Jay Glazer:One NFL tea, has inquired with Niners about Harbaugh
Apparently they asked what it was like working with Harbaugh.https://twitter.com/nflonfox/status/1343248150182711297?s=21

I wonder if it was my favorite flavor of tea that inquired.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:25 PM ^
Lemon Ginger? Just guessing
December 27th, 2020 at 6:45 PM ^
Darjeeling... obviously
December 27th, 2020 at 7:09 PM ^
Clearly Harbal tea.
December 27th, 2020 at 8:04 PM ^
Chamomile seems about Harbaugh's speed.
December 27th, 2020 at 9:46 PM ^
sleepytime chamomile?
December 27th, 2020 at 11:38 PM ^
Did the Niners “spill the tea”?
Sorry, this reference comes from my Middle School daughter (meaning, they didn’t say nice things)
December 28th, 2020 at 12:21 AM ^
Could it be code?
December 28th, 2020 at 6:00 AM ^
Smooth Move? Always a fan favorite around the Holidays.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:16 PM ^
If I was motivated enough to post a recording of a fart sound here, I would. But I'm not.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:18 PM ^
Shows NFL interest in Harbaugh is pretty tepid. Not a strong bargaining position for Jim.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:23 PM ^
I am doubting that Harbaugh is leaving, but I can't fathom how you made that conclusion from what was said.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:39 PM ^
A single team. If he were in demand one would expect multiple teams to be inquiring.
December 27th, 2020 at 8:07 PM ^
One team asking the Niners what it’s like working with Harbaugh doesn’t mean only one team is interested in hiring Harbaugh...
December 27th, 2020 at 8:34 PM ^
Yeah, NFL team ownership groups are as dumb as auto company execs (maybe dumber in Dan Snyder’s case). Jim has a brother that coaches an NFL team to some!?! success. And even if Jim had also, like, not gone to a super bowl himself, some dumbass fail son capitalist would hire him in a second.
December 27th, 2020 at 9:21 PM ^
Obviously you are too smart to be auto company exec!!!
December 27th, 2020 at 9:41 PM ^
What if you have both dumb NFL ownership execs and dumb auto company execs at the same time?
Wait for it......
December 27th, 2020 at 9:51 PM ^
Hmmmm, that could only happen in....
December 27th, 2020 at 10:52 PM ^
You can be quite annoying
Adam Gase got a 2nd HC gig and you think Harbaugh won’t have multiple teams interested?
December 28th, 2020 at 10:35 AM ^
Yup. NFL teams love going with the safer bet which is why mediocre coaches can have 20 year careers in the NFL. Harbaugh would get picked up in a second if he wanted to go to the NFL as he's an even safer bet than hiring some NFL coordinator
December 28th, 2020 at 1:01 PM ^
FYI: Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
December 28th, 2020 at 1:09 PM ^
Any team interested in Harbaugh starts off knowing Jed York isn’t a fan, so there wouldn’t be much them to even ask. That only one team supposedly did ask doesn’t automatically mean others aren’t interested.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:40 PM ^
Implying they would be doing due diligence on exclusively on reports of dysfunction with Jed York leading to his departure? I suspect it's standard course of business to inquire with previous employers, and York is a professional who has been pretty neutral on Harbaugh since then, but that's no reason not to shit on our coach!
December 27th, 2020 at 7:21 PM ^
I agree there isn’t much direct evidence, but how do you prove a lack of interest other than no news? I think we can all infer there isn’t a ton of interest at this point. Our season has been over for weeks, both sides seem to be dragging their feet on an extension, and everyone in the world knows the Harbaugh/UM marriage isn’t going well. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t any interest, but if he was super desirable we would’ve heard way more chatter by now.
December 28th, 2020 at 9:25 AM ^
Have we heard chatter about other coaches? AFAIK not really.
Unless I'm wrong, these things are usually just message board rumors and sports talk radio fodder until a hire actually happens. I don't remember hearing much "chatter" about any coaches until something real actually happens.
Besides, how much "chatter" was there that Harbaugh would never coach in college and he "wants to stay in the NFL" and his wife would never leave the Bay Area etc. Chatter is absolutely meaningless, if we are going based on history.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:28 PM ^
Uh... how exactly did you reach that conclusion?
December 27th, 2020 at 6:28 PM ^
Even if there is interest, his bargaining position is weak since both sides have made it clear they'd rather move on.
December 27th, 2020 at 8:01 PM ^
Simple enough as this...if a NFL team is asking the 49rs what it was like to work with Harbaugh, they will not be offering him a job.
December 27th, 2020 at 8:26 PM ^
obligatory upvote
December 27th, 2020 at 6:41 PM ^
This is a comment I made in the Rocky Lombardi thread:
"Good, I hope it's the Chargers as I've been suspecting that he has been secretly interviewing with them while out here, the Spanos still live in San Diego."
December 27th, 2020 at 6:48 PM ^
RIP Arnold Palmer.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:51 PM ^
How many people from when Jim was with the 49ers are still there? And what are they going to ask besides 'how was going to the NFC Championship game 3 times and a trip to the Super Bowl?' At least there he had results to back up any friction with ownership. At UM, not so much.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:53 PM ^
Agreed. JH had success when it matter in the Pros. You can chalk up UM experience to a number of factors. If I’m an NFL team, I still kick the tires.
December 27th, 2020 at 9:43 PM ^
Ok, it’s settled then. You buy an NFL team, I’ll take Warde’s job and let’s work out a deal for JH. I’m thinking of a number, if you can guess it, he’s yours.
December 27th, 2020 at 10:17 PM ^
A dollar?
December 28th, 2020 at 10:33 AM ^
And then I'm the NFL team and I tell you, "Whatever number you're thinking of is irrelevant."
December 27th, 2020 at 6:52 PM ^
All it takes is 1 good opportunity. You don’t need 10 in front of you to be successful. Just need one that is a match for you.
December 27th, 2020 at 8:02 PM ^
I feel bad for that one team.
December 27th, 2020 at 6:57 PM ^
Was it British breakfast tea?
December 27th, 2020 at 6:58 PM ^
Hopefully not Sleepytime. The Jim of the last few years could probably use a caffeinated tea.
December 28th, 2020 at 4:56 AM ^
Harbel Tea?
December 27th, 2020 at 7:02 PM ^
My sources tell me it's Long Island Ice Tea, so the Jets are kicking his ankles. (It's the Jets so they don't know "kicking the tires" is just an expression.)
December 27th, 2020 at 8:02 PM ^
Wrong coast. Clearly, it's Long Beach Iced Tea.
December 27th, 2020 at 7:09 PM ^
Someone's going to at least ask about him. I doubt he's going to the NFL at this point.
December 27th, 2020 at 7:23 PM ^
So Oakland is still in play?
December 27th, 2020 at 8:20 PM ^
Only well timed use I've seen in six years. Good job. Where do we go from here?
December 27th, 2020 at 11:12 PM ^
Las Vegas?
December 27th, 2020 at 7:43 PM ^
Long Island Iced Tea is clearly the correct choice.
