Mrs. Pico here. I’m a physical therapist. It’s not uncommon for sprains to take 6-8 weeks to heal.  Depending on the severity and which ligaments were involved it can take longer. It also may take longer to get your strength and stability back.  Your comment about feeling unsteady is my primary concern.  You probably need some strengthening.  You can start with basic ankle circles and ankle pumps.  If anything causes a significant increase in pain and/or swelling have it checked out by a physician.  It might not hurt to have a couple of visits with a physical therapist to get set up on a home exercise program specifically designed for your injury and situation.  Please- no scalding hot water- ice (for 10-15 minutes once per day) is a much better option to control inflammation.

1. Dr No. It's almost campy now, but iconic, and Ursula Andress is still the best Bond girl. Skyfall if you require new things.

2. Mike Eruzione, from Winthrop, Massachusetts. He plays for the United States of America.

3. Max Cady from Cape Fear.

4. The hokey pokey might as well be what it's all about. Everything else is ultimately just as stupid and less fun. As Chuckles the Clown once said,"A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down the pants. That's life."

I hate to think this, but we…

I hate to think this, but we might not be at rock bottom yet.

No, and no.

 I couldn’t…

No, and no.

I couldn’t care less about the Chargers and Jim has chosen to no longer be our coach. I am thankful for what he did for our football program but I feel for his family getting jerked around by his ego.

He was not run out of Ann Arbor by anyone but himself. And I have become tired of defending his odd behavior.

Go Blue.

I was a senior living a block from South U for the basketball win in 1989. That was insane. I can’t imagine this.

He’s not drunk enough yet.

He’s not drunk enough yet.

Keep working, Rich!

Go Blue!!!!!!

You are probably right about…

You are probably right about the big picture; time will tell. However, at this particular moment the fact that OSU laid an egg, however it happened, is a beautiful thing we can all celebrate.

Mizzou kid just noted they had no opt-outs. One team wanted to be there, and I salute those kids.

Best: 1989 beating USC…

Best: 1989 beating USC. Senior year, I was there, the weather was beautiful, Rose Bowl beer was cheap, and we shut up a whole lot of mouthy USC fans. I was NOT sportsmanlike to them after we won. I still have a rose I picked  outside the stadium pressed in a book.

Worst: All Michigan bowl losses have merged into one giant sad blob. I don’t care to go sifting through the blob any longer. It’s all the same.

Thanks for not revealing the…

Thanks for not revealing the outcome earlier. I wouldn’t have had nearly as much to drink or as much fun had I known we’d win.

Um, no.

Great game planning…

Um, no.

Great game planning, great execution, a little luck, tip of the hat to them. They did everything right. Congratulate them.

This is my answer as well…

This is my answer as well. In my nightmares of it we are playing a really deep prevent defense with the safeties facing the wrong way. It was really, really bad.

The OSU game in Columbus that year and the Rose Bowl against USC made up for it.

This is the way to watch…

This is the way to watch World Cup matches if you're interested but not a fanatic.

I have not used it for The Game. That I have rewatched in its entirety twice. For that, B1G in 60 or whatever they call it is great.

Is there a way we can help…

Is there a way we can help you get over this infatuation?

The points are not redeemable. It's irrelevant. Relax.

Sincerely,

A guy who clearly doesn't care about points and what anybody else does with them.

Let's just figure he draws a…

Let's just figure he draws a lot from that experience and we come out stomping Illini dudes into paste.

Is anyone else having…

Is anyone else having flashbacks to the 1986 game against Minnesota? That's the only game I skipped attending as a student, and we blew it in similar circumstances with one of the best Michigan teams of that era. Pretending to study in Couzens listening to the radio while Rickey Foggie ran circles around us.....damn you, Foggie.

Someone please talk me down. Argh.

Also, I'm always wrong. Ask my wife.

Michigan 27-17.

Well, I agree. If we can't…

Well, I agree. If we can't apply some sort of emotional control to the aftermath of events like this, we shouldn't be surprised that they happen in the first place.

