Big win over the preseason #1 team in the country! The entire country!
February 8th, 2020 at 2:56 PM ^
Speaking of country - Austin Davis is due for some praise. Guy has really stepped up compared to previous seasons.

He really is the key ? for this team
February 8th, 2020 at 2:39 PM ^
Yep. Isaiah's gravity and versatility help us so much.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:39 PM ^
Double post. Darn it.
Edited.
So I guess I might as well post another thought:
I'm getting 2017 and 2018 vibes from this team. I feel that a healthy Michigan team can win the Big Ten Tournament and go very far in the NCAAT.

This Guy Bangs!

Speaking of livers. Anyone seen mine. I don’t wanna say it’s an abusive relationship, but sometimes it just.......

THIS NEW JEFF SIMPSON FELLA HAS A NICE SHOOTING STROKE.

This season feels like the Maverick Morgan year.

The win over Gonzaga was the best win of the season, but this was the biggest win of the season. Bless you, boys.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:20 PM ^
Great team win. Very encouraging to see Teske come alive in the second half. I’m not sure if his issues recently have been about confidence, but it sure seemed like that dunk off the alley pop from Brooks was what made things click for him.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:44 PM ^
It looked like Teske got pushed in the back and should have been a +1.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:20 PM ^
Happy for Juwan getting his first W against staee.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:31 PM ^
He has beaten those green weenies before...though it has been a while.

LIV3RS!
February 8th, 2020 at 2:20 PM ^
Livers makes this team special. Love that kid!
February 8th, 2020 at 2:22 PM ^
It's amazing how much better the team is with Livers playing.
It's eye-opening by what a wide margin he is the best player on the team.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:22 PM ^
Sure does make a big difference. Maybe this team can get on a run later and make a tourney run. The recent last second losses still haunt me though.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:25 PM ^
Anyone heard whether Dejulius will be suspended for that defensive floor slap? Anyway, winnable five games coming up. Let's keep Livers healthy and build momentum for when it matters.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:23 PM ^
Bang me, please! Feels like it's been a while.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:23 PM ^
Come on down Josh Christopher!
February 8th, 2020 at 2:24 PM ^
We now have wins over the Nos. 2, 16, 17 and 21 teams in the country.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:25 PM ^
Michigan wins and now just need to Calvin to best Hope and then this will be a great #rivalrySaturday
February 8th, 2020 at 2:26 PM ^
Yeah how about no
February 8th, 2020 at 2:27 PM ^
But I do expect Calvin to win, unfortunately.
February 8th, 2020 at 3:08 PM ^
We shall see. Calvin’s defense is shaky
February 8th, 2020 at 3:19 PM ^
My expectation is only based on watching last game when Hope couldn’t throw it in the ocean
February 8th, 2020 at 2:38 PM ^
Wife is a Hope grad and the family has season basketball tickets, so I have been to a handful of Hope/Calvin games. Awesome rivalry from two small schools
February 8th, 2020 at 3:09 PM ^
Was even better about 10 years ago when both teams were good . Both teams have fallen off the last few years . Calvin should be back on track in a few years once their new coach gets his guys in. Hope has a good freshmen class
February 8th, 2020 at 3:20 PM ^
10 years ago was when I was there and it was fun

What a great win!

GO BLUE! Great win today!
Also, as mentioned in the game thread, it is hilarious that Izzo is about as tall as JH's waist.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:27 PM ^
Different team with Livers availability, Go Blue, bang me!

What a difference maker! Go Blue!
February 8th, 2020 at 2:30 PM ^
Loved the visual at the end of Juwan reaching down about 4 feet to shake Izzo's hand.
February 8th, 2020 at 7:38 PM ^
He should have patted him on the head.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:31 PM ^
Livers will be a pro... he has an elite shot.
We just made the tourney after this win... and what a difference with him back !
Wagner played a superb game on defense...had a ton of key blocks and steals in first half... didn't score much but don't care.. he was a difference maker... heard the announcer mention his german coach came to Ann Arbor recently...it showed today.... I think Wagner just had a growth spurt mentally.
Jeff :) is our second best three point shooter after Livers... I have total confidence when he shoots it, because he really puts an effort into the shot.
Brooks hit many key shots, as did Johns. Johns plays tough and without him, I'd be concerned.
Davis I hope is ok, and like I said at start of year, we cannot process him next year....don't know how they'll bring all these players in but he plays with a toughness inside along with Johns, that is really needed. Am surprised he passed Castleton who I thought had a nice trajectory early on.
Sanderson needs to work Teske on balance and posture... he seems to lean over and off balance...maybe balance and then take a shot standing on a medicine ball.

Remember yesterday when everyone was all like “no way Michigan wins this game” and then today happened?

All the hand wringing over Howard’s coaching for nothing. This team isn’t especially talented in the first place and their best player was out for at least a month.
Livers finally comes back and he puts up 14 points, a steal, and two blocks. Hopefully we still make the tourney and maybe get past the first round. I’ll be more than happy with that.
Keep the recruiting class together, bring in legit top talent for next year, and that, along with our young talent having some time to develop should bode well for the future of this basketball program.
Great win today for coach Howard and company.
February 8th, 2020 at 2:43 PM ^
It’s night and day this team is just much better with him in the lineup.
If we’re healthy I think we could finish 5-3, 6-2 to finish out the year. Could be better.
@NW - Must Win
Indiana - Must Win
@Rutgers - Tossup
@Purdue - Tossup
Wisconsin - Must Win
@OSU - Lean to Win
Nebraska - Must Win
@Maryland - Probable Loss
We definitely have a chance to get some momentum and finish strong.

You know how when you're reading something in dim light and it's a struggle to see the words, and then someone turns on a big lamp and it's so much better?
That's like this team with Isaiah back.
