How many Big Ten stadiums and Big Ten arenas have you been to?

Submitted by ThadMattasagoblin on August 4th, 2022 at 11:36 AM

I've been to 13 Big Ten Football stadiums and 5 Big Ten basketball arenas. How many have you been to?  For football, I am missing Ohio State. For basketball, I have been to Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, and Wisconsin.

Football (12) - all current x Rutgers & Nebraska.  13 if you include UCLA (for an actual UCLA home game, not the Rose Bowl).

Basketball (4) - PSU, U-M, MSU, OSU only.  5 including UCLA, I hit Pauley in February.

Not many:

Football: Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Rutgers, saw a Rose Bowl game (does that count?)

Basketball: Wisconsin, Maryland, saw a Clippers game at where USC plays (does that count?)

Everything except Nebraska, Rutgers, and Maryland. Played in every baseball stadium other than those 3 except most of the stadiums have been replaced or upgraded since I was last there.

Only Michigan unfortunately. I'll actually be driving through Iowa around the date of the game and was thinking about going. Hotel price discussion sucked but I could stay further away and work it into my road trip. I have no idea about buying a road ticket though. Guess I'll check out stubhub and all that. Never used that site but seems like such a ripoff. I could just go for a scalped ticket and if it's too rich for my blood just watch the game at a bar. Also doesn't help that we won't know what time until game week. That really affects my planning. Need to be in Boulder CO by that Sunday night so that could be tough. Ideally it'd be noon and I take off after.

Not too many.

Only Michigan, msu, Illinois, and Northwestern for football.

Michigan, Illinois, Northwestern basketball arenas (although NW was for volleyball, but I'm still counting it).

Also was at Lucas Oil for the Elite 8 game against Kentucky.

Grew up in Atlanta and have been to GT (Grant Field/Bobby Dodd Stadium and Alexander Memorial Coliseum or whatever they're called now) and UGA (Sanford Stadium).

Football:  Michigan, MSU, IU, Purdue, Illinois. Bonus: Notre Dame, also for a hockey game.

Basketball:  MSU, IU. Ironically I've never seen a game in Crisler.

Big House

Rutgers Costco-for-a-buck Crapwagon

Maryland Stadium

Seen Bball in Brooklyn about 10 years ago

Seen Bball beat Purdue, then beat Wisky for the B10 title in the airplane disaster year! DC

Never had any interest in going to away stadiums - only go to MD and Rut because they are relatively local. Footprint FTW!!!!!

Primarily football - Michigan, Ohio State, MSU, PSU, Noerthwestern, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Illinois.

I’ve also been to Minnesota, Iowa, and Indiana - but not on home game days.

Oh, I almost forgot, Lucas Oil in Indy for the most recent B1G Championship Game.

For football I’ve been to Michigan, MSU, Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue, Northwestern, and the Rose Bowl (against WSU though, not UCLA). Also been to future member ND.

Basketball I’ve just been to UM and MSU.

Football: Maryland (FSU game in 2000), Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, OSU (Loudest outdoor stadium I've ever been in) and Wisconsin. I also went to ND in 1998 when that counts. If bowl games count, I've been to the Rose Bowl three times (2x for Michigan and 1x for Iowa vs Washington).

Basketball: Only on campus venue was Michigan. Been to Rupp Arena twice for the Sweet 16/Elite 8 (1989 and 1992) and the Palace for a game against Arizona in 1997. On the flip side, I went to MCI Center in DC to see Maryland curbstomp an Ellerbe-led Michigan team.

Been to Michigan, OSU, and Northwestern for football games. Went to LA Coliseum this past April for a conference so does that technically count yet?

Out of conference, I've seen two games at Sanford Stadium (Georgia, great place to see a game), caught the 2019 Red River Rivalry in Dallas, and seen two Army-Navy games.

Basketball, its just Michigan and OSU

Would love to go see games at Camp Randall, Beaver, and Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Everywhere else I'm kinda meh about, outside of maybe Iowa. Never want to see a game in the toxic landfill dump that is Spartan Stadium. Would rather spend my Saturday getting a root canal.

Rutgers and Minnesota are the only 2 football stadiums I still need to attend. Doing Rutgers in November.  Basketball I still need Nebraska, Minnesota, PSU, Rutgers and Maryland...Damn I'm slacking.

Iowa, PSU, MSU, Minny, Indiana, Illinois, NW, Wisky.

Best total experience: Iowa, PSU

Worst: MSU, Illinois

Sleeper: Indiana

Overhyped: Wisconsin

I will never go to Columbus.

Sadly only the MSU stadiums.  Every year I want to change that but it's tough even to get to Ann Arbor with kids of all ages.

Edit: and I've been to all the Michigan stadiums .  Thought that was a given with this board.

For football and basketball, just two- Michigan Stadium, Chrysler Arena, Spartan Stadium, and the Breslin Center. I just drove by Camp Randall Stadium a couple months ago on my way to audition for the Madison Symphony, but I didn't make it inside

For performing arts, at UofM- I've been to and performed in Hill Auditorium, the Power Center, Rackham Auditorium, the Stamps Auditorium at the Walgreen Drama Center, Britton Recital Hall, McIntosh Recital Hall, as well as the Kerrytown Concert House and the Michigan Theater. At MSU, I've played in the Wharton Center, Fairchild Theater, and Cook Recital Hall. I've also played at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall at Northwestern, and at Penn State's Eisenhower Auditorium.

Your name pays odd homage to an osu bball coach - yet you have been to the football stadium of the other 13 stadiums in the B1G that span across the country, but not the horseshoe.  This is curious.

I've been to 10 Big Ten football stadiums: Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State, and Purdue. I've also been to Notre Dame and Lucas Oil for the inaugural B1G title game.

For basketball, I've been to Crisler and Tulane's arena (my uncle used to live in NO), and randomly a Notre Dame women's game at the Joyce Center. I've also attended the B1G Tournament at Conseco/Bankers Life/Whatever It's Called Now Fieldhouse.

Been in and at Michigan Stadium a lot, like every time I am in A2 a lot.  Avogadro's number a lot. I went to Ohio Stadium once, since it appeared to be purpose-built for an imminent Taco Bell reckoning. That's it.

Edit: Also Breslin for the Michigan bar exam. I think I tried to find an open gate at Spartan Stadium a couple of times.

For football, only the big house. and for a basketball game, only Crisler. Also got to go to a couple of practices during the 88-89 season (my dad knew people) and i also went to Fishers camp in the summer of 95...

now i have been in the old Jenison Fieldhouse for basketball came when i was in the 6th or 7th grade. My grade school teacher at the time was a state alum and got us the sign up forms for camps at state. 2 kids went to the baseball camp and i was the only one that went to the basketball camp. when we were done with camp for the day and had to back to the dorm i would always stop at Munn to watch the hockey camp and to cool down because Jenison didn't have AC and it was in the mid 90's everyday...

I've only been to Michigan Stadium and Crisler Arena.  Traveling to away games has never been my thing.  I did attend the 1998 Rose Bowl national championship game but that doesn't count in this thread.
