2023 National Championship Rings [title edited]
Does anyone have any idea as to when the Michigan 2023 National Championship Rings will be revealed? I currently display the 97 Championship and already have the ring box ready to display the 2023 replica.
Will there be a ceremony getting the team together in any capacity or do the rings simply get mailed to their respective homes?
Does anyone have any idea when the public will be able to get a view of the Rose Bowl Trophy and the 23 National Championship trophy?
Is this as Schembechler Hall and open to the public?
I will be in AA for USC hopeful this would be part of my pilgrimage.
[I edited out the well-known nickname of a specific brand of cheap alcohol, replacing it with the correct terminology "National". We're not here to inadvertently provide free advertising for some gawd-awful undrinkable swill. -rob f]
The rings that will be taken away for cheating.
-Every osu fan who still cant accept that we have beat them 3 in a row and we just won the Natty.
Apologies to the board as my PIC showed in the preview but not the post.
I have seen player put rings up for sale - seems wrong to acquire to me does not sit right for me.
I’ve sold all my possessions. Way to go. Saab doesn’t seem to be the sentimental type either, maybe he will sell you his.
Mineral King has become Zen
Gotta pay for those greens fees somehow.
I agree. There is something sentimental to the winning of a title that only belongs to the people part of the team and organization that accomplished the feat. For instance, I don’t understand why someone that had no part in contributing to a Super Bowl victory would want a Super Bowl ring, no matter how cool it looks. That person is just a poseur.
I imagine they'll look something like this.
Didn’t you hear? There will be no rings.
The NCAA will imminently be swooping in like the true vanguards of justice that they are, striking fear into the hearts of all those disgusting cheaters, denying Michigan players their national title rings, repo-ing the CFP trophy, and throwing Harbaugh in the gallows to allow the truly victimized masses in Columbus and EL to hit him with rotten tomatoes. You know, because player safety and the integrity of the sport or something.
OSU then gets retroactively awarded the CFP title because “Michigan should never have been there, and OSU would’ve beaten Alabama and Washington anyway so it’s only fair.”
Michigan will then get hit with a twenty year postseason ban, can’t provide scholarships of any kind, and if anyone within Ann Arbor proper so much as picks up a football in that time, the NCAA will come down like the hammer of Thor and award OSU five national titles as punishment.
Signed,
11W, probably
No offense to the OP but I'm ever King for the day my first order of business is to ban the term "NATTY" and make the use of it in any form punishable by having the users hand & or tongue cut off for a first offense, death penalty for repeat offenders.
For some this might seem harsh but this just needs to happen.
I get that slang changes over the years, but when I hear the word Natty I think of that cheap ass beer that was always left over after a BYOB party. Not even drunk me was desperate enough to drink that stuff.
You're prolly right. We could of done better.
I share the sentiment, if not the severity of the sanction for violating the ‘never say natty’ law
Interesting that the name of your law included the word you are trying to ban. So to officially charge someone with violating the law the prosecutor will have to say the banned word and therefore will be in violation.
It is quite the conundrum, isn’t it?
A real catch deuce-deuce, if you will.
I figured as much. Yet another "soft on crime" liberal lawyer.
Second the motion and throw out the term tuddy, too
I think the only appropriate use of the term is when you can say you “Won a Natty”.
Only because I think that term is just as annoying as you and if it can piss off one more OSU or SEC fan then the term should be admissible and encouraged.
My suggestion is - do not drive through Ohio. The State Troopers will put out an APB (All Points Bulletin) for your vehicle - and, most likey, you'll be sentenced to spend a week on the O$U Campus.
Thank you for defining APB for the class.
you'll be sentenced to spend a week on the O$U Campus.
They still have the death penalty in Ohio?
Someone has to spend time there -- the OSU football players certainly don't.....
Yeah, I'd hate to spend 30 days in the cooler in Ohio.

How do you feel about referring to people named Matthew as Matty? Concerned about a slippery slope.
Matty, Matthew, Rookie of the Year ... it's all the same to me.
-- Matty Beniers
Yeah - I felt the same. But have heard multiple players referring to the Natty so I’m OK with it now.
I will always downvote the use of that term. This is the hill that I will die on (or at least expend my MGoPoints).
*with an exception for references to Natural Light, which will always be acceptable
Thank you for being the voice of ‘old.’ I shared this sentiment for years, but once I heard so many players using the term this year I realized it was a lost cause. I still won’t say it but it’s no longer nails on the chalkboard to me (do they still have chalkboards in school?)
I hate the term Natty too. It seems
lile it gets thrown around by a lot of the same people who, when talking about Michigan’s football team or other sports teams use the term “we”. Like they are part of the team or organization. Just annoys me.
And yes I’ve heard myself yell “Get off my lawn”. I’m old and I’m okay with it.
^^^ VERY APPRECIATED^^^
Georgia players and coaches got FOUR rings: one for the SEC title, one for the Peach Bowl, one for the National Title (that is the same every year and handed out by the CFP), then the one with two trophies is from the school.
I can understand the Peach Bowl, SEC title and National title rings. I am a little surprised they did a separate ring for CFP championship game as a standalone.
Will the National Championship 🏆 be at any more Meijer stores? Is there an online schedule of other places where the National Championship Trophy will be on public display?
Coors Lite Championship Ring??