Had Juwan been charged, I…

Had Juwan been charged, I would wager that most of us would have shrugged and accepted it. He smacked a dude, not on the field of play, and it wasn't consensual. So, yeah, he's just lucky that didn't happen.

Football:

UM, MSU, OSU,…

Football:

UM, MSU, OSU, Iowa, Nebraska, Rose Bowl. We have the best building of all of those. Nebraska has the best crowd. I have inexplicably never been hassled in Columbus.

Basketball: Crisler, Jenison (which was a great basketball barn), OSU St. John Arena (also a good barn), Nebraska. All of those were better than Crisler. Yes, even Nebraska. Pinnacle Bank is a better building.

Man, I don’t remember at…

Man, I don’t remember at this point.

It was 12 years old and rye, because everything else triggers a migraine.

And a Heineken and maybe a Coors banquet beer because my Thor-sized son likes utility beer.
Good god it’s wonderful to be alive.

I like the cut of your jib…

I like the cut of your jib. It's that kind of positivity that built this country into the economic powerhouse it is. Strong men and women all over this land waking up each morning to greet the day with a hearty,"I can't do it."

Good for you.

The courage you've shown…

The courage you've shown here is exemplary.

I will wager you an unused cooler on the season series in hockey.

And basketball.

That is a Nebraska shirt…

That is a Nebraska shirt. Since they joined the Big Ten, Nebraska and Iowa have come to really hate each other. It's like a maize and blue Worst State Ever shirt with a corn theme.

Hot dogs. Bright red hot…

Hot dogs. Bright red hot dogs. And that thing can really fire a hot dog. More of a cannon than a schlinger.

Of course it is. This is…

Of course it is. This is what makes Wolverines insufferable.

It's really more a matter of vocabulary than semantics anyway.

Now we're having fun.

You've inspired me to…

You've inspired me to continue drinking. Mrs. Pico will be so pleased.

Incorrect.

Incorrect.

That's going way too easy on…

That's going way too easy on Penn State.

My kid's summer travel…

My kid's summer travel hockey team was the Nebraska Bugeaters. They find it weird and entertaining out here, too.

Nebraska AD would have made himself into a folk hero if he had simply questioned aloud, repeatedly, why the strongest football program in the league is consistently handed the easiest schedule, and left it at that.  Let Kevin explain.

I would love this. LSU fans…

I would love this. LSU fans are crazy fun.

Fear not, last year's LSU juggernaut will not be repeated forever.

That's one unsourced fact…

That's one unsourced fact and three assertions, including calling people liars. That's no way to have a discussion.

And yep, I'm an immigrant (legal), too.

Seeing Michigan's pitchers…

Seeing Michigan's pitchers befriend my twelve year old Michigan crazy son at both the Big Ten tournament and the CWS was something I won't forget. Tossing him baseballs, taking pictures after games, just stopping to shoot the shit -- If you're proud of what they accomplished on the diamond this year, you can be a lot prouder of how they conduct themselves as student athletes (that's a real thing for most sports).

When my son completely lost it after the final out of the CWS final, despite being bummed as hell half a dozen players (Tommy Henry, Isaiah Page, and Joe Pace come to mind) stopped what they were doing to come over to the railing and console him. Joe Pace spent a fair amount of time talking him down off the ledge and giving the kid a pep talk.

That's the kind of stuff sports are supposed to teach us. That made me prouder to be a Michigan grad and fan than any football anything this year.

GA should be little problem…

GA should be little problem by Friday.  At least a couple fan bases will have gone home and plenty of the locals will be beer-soaked and burned out. The ease of that situation will reverse for the championship.

You can park on the street 2-3-4 blocks SW of the stadium at 10 hour meters at 25 cents an hour. It's cheaper and easier in and out than anything else.

If you can't find a GA (local supermarkets have them) check back in and I can give you a couple.

Welcome to Omaha, assuming you're coming from Wichita or elsewhere.
