T.G.I.F. Step by Step

Thought she was hot when I was a lad watching the episodes live. Feelings on that matter haven't changed in 30 years. A classic.
RIP, lady!

Mine and many others first glimpse of her.
My thighs cry for her.

Classic shot in a classic T-Bird. How intriguing that in that movie, she had a cameo role in that who's that lady...

Laughter is calling for you, Suzanne...down at our rendezvous.
Rest in Peace.

Crazy to think that all the cast from Three's Company have passed away.

Janet (Joyce DeWitt) is still alive.
Probably having one down at the Regal Beagle as we speak.

My wife told me Joyce Dewitt had passed away. Last time I listen to her!!!!
October 16th, 2023 at 7:32 AM ^
Probably confused her with Cindy Williams from Laverne and Shirley
October 16th, 2023 at 12:41 AM ^
Richard Kline is still kicking...probably trying to pick up on Janet as we speak.
October 16th, 2023 at 8:46 AM ^
Of course he is. He's the drummer for Night Ranger.

It is so on brand that Janet is still alive and no one noticed.

Another Three's Company alum, Audra Lindley, has inspired The Mrs. Roper Pub Crawl. There are chapters all over the country.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:16 AM ^
This...I want to be a part of this.
October 16th, 2023 at 12:59 AM ^
You and me both.

Not sure what inspired it, but my mom made us togas similar, but only one solid color in the early 80s. I was young and loved em, but learned fast that you can't raise a leg with socks on.

I'd say it's a muumuu, not a toga.

Those, senator, are caftans.

OK, this is truly inspired. I wonder if there is a chapter in Michigan somewhere.
More to the point of the OP, I believe Somers fought breast cancer for most of the last two decades or so. So much courage and tenacity indeed. RIP.

There might be a chapter somewhere, my sister has down 2 of these. 1 in Ypsi and one in Chelsea.

Never thought much of her on screen (even as a constantly horny teenager, I thought Chrissy Snow was too stupid to be sexy), but she was damned impressive off of it. She had the balls to demand equal pay on "Three's Company" (and got canned for her trouble), had the big financial success with Thighmaster, and became a best-selling author. And she had the guts to fight that fucking disease for 23 years.
Rest in peace, Ms. Somers. You fought one hell of a fight.

I only watched reruns of Threes Company because it was somewhat before my time, but loved watching her on Step by Step. Her and Patrick Duffy were remarkable together as parents on that show. I still watch it, along with FRIENDS, like they never went off-air. Ms. Somers character and personality were excellent outside of Hollywood as well. She was one of the famed celebrities that never let the status go to her head. She was an animal lover, and fought cancer for a while. She beat cancer so many times and should be seen as a hero for it to many women. RIP Ms. Somers!

Such a sad, troubled life. Hopefully she enjoyed moments of happiness between the dark times.
October 16th, 2023 at 11:50 AM ^
I think that's a pretty weird summary of her life ("sad, troubled").

She was canned from 3's co. for asking for a raise. Ritter was getting 150k/episode she made 30k and was probably the breakout star. I always thought she quit. Kudos to her for standing up for her rights. Allegedly she did negotiate residuals that her costars didn't get which chilled their relationships for years.

Susanne Summers owes me $22.95 for convincing my wife to but the P.O.S. Thigh master.
