I can only imagine that this takes some time off the end of your life. Why would someone even want to do this? If I actually met someone that did this, I would not be impressed by them or inspired in any way. I would think they are a bit crazy.
if JJ came back, we are the favorites to win the title. But that didn't happen and the obvious hurdle in the Oregon, Texas, and Ohio St games are about our offense. If we can have a offense that can somehow create balance with the run and pass.... we win. If either has any issues, then it simply comes down to turnovers, field position, special teams, and luck. I still think we have the advantage on the off and def line in these games, but we have to get something out of our QB(s). And we can't lose any game we are supposed to win. Meaning no let down weeks. Gonna have to bring it every week, because even the worst teams are gonna make us their game of the year.
I am forever thankful for the Natty, but he gutted the program. I don't really think of him as a Michigan man anymore. When has any coach ever went back to their roots.... then after success left and raided the cupboards like he has. Even if things work out with the new staff, it just breaks my heart how he didn't just leave for himself... he gutted the staff, and made it tough on the programs future.

But this team is damn young and really wasn't expected to make a run even in the NFC until next year. I think the future is really bright for the LIONS. Washington has a great Offense for sure! But surprising to me is that the Washington Defense is actually rated below Michigan State. I think our DB's will be tested and give up a few big plays, but we should be able to move the ball on offense at will.
I am not even close to as confident as I was two weeks ago. Our offensive line has not looked like I had hoped. Had issues pass blocking in both of the last two games that need to be fixed. Pass defense looked shaky in zone coverage at times today. We better bring the A game next Sat! Its tough to blow out a team like OSU, but we sure as hell don't want to give them any chance to keep the game close.
Key next week will likely be turnovers, and pts off turnovers. We need to win that battle!

I am 44. I was maybe 10 at the time, but my grandpa took me to this 2hr baseball clinic somewhere in Oakland County. The 4 instructors were Dave Rozema, Jim Northrup, Gates Brown and Jim Price. I was young, but a diehard baseball fan and Tigers fan. At the time, I had no idea who Jim Price was. He stood out as a person with his energy and passion. While this is only my opinion... the other three were awesome at giving tips on how to improve aspects of my game; Mr Price made me feel like he was only there to see me. I will never forget, and he was one of those individuals in life you just wish could live forever.

"they all suck this year, so they can suspend them all." I guess I am sorry so many of you are around bad state fans. I try not to be around bad people in general, and the few state fans I consider friends are pretty realistic and even joke that Izzo is the best at mentoring felons in the country. I can understand the thought, but don't want this to ever happen for multiple reasons. This was a isolated incident. Saying State has intent to hurt Michigan players is just wrong. Does Michigan basketball have intent to hurt other coaches because of Juwan's actions?
Michigan was not innocent in this situation, but of course nothing justified the actions taken from a few select players that may never put on a college uniform again? Its fine to be emotional and develop a healthy *hate* for State from this, but don't make it something its not.
It absolutely is a rivalry! Not because of the records overall, or in the past few years.... but because of the close proximity of the schools. For those of us that live in Michigan, all of us have friends we value that have degrees from both universities. Or I would hope so. Even if my child played for State athletically, I would still root for Maize and Blue, but hope they excelled in their losing effort. :P
State is spiraling down and Michigan is getting back to what it used to be, and should be nationally again. Lets say we play every 2 years from now on; I sure as hell don't want to wait 2 years to avenge a loss, or wait 2 years to kick their butt again and again.

I love the Noon starts, and when its a 330 game, I find myself watching the seconds click watching some other noon game I don't care about. Only wishing it was Michigan playing right then and there. I have had months of hype and anticipation, so get it going! Noon is spot on to wake up, and get some breakfast.... and get it on! Then have the rest of the day to do what normal adults do; chores, dinner, work, and interact with family.
Easy now... playoffs should be expected, but this team is still a couple years from being a cup contender.
I absolutely love the Yzerplan tho! Its set up so if the team under achieves, short contracts can be dealt for more pics. And the farm system is pretty loaded with high ceiling players.

While the first 6 above a highly likely to be in the NHL within two years, if not a couple cracking the roster next year.... The rest all have a high ceiling. I see the future as extremely bright for the Red Wings in the next 2 to 3 years.

My 1A is the University of Michigan Medical Facilities that dont care about race, or what university you came from and continue to be *cutting edge* in the medical field to help all.
My 1B is the 1992 Michigan basketball team with the Fab 5. It changed the game. It was something I very much enjoyed as a 12 year old boy, but also saw the impact it had on the game instantly. Had there not been the fab 5, would any have drafted the phenoms right out of HS such as Kobe, Kevin Garnett, Jermaine Oneal, and Tracy Mcgrady? I feel it was a direct response to the fab five that allowed the game to evolve.
Its 2026 and not sure I agree with your title. Its not a F you to the midwest. Its where can the continent have the best venues for a world cup without expectations of 100s of millions being spent to secure a location.
This world cup might be a *game changer* for the USA/North America with this format and being it is the biggest stage for soccer/futbol; I feel the choices are very fitting and are also not just about the venue. They are areas that can support the masses that will come from all over the world to watch.

It was part of the game and somehow I/we have to accept it, but he was great... not as great as some. Sweetest swing... Griffey Jr. Singles.... Ichiro. Doubles.... Edgar Martinez. Triples.... Kenny Loften. HR..... Barry Bonds. Pitching: Clemens/Ryan. Relief.... Lee Smith.
While some of these above took physically enhancing tactics.... They were true examples without it.
I am a Wings fan and of course a Mich fan. But not sure I have ever rooted for a team because they had a former Wing, or any former Mich player. I wish the former Mich/Wings players the best, but once they put on another uniform, I just can't root for them to win a cup.
I can say I hate any and all NY teams. I respect Mcdavid, Mackinnon, Stamkos, and the stars still playing, but really have no favorite to win the cup. I guess if I had to pick one, it would be for Mcdavid to win one with EDM. But Not because I like EDM, or really any other players there. Its just because I think he is the best player in the NHL this generation and if he can be front and center, it would only help the game and the NHL.
But whoever wins it this year.... Congrats.
