CFP Rankings: Michigan remains #3
1. Georgia
2. ohio state
3. Good Guys
4. Florida State? (WASHINGTON getting absolutely snubbed again)
The disrespect continues. BRING IT ON.
Clearly going into to Penn State and beating them in a dominant fashion means nothing to these idiots.
Keep winning fellas!

Missed one: disrespekt

Thank you!
November 14th, 2023 at 9:33 PM ^
The logic is just far too inconsistent from team to team.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:34 PM ^
No kidding. Washington has some massive wins but are #5? What?!??
November 14th, 2023 at 9:45 PM ^
They're getting screwed but I'm completely fine with it. If it ends up being Georgia 1, Michigan 2, then I would much rather play FSU in the Rose Bowl than Washington.
November 14th, 2023 at 10:10 PM ^
Washington is now an underdog to Oregon State this weekend. SO MUCH DISRESPEKT FOR THE HUSKIES.
November 14th, 2023 at 10:34 PM ^
As long as they jump over Ohio after we bury those nuts in the ground
November 14th, 2023 at 9:33 PM ^
FSU feels a bit like TCU last year where they clearly are a step behind the other top teams but just keep winning close games. Washington looks more dangerous and have played a tougher schedule in my opinion, but I also suspect if they win out they'll be in the playoffs.

They’ll lose to Oregon.
November 14th, 2023 at 11:47 PM ^
Very possible. Still a ton of football yet to be played including many top rivalries.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:34 PM ^
They got the ESPN memo to not even talk about Michigan. Lol. Can’t wait for 11/25.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:34 PM ^
Rank James Madison you cowards. Those guys are getting screwed. Force the NCAA to do the right thing and let them play a bowl game.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:34 PM ^
They're framing it so they can get in two sec teams instead of putting in two big ten teams again. Fine with me, the big ten can go f itself.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:47 PM ^
Can't see FSU losing another game in weak ACC, though one might be close.
And think either Washington or Oregon will get in.
Then Michigan.
So two SEC teams ain't happening, IMO.
November 14th, 2023 at 10:01 PM ^
There has been a lot of good football played out west this year. If UW wins out I think they would be getting screwed if FSU got in over them.
November 14th, 2023 at 10:43 PM ^
If Alabama thumps UGA in the SEC CG and UW, FSU and Texas win out convincingly, could we see no SEC teams in the CFP? How crazy is that?
November 15th, 2023 at 9:11 AM ^
It will never happen. They will use Bama's BIG WIN!! over #1 GA to put them in. They have dialed it in already.
November 15th, 2023 at 5:56 AM ^
That's assuming Washington and FSU win out. If either loses a game, or Oregon destroys Washington, or Michigan/Ohio State is hanging around with one loss, this ranking puts Georgia in position to sneak in over them if their only loss is to Alabama.
November 15th, 2023 at 6:41 AM ^
Fsu is done with their ACC schedule except for the championship game
November 14th, 2023 at 11:27 PM ^
With all the controversy, Michigan isn’t getting in with a loss.
November 14th, 2023 at 11:59 PM ^
If Washington wins out, OSU might not either.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:34 PM ^
Strictly by resume UW should be #1. By "yikes that defense" they shouldn't. But they have the best collection of wins (#6, #17, #22). Compared to Georgia who has #9 and #13. OSU has #12 and #19. We have #12. FSU has #15.
Huskies get #11 on the road next week and are actually 1 point dogs last I checked.
November 14th, 2023 at 10:25 PM ^
OSU probably claiming they have victories over #4 and #6 ( or whatever PSU and ND were when they played them).
November 14th, 2023 at 9:35 PM ^
This does not really matter but I would love to hear the rationale for why OSU over Michigan. Resume is comparable and Michigan better passes the eye test and has been more dominant. Plus has two superior past seasons vs OSU (which seems to be the rationale for UGA at #1). But whatever.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:42 PM ^
The only explanation is they have the win at Notre Dame.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:45 PM ^
Is that the three loss Notre Dame team you’re referring to?
I thought the win over four loss Youngstown State might be the difference maker.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:47 PM ^
Not saying if it's the right call or not. Just saying that would be the reason.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:59 PM ^
ND was over ranked to start the season. It seemed like an impressive victory at the time, but a last second touchdown against 10 guys on two plays to a team that will end the season with 4 losses is not impressive. (ND may only end with 3 as they usually end up with a favorable bowl opponent.
November 14th, 2023 at 10:10 PM ^
We both beat PSU and ND is a better win vs our second ranked win which would be…UNLV? Rutgers? Doesn’t really matter.
November 14th, 2023 at 11:19 PM ^
Winning at PSU is more impressive than OSU's win against them.
November 15th, 2023 at 3:59 AM ^
We also shutout MSU and put up more points on them than OSU. In an away game for us and a home one for OSU.
November 15th, 2023 at 8:59 AM ^
If we're relying on MSU as some sort of benchmark, I'm okay with ceding #1 to them until we settle it on the field.
November 14th, 2023 at 11:13 PM ^
This is the problem with preseason rankings, they continue to influence people's perspective long after they've become irrelevant.
Klatt dropped a crazy stat this week on his show: Texas A&M has only had two double digit win seasons since 1998. This idea that they were a good program on the cusp of breaking through was essentially fabricated by the preseason polls. I wish they didn't have any polls before week 7 at the earliest.
November 15th, 2023 at 6:25 AM ^
This is absolutely true. It would be harder to pull off the shell game that is rankings for college football if everyone had to play half a dozen games before a single ranking was released.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:35 PM ^
I’m really hoping The Game is 1 vs 2. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things but would be great to get the “Game of the Century 2006” taste out of my mouth.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:39 PM ^
That 2006 game was rough, but the bad taste should've washed out by early 2007. See, events just a few weeks later showed us how little it mattered. It would've been different if OSU had routed Florida (rather than the other way around).
I think the 2006 Michigan team was overrated. (In case anyone has forgotten the definition, I don't mean that they were bad. They were very good, just not great.) A good collection of stars and several "just guys." The offensive line was a good example.

2003. The 100-th meeting.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:35 PM ^
Meh, this is all to make crazy rankings and drive ratings. There is no reason to do rankings now except to drive story lines. At the end of the day, you win you get in. Nothing else matters.

The most anticlimactic show of the year
November 14th, 2023 at 9:37 PM ^
Obligatory fuck Rece Davis, Joey Galloway and all those other SEC shills.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:40 PM ^
The funny thing is Rece is an AP voter, has us #2 to Georgia (think had us #1 before they demolished Mississippi). OSU #5.
November 14th, 2023 at 9:41 PM ^
Galloway is one of the dumbest people on tv imo. He doesn't even come across as an "aw shucks" nice guy either. Total loser
