It was a stinky anniversary on Tuesday, as 19 years ago, the Dave Matthews Band tour bus dumped 800 pounds of human waste on a river cruise that was passing under the Kinzie Street Bridge.
Boat passengers on the architectural tour reported ruined clothes and several cases of illness.

I'm fairly agnostic about the music itself, it's fine, whatever, I don't really get the love they get from so many people. All I know is that the corniest dudes I went to high school with were the biggest fans of DMB, and that's always colored my view.

Before these Crowded Streets is a masterpiece and they are truly great live. You are taking the hipster “all DMB sucks” mantra, which is total bullshit, and only because of their perceived all frat boy fanbase.
Also, isn’t it ironic, that Alanis Morrisette just happens to be a guest vocalist on the final track on Before These Crowded Streets.

Before These Crowded Streets is one of those you need to hear it in a non-compressed file format or vinyl, and with headphones on to hear every hidden nuance. It almost has a Dark Side Of The Moon quality with its flow. Bela Fleck has his guest appearance fingerprints all over it, especially in some those “in between” jams, Carter’s amazing beats, great lyrically, great bass lines, great rhythm guitar, Leroy Moore chasing down every melody, and it takes you through every emotion, joy, playfulness, pain, almost haunting at times, and even into an etheral place. It just awesome.
okay, I’m done needing out about that album. Just amazing though.

Agree with this. I saw them 7 or 8 times when I was dating someone 10 years younger than me including at Wrigley and Alpine Valley. Always a great time. Carter is great on drums. Worth it just for him.

I’ll be honest, I love Harbaugh because he’s a great coach and I believe he’s a genuine/honest person, but never really cared for his quirks. However, I started wearing company polos to work 2-3 days a week because of him; it makes my mornings so much more efficient not giving a shit about deciding what to wear.
