EDIT:  Tickets have been sold to a Wolverine

I have a pair of tickets for the OSU game: Section 40 Row 83 Seats 35 and 36.  I have paper tickets if you'd like so you wouldn't have to worry about a phone connectivity glitch causing a problem.  I could put them online, but I'd rather not enable any more buckeyes to invade the stadium.  But Mama needs money for student loans.

Email [email protected] if interested.

I didn't see that anything…

I didn't see that anything happened specifically but Leigha spent most of the first half on the bench with a huge ice pack on her lower leg.  I hope it’s a short term thing because losing both her and Dilk will be a problem, no matter how good Naz Hillmon is.   Has anyone heard anything about Dilk’s injury?

Always good to see a blowout, but boy was St. Francis embarrassingly overmatched.  It was nice to see all our players get some significant playing time.

IUPUI was the unanimous pick…

IUPUI was the unanimous pick to win their conference.

M looked shaky at times, and just as they’d start to build a lead they’d go cold.  They lost Amy Dilk in the first minute of the game.  She grabbed a rebound and something went very wrong with her knee when she came down.  Her leg was stabilized and she was brought into the locker room and did not return.  I hope she’ll be ok, but it looked bad.

Keep in mind that there is…

Keep in mind that there is construction on 275 right now.  They’re encouraging airport traffic to use 94/Middlebelt rather than 275/Eureka, so you may have to alter your usual route if you go that way.

So excited to see them win…

So excited to see them win in another blowout, this time on the road to a ranked team.  Leigha Brown really has added another element and Naz is consistently great.  I hope they get everyone back soon.  I love watching Maddie Nolan play.  She's a bulldog.

Go Blue!

So we are doomed until about…

So we are doomed until about 2029, then?

Wisconsin is not a good team…

Wisconsin is not a good team, but a 43 point blowout of a conference opponent is really impressive.  The women have been blowing out teams so far this season, with the exception of Notre Dame but I think even that was a double digit win.  I so wish more games were televised since I can't go to them in person this year.  The team seems to be getting better year to year and it's exciting to follow.

Can’t wait for Army-Navy.  I watch it every year.  It’s the one non-Michigan game I would love to attend and hopefully I can someday.

Thanks for this.  WBB has been on the upswing the last couple of years.  I am so disappointed I can’t attend the games this year (this is the first year I purchased season tickets).  I look forward to more coverage of the team.

What is the problem with our…

What is the problem with our field goal kickers? Moody was 0-3 against Minnesota and Nordin went 0-3 last night.  That’s ridiculous.  Are they doing well in practice only to choke on game day, or are they inaccurate all the time?  Are the long snapper and/or holder doing something wrong?

This is pathetic.  They’re not even trying.  Harbaugh should have faked some covid positive tests just to avoid losing to Rutgers.

I think it does just shine a spotlight on the team’s deficiencies. In the past there has been a good chunk of the schedule Michigan could simply out-talent.  Attrition, opt-outs, and injuries mean we can’t do that this year.  And recruiting hasn’t been at the level where it can be “next man up”. Combine that with poor preparation and coaching and you have a recipe for disaster.

Hail Denard!

He was so much fun to watch.  He also seemed like a really great guy on and off the field.  I'd love to have a Denard 2.0 at Michigan.  We need a player who is fun to watch again.  I don't think we've had that since Peppers.

Good for her!  I love watching her play.

The ladies are really starting to go places.  Their games are fun to see. I bought season tickets for this year and I am so disappointed that I won’t be able to use them due to the plague.

If the pandemic ever gets under control, I highly recommend going to see them play.  They’re good and getting better.  Plus, tickets are cheap and parking is free so people can actually afford to take the whole family.

Son of a bitch.  Ineffective D-line + bad secondary + bad coaching and game planning  = another ugly loss.

I was hoping for a cancellation, just to avoid a beatdown.  And here I just ordered some UM facemasks from the MDen.  I'm going to be too ashamed to wear them in public.

Yikes.

