Looks like Harbaugh was right... we were close.
A little over a month ago when we were still inconsistent on offense and couldn't put 2 drives together Harbaugh said we were close. We rolled our eyes.
Weeks later he said he liked where we were offensively. We again, rolled our eyes.
Clearly he was seeing things in practice that wasn't translating but was an improvement from what he was seeing before. Nonetheless...it is come along and it's here.
Gattis and his "Speed in Space" is here and Harbaugh is 2-0 with two BEATDOWNS over rivals.
Here's to Harbaugh for staying the course and giving us even a liiittle hope that we can pull off an signature win in two weeks.
Anyway, Harbaugh was right...now let's keep it going!

Does anyone else feel like we would beat Wisconsin and Penn State if we played either of those teams next week?
We look like a completely different football team.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:23 PM ^
I do.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:11 PM ^
Michigan plays better at home than away. We always wonder why this team comes out of the gate so slow on the road. Seems like D has more breakdowns on the road. Happy with today & trend of this team, but the home vs. road with Harbaugh teams (especially this year) is very real. Lets see how we do next week at IU.
November 16th, 2019 at 10:50 PM ^
All I'm saying is you gotta be glad OSU is coming up here vs vice-versa
November 17th, 2019 at 7:28 AM ^
They put that stat up during the game that Harbaugh is undefeated at home against everyone except 4 losses to MSU and OSU. I knee that, but seeing the numbers was quite striking. Also, these ad banners and pop ups are killing me.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:26 PM ^
Said this in another thread. I’d take either of them right now and like Michigan’s chances.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:30 PM ^
We would have beaten PSU right then if it had been on a neutral field. Home cooking early on had a lot to do with our deficit.
If we were to play them now I'd like our chances bigtime.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:04 PM ^
I’m still bitter about the no PI on PSU’s first TD, the no call PI on 4th leading to a PSU TD and the bullshit OPI on Collins which leads to an INT which leads to a PSU TD. If refs are halfway decent, Michigan wins 28-14.
November 17th, 2019 at 1:07 AM ^
When the season is over, we may very well lament that first half more than anything else.
November 17th, 2019 at 6:54 AM ^
and JT was short. More bitterness.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:31 PM ^
At home, we've got a chance over any team. The real test will be next week against Indiana.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:36 PM ^
Penn State we should've won. Wisconsin is a different story. At the time Wisconsin was playing record breaking defense. Taylor also had like 100 yards rushing in 1Q and Coan was on target
Wisconsin has regressed quite a bit so its irrelevant to ask the question if we would beat them if we played next week. Theyre a much weaker team right now
November 16th, 2019 at 8:53 PM ^
Wisconsin regressing does not make the question irrelevant.
November 16th, 2019 at 10:46 PM ^
No, the fact that we lost to them in real life, when it mattered, makes the question irrelevant.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:51 PM ^
Chryst and company called a near perfect game against Michigan. They earned the win. They are really big and they know how to use their size. I like Michigan at home but the outcome is anyone's guess. About the game in September, If Michigan scores on their first drive the 7-7 score may have put some choke in Wisconsin
November 16th, 2019 at 11:39 PM ^
I believe Wisconsin is 8-2 as well with a loss at Columbus. Hardly regressing
November 16th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
Yes although road game caveats apply
November 16th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
100%, would beat them both on their field
November 16th, 2019 at 9:33 PM ^
Neutral field, absolutely. On the road, would still be tough.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:56 PM ^
I definitely think so. My only gripe is that the team doesn’t seem to come out with fire. But they do gain it as the the game goes on which is awesome. I would just like to see them come out swinging a bit more, but I’m probably just greedy.
November 16th, 2019 at 10:31 PM ^
We were good enough to beat Penn State when we played them. Those fukn refs. . .
November 17th, 2019 at 7:22 AM ^
At this point, I hope the B1G gets shut out of the playoffs. It serves them right for putting an officiating thumb on the scale at PSU to try and preserve another undefeated team.
November 16th, 2019 at 10:33 PM ^
We suck on the road, so no. We're in for a war at Indiana
November 16th, 2019 at 10:42 PM ^
Does anyone think that it matters? Until Harbaugh's teams stop playing half games and half seasons, they'll never win anything important.
November 17th, 2019 at 9:04 AM ^
You come across as a very miserable person. Can't even enjoy a 34 point rivalry win for 5 minutes .
November 16th, 2019 at 11:08 PM ^
I absolutely agree that we would beat both Wisconsin and Penn State.
But right now we are not beating OSU. The offense is improving, but there is still a pretty significant gap.
November 16th, 2019 at 11:09 PM ^
Literally had this exact thought 20 min ago. This is the first time I’ve been to the blog since the game ended
November 16th, 2019 at 11:14 PM ^
easy yes
November 16th, 2019 at 11:59 PM ^
Exactly how Penn State felt in 2016.
November 17th, 2019 at 12:24 AM ^
I think it’s a different outcome at Penn State if the pass interference on 4th & 3 is called in the first half.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:23 PM ^
He was right. Unfortunately it came a little too late for any sort of hardware this year, but hopefully next year with McCaffrey at QB and guys like Bell, Black (maybe), Sainristil, Jackson etc. we can have a prolific offense next season.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:32 PM ^
If Tarik leaves it would be as a transfer. No way that he gets drafted yet, not enough production.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:12 PM ^
He’s been disappointing this year. Part of it is on him, but he also seems to have had some bad luck being the victim of uncalled pass interference. It would be great to have him next year.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:34 PM ^
Also Haskins, Charbonnet, and Chris Evans coming back. (Thought he regained his academic elligibility?)
November 17th, 2019 at 12:04 AM ^
He's eligible starting winter semester, which doesn't start till January
November 16th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
No one's going to draft Tarik Black. Would you?
I'm looking forward to Cornelius Johnson also, maybe more than all the guys you listed. One things for sure, Giles Jackson is FAST! He can get the corner on end arounds.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:42 PM ^
If Tarik says, along with the aforementioned, we will be 'speedier' in space than this season! DPJ may stick around as well!
November 16th, 2019 at 8:52 PM ^
DPJ is son of superman. I am not expecting him back.
November 16th, 2019 at 10:55 PM ^
DPJ should go pro. He looks the part and I’m sure he’ll have the combine numbers to back it up. He’s a beast and he’s been showing it when given the chance this year.
November 17th, 2019 at 4:23 AM ^
Would love to see DPJ come back for a Harbaugh-charged Heisman campaign. With #speedinspace clicking from week 1 it could be electric.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:23 PM ^
Not too prideful to agree with you, we are a completely different team today than a month ago.
November 16th, 2019 at 11:15 PM ^
Urban said today they’re not running a spread anymore it’s a hybrid of power and spread and it’s why we look better.
November 17th, 2019 at 12:09 AM ^
And at least today he was wrong. The team was as spread as it's been today. RPOs and air raid concepts out the ass. Tempo was also faster.
November 17th, 2019 at 12:11 AM ^
And on top of that, fuck that smarmy green tie wearing piece of shit. I hope he ends up at USC and guts Ohio State's staff.
November 17th, 2019 at 10:13 AM ^
I don’t know how Charles can sit next to that slime ball
November 16th, 2019 at 8:25 PM ^
So much of this is not turning the ball over. They're a completely different team right now.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:27 PM ^
Crickets from bpone world.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:35 PM ^
I'm sure there was plenty of it in the game thread during the first quarter.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
It was still happening in the third quarter. People just have to bitch.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:14 PM ^
Which is why I try to avoid those threads. Nothing good can come of it.
