Booooom! Livers, 8-8 from the FT-Line!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:14 PM ^
Livers is 30-30 FT since B1G conference sked began
February 23rd, 2020 at 12:27 AM ^
The announcer brought up that stat just before Livers shot his FT's in the last 2 minutes. I immediately assumed "JINX". Then Livers nailed the FT's. Then I was disappointed in myself for allowing superstition to control my emotions.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:13 PM ^
Great games by Livers and Wagner. Never let Purdue really get back in it after halftime.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:20 PM ^
Exactly, I kept saying to myself that 10, 11, 12, 13 minutes had gone by and they hadn't made up a point on us.
This team is getting it together at the right time, just like under Beilein, looks like Juwan can recruit and coach.
Great job all around by everyone!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:14 PM ^
Just hope Eli is okay. Cant ever seem to have the whole team at 100%
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:19 PM ^
Looked like a broken nose to my eyes. Those suck (and the repair is 15 seconds of agony, whether you reset it yourself or a medical professional does it) but only for awhile. He may be back with a mask by next game.
February 22nd, 2020 at 5:15 PM ^
Didn't he wear a mask for a stretch of games his freshman year? I seem to recall that being the case. Back when he was starting over Simpson.
February 22nd, 2020 at 5:20 PM ^
He'll be okay.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:14 PM ^
How about Franz?!? His most complete game of the year - lost in the 22pts was disruptive defense and rebounding
February 22nd, 2020 at 5:04 PM ^
Franz is just always around the ball, especially on the defensive end. If he's really rediscovered his shot, watch out for this team. Hell, watch out for them anyway.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:14 PM ^
Party like it’s 2014.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:25 PM ^
Although that was a great year and if we had Mitch that year I think we woulda won it all.
With that being said, I'd rather party like it's 1989!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:36 PM ^
I don't know, my memory of April 1989 partying was getting drunk and somehow hanging out with homeless people on the diag between the remains of the shanty and the Israeli bus.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:16 PM ^
Huge win in an arena where visiting teams have gotten annihilated, good teams too.
Go Blue, let's keep bangin'!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:17 PM ^
Woof. What a disaster of an ending. They even get the stupid tip in to cut the kenpom margin a bit more. Hopefully that’s the worst game Simpson has the rest of the season. And hopefully Brooks is good to go for UW. This team could be so could if they could shoot worth a damn.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:18 PM ^
This is a pos bang, jerk.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:26 PM ^
Let me have my negativity. What else do I have?
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
Wait for football season like everyone else!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:28 PM ^
Haha. Great comment
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:24 PM ^
Lmao you can’t be serious.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:30 PM ^
This is a Michigan board, he's absolutely serious
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:25 PM ^
They won by 8 at Purdue lol. I know we can't be happy unless we're unhappy but damn
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:38 PM ^
Eat my mudpie you downer.
February 22nd, 2020 at 7:54 PM ^
Day drinking is a bitch
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:17 PM ^
Hail Howard!! He’s already had a successful first season regardless of the outcome of the remaining games! Go Blue!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:26 PM ^
Howard and staff saw something midway through through the first half and exploited it on offense. Really the difference in the game (at least the comfort) was that run.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:33 PM ^
Yep, the 15 points they scored in the final four minutes of the first half to stretch the lead from 4 to 15 was huge. W/o that, this game would have gone a lot differently.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:34 PM ^
Seems to me that Franz shoots better from front of the basket rather than the corner. All his made threes today came from up top.
February 22nd, 2020 at 5:21 PM ^
Come quietly or there will be...trouble.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:17 PM ^
The team looks so much improved lately. Great job everyone!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:17 PM ^
Can I get two claps and a Ric Flair?!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:17 PM ^
That was a really nice win! The first half offensive clinic was saved by the second half defensive clinic. This team is starting to hit on all cylinders pretty consistently. Nobody is going to want them in a tournament.
I can see three wins in the next four pretty easily, and wouldn't be surprised if they take all four. Should beat UW at home Thursday, and at OSU. I think Maryland will be the toughest game of the next four (that's a hard prediction, right? LOL!!)...
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:18 PM ^
This team has a similar trajectory to many of Beilein’s great teams. We’re playing our best ball now. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is a banner year...
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:19 PM ^
It wasn't really that much of a streak (only 3 losses) but a win in Mackey is always awesome. Moving on up!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:19 PM ^
great team win... loved the offense in the 1st half which got a little janky in the second, but did enough on the offense end combined with great defense to maintain a reasonably comfortable win.
Franz looking great now
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:19 PM ^
PSEUDOBANG ME!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:20 PM ^
Fantastic performance - wow!
Michigan played so hard today - they flat wanted it more.
Wagner stepping up, Livers a cold-blooded killer at the line.
Defense was tremendous. Bigs did a great job down low, and they kept Stefanovich contained.
This team is HOT!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:26 PM ^
Teske and Davis did a great job on the defensive end - really everyone did. Go Blue!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:20 PM ^
Getting closer to that double-bye!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:51 PM ^
AKA
BUH-BYE!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:21 PM ^
Fuck Yes!! Huge win. Go Blue!!
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:22 PM ^
...and it was in front of Robbie Hummel, now styled as Viscount Mackey.
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:23 PM ^
Bang bang. Good, solid comfyish win. Defense didn’t give them an inch of room, just relentless.
hail
February 22nd, 2020 at 4:24 PM ^
Just keep moving on up that seeding line. Minus that Maryland game, there is no one left on the schedule that I’d say Michigan shouldn’t beat.
I want that OSU game. I want it really, really bad.