They looked competent against Minnesota.  I know Minnesota isn't very good, but Michigan did well running and passing and Milton looked comfortable in the offense.  WTH happened between then and now?  It's all a flaming hot mess.

I have a Malibu, bought during the unfortunate RichRod years. It's rolling up the miles and fortunately, hasn’t needed any defense. And it’s dark blue.  Really spruces up my carport.

This is a great article,…

This is a great article, with such an important message about depression.  It’s such a complex condition.
I feel so sad for this kid. I have depression and have been in the dark depths where it feels like there is no other way out.  I have attempted suicide and very nearly checked out earlier this year (I was set to go and had even laid out the clothes to bury me in).  I wish there was a magic wand or pill that could solve this.

It seems like there is a better dialogue than there used to be, which is great.  I wish there wasn’t such a long way to go, but maybe it won’t take as long as I think.  Articles like this, and dialogues like this, can only help.

I was in the marching band…

I was in the marching band then and definitely remember that game. We were out in that weather far longer than just the game, with early morning rehearsal and pregame and postgame shows. It sucked.

1991 Michigan vs Northwestern. I had been a fan for several years (i was a sophomore in high school in ‘91) and was SO excited to see a game in person. I remember that feeling of awe when stepping into the Big House for the first time.  It was a cold gray day but it was amazing and I had such a good time.

Unfortunately, it got even uglier.  The Rock did not play well at all.

I really want to go to this game someday.  It's one of the best games all season.

Thank you for all your kind…

Thank you for all your kind words.  I miss my Leo something awful.  I'm on disability, so my pets are my constant companions, and losing one feels like my insides getting scraped out.  My whole world changes.  And Leo was such a Mama's boy.  He'd follow me around for pets and attention.  Lily is a little more aloof (especially since Leo died) so I'm really missing that.

I'm not sure when I'll get another bunny.  It kind of depends on how Lily does on her own.  If she's struggling, then I'll get her a friend whether I'm ready for it or not.  (Sometimes with a bonded pair, the surviving one can get really depressed and even pass away shortly after their friend.)  Otherwise it might just be us girls for awhile.

My condolences to all of you who have lost a beloved pet.  It hurts far more than one expects.

Rabbits are really…

Rabbits are really underrated pets.  When I got my first one, I thought he'd just sit around, look cute, and poop.  And yes, he did look cute and poop (in his litter box), but he was way more fun than I ever imagined.  I had no idea how smart and interactive and playful rabbits are.  They certainly do bring a lot of love and joy.  No matter how down I feel, I can always count on my bunnies to make me laugh and smile.

Why would that be a joke?  I know when he passed.  I felt when he wasn't breathing anymore.  And I did love him immensely and told him one last time.

Thank you for this post.  As someone with mental health issues, I know how hard it is to reach out for help, even as a woman.  But I do agree that the stigma for men is greater.  The partial hospitalization program I attended was nearly all women, and we speculated that this was due to that stigma.

In addition to the National Suicide Hotline, there is a crisis text line available:  Text HOME to 741741.  I've used it and found it helpful (sometimes it's just easier to text than talk at a difficult moment).

The lack of threat of QB run is a HUGE issue and is definitely kicking the run game.  If Shea would run, and effectively, the rest of the run game could open right up.

After yesterday's performance, coupled with the sloppy performances the previous two games, Michigan should not be ranked at all.

This pains me, but 45-17 Wisconsin.  To win, Michigan needs to be aggressive offensively, and nothing I've seen leads me to believe they will be.  I expect an ultra conservative game plan with a still banged-up QB.

The parking situation is one…

The parking situation is one of the reasons I go to St. Joe's instead.  I liked U of M and my providers there, but it's just way too big.  I've been happy with my providers at St. Joe's as well, and it's much easier to navigate the hospital and specialty centers especially now that I have mobility issues.

Very impressed with Charbonnet.  That blitz pickup he had early on was beautiful.  We may have a star RB for the first time since Mike Hart.   I really liked Turner as well.  They could be a nice 1-2 punch.
