OT: Hoke to wear headset this weekend
ESPN: Vols' interim coach Brady Hoke to wear headset in change from Michigan routine.
Glad we don't have to worry ourselves with this inane issue any longer. But, it is fun to laugh about it from afar. Rooting for him and the inevitable hilarity in the Hoke vs. Cajun Hoke clash this weekend.
*Clapping intensifies*

I only see 4 claps in that video.
Fake news.

No, you're not the only one who sees four claps because I do, too.

will he shrug and throw up his hands when he can't get the refs attention for a timeout?

I thought I would never have to see another Hoke headset post. I thought those 2013 and 2014 memories were buried forever.
I was wrong.

but the guy won 11 games one season and recruited the players that put more in the NFL draft than any other team all without violating any rules. It was that close to a 12-win season having 4 cracks at Iowa 1st & goal too as I recall.
It will always be my belief that he was handicapped by his boss stealing resources and money to promote branding and marketing rather than applying it to the Team.
And I'm happy to have Harbaugh.
But I think the question should be asked: Did Hoke lose games because of the lack of the headset? I think that's a tough argument to even start.
Unfortunately Hoke's been on the down side of the staffs of Oregon and UTenn with no time to do anything but maximize the 1 season at hand, which makes him seem like damaged goods. Hopefully that's not the total stamp on his career. Personally I think if there was interest for him to come back and coach DL when Mattison retires I'd be quite happy. I think he would do a great job.

The tackles were better than what we have now.
left tackle: Mark Ortmann left guard: Tim McAvoy center: David Molk right guard: David Mosman right tackle: Stephen Schilling Making these guys play in a spread offense was a complete disaster.

The only question I had was this - "When did it occur to him that this was actually a good way to communicate with your staff on the field and in the booth after all?" That is to say, when between the end of the 2014 season and now did this revelation happen?

It was a perfect storm of having a greedy, money-grubbing AD and a pawn who would "walk from San Diego" to take the job and say yes to everything Brandon ordered. Brady never would have been in serious consideration if it wasn't for the worst AD in Michigan's history who needed a Yes Man.
Hard pass from me all the way around.

I don't know if it was quite to that extent (Hoke did coach at BSU and SDSU for almost a decade; he wouldn't want to be a complete patsy) but I do suspect that Brandon tried to interfere with the gameplanning at times and that the Borges firing/Nuss hiring may well have been his call.

Sentimental monopoly money on UT pulling this out. LSU lays eggs all the time. Brady is a great motivator - he can get a team inspired because he's a likable guy. That counts for something in the short-term. It's the long-term that needed improvement.

Even in the last two years of Hoke’s regime, years where this team had zero business even being on the same field as OSU, much less beating them, they showed up and put themselves in position to win. They didn’t finish the job of course, but Hoke must’ve had some great pregame speeches before those games rolled around.

Even 2011 is bittersweet for me - that's the year we coulda shoulda won the B1G except for Hoke and Borges deciding Denard Robinson should throw from under center in a trash tornado.
