Bryce Underwood (2025 5* QB) set to visit Colorado against USC
It looks like Colorado and Coach Prime are now contenders, along side UM and LSU.

whatever happens happens. If he doesn't come here then we'll roll with Jadyn Davis. Not a bad backup plan. I'm not going to be stressing over the decision of a 17 year old. As long as he goes to a school outside the big ten.

You know, now that my own kids are the age of the kids that are being recruited to play upper-tier D1 football, I ask myself how it is possible for some people to worry intensely about the decisions of teenagers they don't even know and will likely never meet when, back at your own home, they still can't be bothered to replace the fucking loo paper when the roll runs out even though you tell them repeatedly that it is a matter of etiquette.
September 7th, 2023 at 2:42 PM ^
The “loo paper”??? Does he take the lift to your flat, too, King Charles?? 🤣🤣
September 7th, 2023 at 3:18 PM ^
Do you suppose King Charles wipes his own butt?
September 7th, 2023 at 3:37 PM ^
Oh piss boy!
September 7th, 2023 at 3:46 PM ^
I always wanted to pee in a bucket.. but NEVER poop in a cooler!
September 7th, 2023 at 3:52 PM ^
If you haven't read 'The Princess and the Potty' to your kids, then you may not belong in this conversation, anyway. :) And then--of course--you would know. Just sayin'.
September 7th, 2023 at 5:06 PM ^
"Don't talk about King Charles's bare butt unless you've used my favorite potty-training book" might be the weirdest gate-keeping on the web.
September 7th, 2023 at 4:29 PM ^
Well played.
September 7th, 2023 at 3:03 PM ^
You can borrow this from my ancient playbook.
Mom and Dad huddle and agree to bring their own TP in and out for a few days. Junior then has "a moment" and suddenly understands. Enjoy smiling at kiddo when he looks at the two of you with a combined shocked, disappointed, and generally stunned look.
September 7th, 2023 at 3:25 PM ^
It doesn't get better, offspring in their 20s don't get a new bog roll either.
September 7th, 2023 at 6:26 PM ^
Bog roll >>> loo paper.
September 7th, 2023 at 3:28 PM ^
You posted this from the loo, didn’t you?
September 7th, 2023 at 4:35 PM ^
When I was in school I remember holding an All-American’s legs for a 2:00 am keg stand before a noon kickoff. They are kids. Weird stuff is doing to happen. Enjoy it when it goes our way but don’t sweat it if it doesn’t.
September 7th, 2023 at 4:42 PM ^
My 8 year old replaces the roll....but always does it so the paper comes out under instead of over it despite me telling and showing him the correct way.
September 7th, 2023 at 5:16 PM ^
Too late to give up for adoption?
September 7th, 2023 at 5:27 PM ^
I work with 40+ year olds that haven't mastered this skill.
September 8th, 2023 at 1:23 PM ^
The women in our office had to have a meeting because someone kept crapping on the toilet seat and not flushing. My only question is why would she flush if she left it on the seat?
Certain sacrifices come with working and living in Ohio. Where people crap is one of them.
September 7th, 2023 at 7:33 PM ^
They can't be bothered to do shit! Or told shit! They have all the answers.
September 7th, 2023 at 3:21 PM ^
We're also in a good spot with other QBs in the class unlike other years. Campbell has been doing a great job
September 7th, 2023 at 3:53 PM ^
After one freakin' game, I'm not gonna get too anxious.
September 10th, 2023 at 10:55 AM ^
It was fun to think we were the leaders for a few months.
September 7th, 2023 at 1:55 PM ^
Underwood is generational, so we will definitely be fighting everyone and their brother....He seems to love Campbell and had great things to say about what JJ did on Saturday. Let's just keep making it easy for him to stay local!
September 7th, 2023 at 2:58 PM ^
Within the last few years I've heard the word "generational" used for Quinn Ewers, Bryce Young, Trevor Lawrence, and, if I remember correctly, Josh Rosen. Now, I'm not knocking you in any way, because Underwood seems like he's got all the stuff to be great. I'm just wondering how long is a generation? In my fandom (started watching in 1997 when I was 7, there have been other Bryce Youngs, Lawrences, Ewers, and Rosens. Vince Young or Tebow would be the generational one, with the nod probably going to Tebow.
September 7th, 2023 at 3:03 PM ^
What you’re not old enough to remember Tim Couch or Ron Pawlus?
September 7th, 2023 at 3:16 PM ^
I bought Powlus's second Heisman Trophy on eBay last week... got a surprisingly good deal from user BeanoCook1931... supposed to arrive any day now...
September 8th, 2023 at 8:14 AM ^
Ha! Man, here in KY you would have thought Tim Couch was the 2nd coming.
September 8th, 2023 at 1:44 PM ^
My inlaws are Browns fans. They thought their fortunes were going to finally change with generational QB Tim Couch at the helm.
September 7th, 2023 at 3:20 PM ^
It’s possible to have multiple generational talents at the same time. 3 of the top tennis players of all time just overlapped for most of their careers
September 7th, 2023 at 3:49 PM ^
Generational talent used to mean once in a generation, that was before the sports media decided to use it for anyone who showed more talent than their peers.
