Blake Corum says look out for Benjamin Hall

I was watching the Tiger game today and they interviewed Blake, who threw out the first pitch (excellently BTW). The last question to him was "who should we be looking out for on the M team next year?" His answer, "Benjamin Hall. He kinda reminds me of myself in how he works and how he wants to be great."

I'm really looking forward to seeing Mr. Hall in the spring game.  He looked darned good last year.  If he can be anything like Hassan Haskins or Blake, Michigan's running game is going to be in great shape for the next few years.

What is incredible about Corum's legacy - beyond the TDs, the huge plays, the 4th down catch out of the backfield against Bama, and leading the team to a National Chamionship - is the work ethic he lived and passed onto the underclassmen below him.  Hopefully, Hall and others impacted by Blake are the new leaders in the weight room, practice field and games to keep the culture so damn special.

That know-it-all recruiting analyst over on, I think 247, was really down on Hall and Jadyn Davis. He couldn't stop complaining about Hall's commitment (and by extension Mike Hart's recruiting).

Hope they both go on to prove him and all their detractors wrong big time..

I heard/read that Davis’ dad or someone called out EJ Holland for a prediction or something. I think he was just trying to let his son have his moment whenever he announced his commitment. Holland took it personally and has ripped on Davis ever since. Davis put up the same numbers his junior and senior years, yet Holland switched from praise to criticism. I might have some of that wrong, but I’m guessing it’s the same guy. Davis dropped a lot in the rankings, but most of it was during the off season. I’ll take a QB that gets it done on the field, versus the guy who gets all of his accolades in shorts and struggles in real games.
