021 at 9:49 PM ^
Yep. Pretty sure he's gonna be $5 poorer pretty soon.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:10 PM ^
He can come back but it’s not guaranteed he starts.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:23 PM ^
That's great. Hope Brad has a breakout season. Have a feeling he just might.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:27 PM ^
Dax for sure coming back?
January 11th, 2021 at 9:13 PM ^
Unless he transfers he has to come back. He is a true sophomore.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:31 PM ^
Nice.
January 11th, 2021 at 8:33 PM ^
Good news. Thanks, Mr. Squirrels.
