The SEC reached out to the B1G to provide evidence that “Michigan staff member (Stalions)” attended SEC games as well
Not sure if it was confirmed prior that the SEC was also colluding with the B1G on this:
In addition, the commissioner of the Southeastern Conference informed the Conference that the University staff member had purchased tickets to the SEC football championship game in Atlanta.
If true, to hell with the SEC too.

I have thoughts on Atlanta
November 10th, 2023 at 5:42 PM ^
F the B1G, F the NCAA, F em all.
As Metallica, a wise soothsayer prescient before their time once said:
November 10th, 2023 at 6:29 PM ^
As did General Sherman
November 10th, 2023 at 5:37 PM ^
What does that have to do with Big Ten? Not the conference they run. Good god these stadiums have 100k fans with cellphones and a national tv audience. What kind of private event do these fucks think is happening on the sidelines?
November 10th, 2023 at 5:41 PM ^
It's not even illegal according to the NCAA, who affirmed to OSU that in-person scouting is permitted in the postseason.
(which, according to Petitty logic, means that the NCAA purposely endangers player health in the postseason).
November 10th, 2023 at 5:45 PM ^
I think that was specific to the playoff games because they are governed by the CFP.
Ohio State asked the CFP if they could attend/scout the other semi-final game, and the CFP said they had not made a rule specifically against it, so yeah. Then the next season the CFP made a rule against it to be in-line with the NCAA.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:53 PM ^
Those SEC teams weren't on our schedule. So there was nothing to scout -- except for the CFP.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:06 PM ^
Exactly. They aren’t on our schedule so we can go to whatever game we want. Also it doesn’t affect the big ten at all, so a big ten commissioner worth anything would have told the SEC to kindly fuck off.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:57 PM ^
So connecting the dots, ohio state was ready to leak its information if Michigan won the NC last year to taint our victory if it happened.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:04 PM ^
Which means they leaked all of this stuff this year because OSU is SOFT.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:23 PM ^
Yes, this is beyond Charmin.
They literally do not believe that they can beat us.
That's not going to go away if Harbaugh is watching the game on TV.
The FIRST big play on D or on O will stun them with a reality that it wasn't a refurbished vacuum salesman beating them the last two years. It was Michigan, and Michigan is even better now, while OSU is even worse.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:29 PM ^
This was the best fvcking leak they could come up with?????!!!??!!
November 10th, 2023 at 5:37 PM ^
Michigan vs Everybody
November 10th, 2023 at 5:56 PM ^
This is what it actually looks like, Ryan Day.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:04 PM ^
Seems like everybody is on OSU's side.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:31 PM ^
The national media has changed tune this week. Michigan's leaks have made a very compelling argument. And quite a lot of neutral fans, even if they think M was wrong, seem to express the way this is going down is unfair.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:23 PM ^
The SEC is not our friend, but...
We announce an interest in leaving and see if they change their tune.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:37 PM ^
Makes sense. You know what doesn't make sense? The B10 doing it to their fucking flagship program! Over fucking nothing.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:44 PM ^
Unless someone with a vested interest is steering this ship and compromised Lil' Tony prior to his starting the job, say, with a real estate windfall on a very short term period of ownership.
In the interest of competitive fairness an immediate investigation needs to be launched and Lil' Tony needs to be indefinitely suspended. Documents are public and appearances matter, to keep the students...safe.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:02 PM ^
What other league is stupid and petty enough to submarine one of their biggest money making programs in a year where theyre the leagues best shot at a title. This league is run by idiots
November 10th, 2023 at 6:12 PM ^
It’s not nothing. They seethe with envy. Not only are we good at all revenue sports but we haven’t had to make concessions to our academic reputation to be good. Historically apart from UCLA, ND and maybe Texas no other school can claim that including Stanford which is mostly an Olympic sports power.
We also have national appeal as a brand with a huge fanbase. That pisses them off to no end.
November 10th, 2023 at 7:24 PM ^
I believe the big 10 feels ohio is the flagship program, and they have been for 2 decades, but not anymore. I believe that is why they are going along with this. The stink of it is that what Stallions did was not necessary with what Coach has built here.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:38 PM ^
I remember this being said within the first few hours of this whole thing.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:55 PM ^
Yeah, I think this is actually old news. I remember seeing this before.
Go Blue.
Beat PSU.
Bet.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:38 PM ^
Cool , but not illegal. They are not future opponents.. Next
November 10th, 2023 at 5:40 PM ^
nailed it
November 10th, 2023 at 8:41 PM ^
Exactly……so what
November 10th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
Purchasing tickets does not mean he attended.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
I'm sure the SEC is very happy to assist with the Big Ten's self-implosion in any way they can!
November 10th, 2023 at 5:55 PM ^
My exact thought. I respect the SEC for this.
“Oh you are trying to cannibalize one of your own. Well let me just help you along with that. I would love to get an extra team into the CFP. Here’s the evidence you requested”
Sankey trying to fight back his laughing as Petitti thanks him for his help.
Holy crap where did we find this Petitti guy?
November 10th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
The fact that your rival conference suddenly wants to "help you out" with this investigation should be all you need to know if you're Tony Pettiti.
I wonder why the SEC would offer information that might help keep Michigan out of the playoff...
November 10th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
Which SEC team was on Michigan's schedule?
Apparently the SEC is afraid too
November 10th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
Lol. ACC it is, I guess.
Also, those teams weren't on our schedule, so not sure why that's relevant to any rules.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:40 PM ^
So, ACC it is. Wouldn't it be ironic if these two conferences ruined their power play of having two major super conferences over this short sited thinking?
November 10th, 2023 at 5:40 PM ^
We know what stalions was doing. Nobody is disputing that
November 10th, 2023 at 5:40 PM ^
This seems laughably inconsequential. Like even less so than the details of Dr. Evil's childhood.
November 10th, 2023 at 6:25 PM ^
"Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons..."
November 10th, 2023 at 5:41 PM ^
This is not against the rules per the exact info request OSU made regarding postseason opponents.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:42 PM ^
So, was Stalions in Indy for the B1G CCG, was he in Atlanta for the SEC CCG - or did he teleport between the two locations?
I believe the CFP, for the playoff, allowed advanced in-person scouting for the semi-finals.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:43 PM ^
Ahhhh, the SEC, those paragons of virtue. How many recruits did you all lure away from Michigan via impermissible benefits? Wish Michigan "reached out to the NCAA to provide evidence" of that back then.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:43 PM ^
Who cares. The rule is only about scouting teams on that year’s schedule
November 10th, 2023 at 5:44 PM ^
Set everything on fire!!!!!
November 10th, 2023 at 5:45 PM ^
Considering they weren’t future opponents at the time, isn’t that, you know, not illegal?
I don’t know what this is for other than to just dump more bad PR on Michigan.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:45 PM ^
So what.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:45 PM ^
color me shocked
November 10th, 2023 at 5:46 PM ^
why in the world SEC wants to help Michigan on this?
November 10th, 2023 at 5:46 PM ^
But we weren’t scheduled to play an sec team so it should not matter and is clearly legal.
November 10th, 2023 at 5:46 PM ^
I mean, this is what a smart conference does. I'm sure if the roles were flipped, they'd say "noted, we will wait for the NCAA to finish their investigation".
