Drake Johnson ran for 100 yards 1 time in his Michigan career - the November 1, 2014 victory over Indiana in Ann Arbor, which doubled as Homecoming, where he tallied 122 yards and 2 touchdowns on 16 carries.
Bummer to hear about Gabe Newburg, hope everything is OK.
We'll see how Eamonn Dennis' switch to WR works out, but there's a lot of talent in that position room - Ronnie Bell, Cornelius Johnson, Roman Wilson, Andrel Anthony, Darrius Clemons, Cristian Dixon, AJ Henning, Tyler Morris…
I don't completely agree with Rich Eisen on this one.
Iowa-Minnesota, Purdue-Indiana, Wisconsin-Minnesota, Michigan State-Ohio State, Iowa-Nebraska and even Illinois-Northwestern are all good rivalries to me.
Also, the graphic in that tweet reminded me how good that Alabama-Florida game was. Crazy how Dan Mullen's tenure in Gainesville fell apart so quickly.
According to the data on CFB Reference, which appears to date to 1976, Hagerup is 5th in Michigan history with 6,200 yards on 147 punts, good for an average of 42.2 yards.
Zoltan Mesko (2006-09) is the leader with 10,703 yards on 252 punts (42.5 avg), followed by Don Bracken (1980-83) with 8,273 yards on 203 punts (40.8 avg).
I think he has a shot to do well in professional baseball.
He has a nice left-handed swing and is a smooth outfielder. Kind of reminds me of Riley Greene, except Greene is a CF and Elliott played RF for the Wolverines.
Back when he was on ESPN, I remember Will Cain highlighting a study that showed the then-Washington Redskins were the most popular NFL team on American Indian reservations.
If 2022 is Cade McNamara's last season with the Wolverines, that opens the door for J.J. McCarthy to start in 2023 and someone else - like Jadyn Davis, for example - in 2024.
I think CB Kyler Gordon (Washington) and S Jaquan Brisker (Penn State) both have the potential to start as rookies.
WR Velus Jones (Tennessee) in the 3rd round is an interesting pick. Not sure how much he'll contribute to the offense, but he could be electric on kick and/or punt returns.
Outside of that, they drafted 4 offensive linemen - T Braxton Jones (Southern Utah), G Zachary Thomas (San Diego State), C Doug Kramer (Illinois), and T Ja'Tyre Carter (Southern). I'm optimistic about Kramer, but don't really know anything about the other three.
They also made a couple of interesting undrafted free agent signings in LB Jack Sanborn (Wisconsin) and RB Master Teague (Ohio State).
It's Josh McCown - Luke McCown's older brother - and this seems intentionally misleading.
You're making it sound like he's some random high school coach when in reality, he played quarterback in the NFL for 19 years and as recently as 2020.
His last few years in the league, he was signed by teams not so much for his on-field abilities anymore but because of his ability to help mentor young quarterbacks, essentially acting like another coach.
Josh McCown has long been a well-respected mind around the league, not just some random high school coach.
If that is indeed the case, I hope Meyer pursues legal action against Williamson.
That's a fucked up allegation to make.
I do find it interesting no other former players or staff members have corroborated what Williamson is saying. With most of them being black, you think they would be eager to confirm this.

I think he should start in place of Williams, too.
I wasn't confident in Notre Dame to begin with, they're one of my least favorite programs in the sport.
I don't mind it, think it looks pretty good.
If he is willing to leave Stillwater, I think Gundy would be a terrific hire for Nebraska.

- In the road loss to the Buckeyes on Nov. 23, he caught 8 passes for 101 yards.

Cool article, lots of nice information in there.

Even West Virginia in the B1G could be a good fit.
I was just thinking those would be 4 new states for the conference.
Also, I don't know if Baylor and/or TCU would have been issues for the Pac-12 given their religious affiliations.
I believe the Pac-12 had been hesitant in the past to ever invite BYU because of their strict Honor Code.
My best guess would be the Pac-12 was interested in adding Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech to expand to 16 schools.
Man, Caden Kolesar is ripped.
Hope he continues to make plays on special teams this fall. Maybe we'll see him a little bit on defense, too.
Dan Plesac is great, one of MLB Network's best analysts.
The last sentence is the funniest part lol.
Interesting hire, we'll see how it works out.
The Lions seem to be receiving a lot of summer hype from the media, but I still see them as a 4-13 or 5-12 team.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you met someone else!
That's pretty cool about the 73-yard punt, too!
According to the data on CFB Reference, which appears to date to 1976, Hagerup is 5th in Michigan history with 6,200 yards on 147 punts, good for an average of 42.2 yards.

This is a pretty cool fact.
I agree, that's the reality of the business right now.
I think he has a shot to do well in professional baseball.

As of the 2021 season, Feely was a color commentator for the NFL on CBS, working with Spero Dedes.
Interestingly, the Redskins have another (one-time) Wolverine cornerback on their roster, Benjamin St-Juste.
If true, could work out very well for Michigan.

Time will tell…
Given the recruiting hotbed that is Southern California, USC and UCLA will always have access to blue-chip talent.
I hope not, that seems like it would be excessive.
Rest in Peace, one of the best coaches in Michigan football history.
Of course, his tenure will always have that "What could have been?" element attached to it.
I liked Siragusa on NFL on FOX broadcasts, too.
Not sure why FOX parted ways with him following the 2015 season.
I'm OK with only playing Rutgers on the road, I like watching games at the RAC on TV.
As long as we still play Ohio State and Michigan State every year, I'm OK with rotating through the 7 other conference games.
I'd also consider going to 8 conference games and playing a 4th non-conference game.
Skubal is on pace to be an All-Star this year.
Beau Brieske has been impressive, too.
I'll go with 4-13.
I'd give the Bears' draft a B.
I think CB Kyler Gordon (Washington) and S Jaquan Brisker (Penn State) both have the potential to start as rookies.

Agreed!
Grand Blanc had an impressive win over Detroit Catholic Central last night, I think they'll beat Belleville on Friday, too.
Bummer to see South Carolina part ways with Frank Martin, I've always liked him.
Mahomes, Rodgers,…
Top 3?
Mahomes, Rodgers, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Stafford…
Which of those players are you putting Wilson above?
