Per his Instagram. Final two of USC and Bama. Oh well.

And??? Wasn’t he on an unofficial, so everything was out of his pocket? Not like the sideline pass he “used the coaches to score” had some amazing financial value to UM, maybe they missed out on the income from him buying a ticket? Woohoo…

It’s ok, he isn’t going to choose UM, I’m pretty sure we’ll be fine.

I'm close to someone that's close that situation and I'll leave that there. This recruitment was over for UM a while ago.

I mentioned this happening before The Game. The visit was a formality as his dad wanted to see The Game. I wrote what I heard and it was that "the outcome of The Game will have zero impact". Dad loves Michigan, son doesn't. Thought he did, visited and realized he doesn't. The Game visit was a formality.

Now, he meant that as in he was going to Bama. Now with Riley at USC, I'd guess it's a 50/50 thing with USC probably having the edge. It's the hot name and move right now and he seems really drawn to that sort of thing.

Not a knock as he's a good kid and his parents are good people. Dad truly loves Michigan, never got the sense Domani did and despite word of being a silent back last year I think that 2020 Wisconsin trip here really, really soured him to Michigan. Never felt like they recovered from that, even after Washington. Sadly, this isn't a surprise but good luck to the young man.

That I can only speculate on. My guess based on what I do know for sure seems logical to me and it's as simple as wanting to make your father happy and the reality of something being nothing like you expect.

Imagine if you grew up loving LSU because your dad was from New Orleans. You become a recruit and visit. Your imagination runs wild with how awesome it will be. You leave the airport and the 8,000 degree heat with 400% humidity hits you. Then LSU sucks and the HC recruiting you may not be there when you enroll.

You then realize the local school is kinda dope and you even visit another and it's dope, too. You try to like LSU so you visit again. It's better than the first time but it doesn't stop being hot and swampy. You really try to like it but it's not for you. You don't like crawfish or gumbo or the heat. It's just not what you want and you only knew when you went.

Just a guess but it probably went a little like that.

Honestly, if being at that game didn't convince him to keep Michigan in the race, nothing was going to...

Michigan couldn't have had a better weekend than that....I thought he'd reup with USC anyways.

CB suddenly doesn’t look as bad. We have a freshman who looks like a stud in Turner. Gray has turned into a Stribling level corner with sophomore eligibility and we get 5* Will Johnson coming in (also players like McBurows who should be promising).

I'm sure the campus has a lot of appeal but I've been watching college football since 1990 and USC has been elite for only about a quarter of that time (mostly 2002-08 with Carroll).  Riley is probably going to do well but it's not like Helton was the only underwhelming coach out there.  It's been a lot more Skittles than king crab since the '80s

His comments in interviews have always indicated he really wants to be at USC and has good reasons for doing so.

When he opened it back up he was very clear he was only considering 3.

I don't read much into it other than he's narrowed his choice and is being very systematic.   He doesn't seem like an impulsive kid at all.

In fact, he seems like exactly the kind of guy we want at Michigan.  It just didn't click for him.

I hope he sets the world on fire.  If we play him, I hope he has the worst game of his career.

We did the best we could. But at the same time...who cares if he decides to go elsewhere.

We have a great DB class led by Will Johnson, Kody Jones, Pollard and possibly Zeke Berry coming in.

We’ll be fine… but frustrating that this happens with every single high profile 5 star recruit.. getting played like a fiddle continues

Sucks, but we're still going to have a really good secondary recruiting class: Johnson, Jones, Pollard, Dent, and likely Berry and Sabb. That's an elite fucking class right there
