So we’re going to have three…

So we’re going to have three RBs on the field at one time?  That sounds like a winner for sure.  I hope Harbaugh doesn’t forget about the importance of a two tight end set.

Everyone can agree the…

Everyone can agree the Nebraska model is THE way not to do it.

OSU’s tackles are NFL ready…

OSU’s tackles are NFL ready. In fact so good that one dude 6’8” 380 (and athletic) now the starting right tackle resulted in last year’s starter moving to right guard. This dude Mundford, will also be in the NFL. Geez

Sorry to have to tell you…

Sorry to have to tell you this @jmblue, Sparty was better this weekend (and they were better this week last year).  They won because they played with greater intensity for 60 minutes. Tucker has his team living the “Relentless” theme.

All read option (mesh point…

All read option (mesh point decisions) are the QB’s fault…he decides at that point what happens to the ball. The replay showed it.

Umm, what universe do you…

Umm, what universe do you reside in?  This isn’t about ONE football game.

3-9 vs rivals

2-9 vs ranked opponents on the road

0-6 vs AP top 10

1-4 in bowl games

Zero Big 10 Championships

Zero East Division Championships

Which of the above stats looks like success to you? Geez…

MSU is 48 hours away from…

MSU is 48 hours away from being ranked in the top 5 (perhaps top 4) of the CFB playoff rankings.  If Mel Tucker had the recruits UM has brought in over the past five recruiting cycles this game wouldn’t have been in jeopardy for them. Jim Harbaugh cannot get his teams ready (prepared) to win important games. This fact (based on his record over the past 6+ years) slaps you in the face.

If you don’t think Harbaugh…

If you don’t think Harbaugh owns this loss you don’t understand how this sport works.

Sorry…The man is not being…

Sorry…The man is not being paid $5mm a year to lose these type of games.

JH had the “hang a hundred…

JH had the “hang a hundred on ‘em” comment coming to him based on the BS rules violation he brought up. The thing is they probably would have made it a reality had the game been played last year with Fields at QB and the WR room Hartline has assembled, not to mention that stud RB transfer from OU; I mean look what they did to a pretty good Clemson team.  I think OSU absolutely respects us which is why they take preparation for ‘the game’ so seriously.  To win we have to prepare 364 and play lights out on day 365, nothing else will make a difference.

One can’t seriously believe…

One can’t seriously believe that a single “bad call” near the end of the 2016 ‘Game’ would have altered the current trajectory of UM football.  Besides, that call didn’t end the game; we had another chance to stop them on the next set of downs from the 15, and instead our great D allows Samuel to waltz into the end zone on the very next play - untouched.  Also look at the stats, they had greater total yards, 1st downs, and most importantly T/O margin. I suggest this last stat was the real deciding factor in this game. Also, we had like 5 yards of offense in the 4th quarter?  Just hold onto the ball longer and we win.  Can’t make these type of mistakes against a team with elite talent and coaching and expect to win.  Fast forward to 2017…

We have good if not great on field talent.  The difference is preparation, play calling (both sides of the ball), and execution, and all of this rests with the coaching staff and specifically, the HC.  The only chance we have to win ‘the game’ is to improve in these key areas and that ain’t going to happen with JH calling the shots.

Few on this entire blog talk like we have even the slightest chance to win against OSU and JH doesn’t believe it either.  We can win 9-10 every year but that won’t be good enough to win a B1G East division much less the elusive conference title.  Let’s see what happens…

That’s great, perhaps JH can…

That’s great, perhaps JH can help us lead the nation in apparel sales.

Similar to the predicament…

Similar to the predicament now facing Nebraska, we are seeing one of the risks play out of hiring a “favorite son” to resurrect a storied program. If for whatever reason it doesn’t work out the “divorce” is more painful and difficult to carry out, and the tendency is to “give him one more year.”

Getting bitch slapped by…

Getting bitch slapped by your rival over and over again will do that to you.

Step back and look at how bad we are.  He has lost the locker room and that’s why he can’t stay another moment.

Really? 1 awful year? A 23…

Really? 1 awful year? A 23 point beat down by OSU in 2018 (revenge tour), and a 29 point loss at HOME the following year? We aren’t competitive in the came that matters the most!  Look at history, this is what happened to John Cooper when the shoe was on the other foot. At the time he said the Mich game was “just another game.” The biggest single thing that changed was in 2001 when Tressel made “the Game” the focal part of the season, and Meyer took that to the next level.  Nothing has been the same since.

Let’s face it folks, this is…

Let’s face it folks, this is a pride issue.  He will not resign and the University doesn’t appear to want to release him.  Each side waits for JH to get an offer from an NFL club...guess what, no such offer is coming...meanwhile we will miss the window to recruit a new leader for the program.  Does anyone believe JH can change the current trajectory of this program?  A week ago JH said, “we’re close to turning the corner,” and this week he said he doesn’t know what is wrong, they they need to go back and focus on the basics.  This program has become the joke of CFB.

Dude... not a good…

Dude... not a good comparison...Muschamp competes in the SEC...where the level of conference competition is significantly greater...look at the facts...we were taken to the woodshed by them when we - at least on paper - had a significant talent advantage...wake up and smell the coffee...the ONLY meaningful win in Harbaugh’s UM tenure is ND last year...Muschamp was fired because there is no chance he can beat his in-state rival...whereas the previous Head Ball Coach owned that rival...we’ve split with our in-state rival (who could never compete in the SEC, refer to CFP 2015), and no one on the planet...not even our greatest homey DH21, believes we can beat our real rival with the current leadership...let’s face it, the real issue is the fear that if JH can’t get it done who can?

And this issue sits at the…

And this issue sits at the feet of one James Harbaugh.

I think I can simplify this…

I think I can simplify this discussion.  OSU has consistently recruited at a higher level over the past nearly 20 years.  Consistent recruiting is 70% of the winning equation.  We have been slow to adapt to the new era of CFB, e.g., For his first three years Harbaugh deployed a two tight end offense with a fullback just like Bo did a half century ago.  CFB has changed and we have been slow to adapt...