September 7th, 2023 at 4:18 PM ^
The media so often takes hyperbole to hyperbolic levels that words lose meaning.
September 7th, 2023 at 3:48 PM ^
Fair point, but Sam Webb siad he's the best player out of MI since Henson (1998). Would be a huge loss to not get a kid like that in the backyard and he's a QB.
I generally trust Sam more than others, esp on MI kids
September 7th, 2023 at 4:29 PM ^
I think they were saying that about Shane Morris as well.
In that regard i would be looking at a top contender, with good OL play, and good QB coaching if it were me.
I hope we are keeping Ryan Montgomery on the front burner. He seems to have genuine Michigan interest and a great all around game.
https://247sports.com/player/ryan-montgomery-46117074/
Underwood just seems to have that next pretty girl that walks by has my interest and I want to leave leave Michigan vibe to him.
Hope I’m wrong because it seems like a safe bet to get everything you need at Michigan.
September 7th, 2023 at 5:06 PM ^
“Underwood just seems to have that next pretty girl that walks by has my interest and I want to leave leave Michigan vibe to him.”
You are saying this—wholly unwarranted for the best QB in the country—about a kid who just turned 16 last month.
I have a son this age. I can assure that he, too, is interested in the next pretty girl that walks by and has at least a passing desire to leave his hometown.
September 7th, 2023 at 5:51 PM ^
He can literally go anywhere he wants and he should go wherever he wants. There is nothing wrong with that at all.
But QB is the position that stands out where when you get a big time early commit they become a leader and recruiter with momentum to help build a great class.
I have a buddy that had woman everywhere at the most random times aggressively hit on him. It made it really hard for him to settle down.
September 8th, 2023 at 12:44 AM ^
Not a single soul said that about Shane Morris.
September 8th, 2023 at 1:25 AM ^
False. It was said about Sugar Shane since his sophomore year at De La Salle.
September 7th, 2023 at 1:55 PM ^
Sees post: digs through to find previous response to the post about whether or not to root for Nebraska, changes answer!
September 7th, 2023 at 1:58 PM ^
Can't blame the kid after what Shadeur did on Saturday. And he'll see two QB friendly offenses with USC in town.
But if Deion turns Colorado around like he did Jackson State, he'll be on an NFL sideline in 2025.
September 7th, 2023 at 2:18 PM ^
I don't agree that he'll be on an NFL sideline but if he gets Colorado even remotely successful, he sure as hell won't be staying in Boulder
September 7th, 2023 at 2:45 PM ^
Why not? The Big 12 provides the easiest path to the playoffs each year and Colorado is poised to be the big fish in the little pond. His recruiting seems to be completely reliant on his own celebrity, not the school, and Boulder is a nice place.
If he pulls in a bunch of 5* recruits, what more would a place like FSU be able to offer?
September 7th, 2023 at 4:00 PM ^
Before the move the B12, I was in the other camp. Now I'm with trending to this POV. They have the opportunity to become the top dog in that conference. I know 12-team playoff makes it more wide open, but you take a lot of risk out the equation if you can bank on being a power conf. champ favorite year in and year out. Who would have thought this remotely possible a year ago for CU?
September 7th, 2023 at 4:17 PM ^
There's a school in the SEC or B10 that will offer 15M/yr that I'm not sure CU could match. The expanded playoff minimizes the concern about playoff access being limited in either conf: 2-3 losses can still get you in. IMO, anyway
September 7th, 2023 at 5:32 PM ^
Sure, big time money will come calling if the Buffs stay on a certain path, and CU has not been the kind of school spend like that. But they've never had an asset like Deion either. No on has, really. Not sure what may happen, but nothing shocks me anymore.
And yes, I acknowledged 12-team playoff makes it easier. Some two-loss teams will get in every year, no doubt. And sure, once in a while maybe even a three-loss team. But if you can be like a Florida St. in the ACC in the 90s Bowden era, build something like that in the B12, it has to be a little enticing.
Anyway, it's a wildly speculative conversation after a single game. But fun nonetheless to speculate.
September 7th, 2023 at 11:47 PM ^
Deion at Nebraska would make for some unmissable TV, games and commentary both. Bring this man to the big ten.
September 8th, 2023 at 8:09 PM ^
The open discussion on major networks about $5m offered by a “national title contender” to Drake Maye tells me that huge guarantees are very real.
LSU is involved in his commitment, so I doubt CU can outbid them. The money will only go up as UGA or Alabama or FSU or Miami realize how Underwood fills a talent gap as we get closer to NSD.
Regardless, I think he goes Blue.
September 7th, 2023 at 4:16 PM ^
Because Deion has said publicly that he likes the challenge and someone will have the resources to provide him better tools to work with.
September 7th, 2023 at 4:43 PM ^
If he likes a challenge, then he will stay with Colorado and win with what he's got - i.e. enjoy the challenge.
Going to someone else with better resources and tools is the opposite of that - that's what you do when you want less challenge.
September 7th, 2023 at 2:23 PM ^
Honestly, if Colorado goes say 10-2 this year is there any guarantee Deion is there next season?
