I live in Youngsfown ... YSU grad actually... I actually know Bo and his family fairly well ( I know.. Cool story Bro) .... At the time of his Nebraska "breakup" he had much better offers than YSU ... Supposedly Wisconsin HC and LSU DC to name 2 ..... He wasn't interested ... It was either come home to YSU or step away for a year or 2 ... Saying all that, word on the street is he will stay at YSU until his 2 kids graduate from Cardinal Mooney high school (his alma mater / mine also) ... I believe that is another 3 years after this ... I attend the kickoff event for this camp every year.. This year it's on the 28th... It's a GREAT time seeing all of these coaches/former players/celebrities at the same place interacting (drinking) with all of those in attendance... Will certain,y have my Maize&Blue on this year.. More than likely will have pics/stories to share with all... Go Blue
The game where Bettis ran over Urlacher on the 1 in the snow..... Anyways, post game tailgate outside Heinz... Small lot, cars were jammed and not going anywhere for a solid hour or 2 at best.... Group of 20-30 bears fans (half dressed like Ditka) all start brawling WITH EACHOTHER ... Huge riot going on ... Chicks vs chicks... Dudes vs chicks haha.. Dudes vs dudes.. Etc ... Complete mess.... Best Part #1) They all came together on a charter bus.. So that ride home had to be epic... Bestest Ever Part #2) a very large nearby Steelers fan that was dressed and painted as GOLDDUST got hit accidentally... He proceeds to completely lose his shit and basically clean house of all the ditkas single handedly out of pure rage.... Was absolutely a phenomenal spectacle to witness first hand ..... Zero cops anywhere either.. Making it even more fun
I'm pretty sure there are "limits" to the amount of coaches a staff can have... Does this only apply to GameDay? ... In other words, what do Soup, Will Carr, and the other 2 offensive assistants (names are slipping me) do during the week/GameDay etc? Are they in the booth? Are they apart of Pregame/halftime adjustments? Can they coach the kids up during a game? You get the jist... Anyways, another great hire hat I'm super excited about... Go Blue

Apparently Bo's son wants to attend and graduate from Cardinal Mooney here in Youngstown , Bo's alma mater (mine as well)... I can see this being a great 4-5 year run before he sets his eyes on a big job again... $$ isn't much of an issue obviously.. I think he'll still be collecting around $7mill from the balance of his Nebraska contract ... One interesting fact is Ron Stoops, Bob-Mark-Mike's brother, will most likely remain on this staff... He was on Eric Wolford's staff the last 3-4 years before Wolford was fired 2 weeks ago... The Pelinis and Stoops are very close ... It's gonna be interesting... The official news just broke around 10pm here ... It's already a huge deal

He referred to Jim as a "very odd duck" ... I always found that pretty funny

I'm tellin ya guys... I am very good friends with Jed York.. I went to school with him from Kindergarten-High School.... I still live in the same neighborhood as his parents to this day... I've been soooo tempted to text him during this whole ordeal ... Not sure he'd find the humor in it though haha... He's actually a pretty goofy dude though behind the scenes so ha never know.... Straight from a Michigan Grad to me today... One that played under Lloyd... Close friends with several guys and former players in and around AA... He's been my lifeline on this entire search (of which I've become obsessed) ..... But the offer that was supposedly extended is for 6 years/45mill .... And also approved by the Regents... Not Earth shattering news and nothing far from what we've all heard and discussed, but it's possible news nonetheless.... I hope Jim comes home and if so will be interesting to see if this would be the contract that is signed ..... Go Blue

Another good friend of ours that we also graduated with is a UM Alum... Walk on Fullback under Lloyd... Career ended after back to back knee surgeries... Lloyd let him stay involved with the team as some sort of manager in the weight room (Very cool of him)... My friends and I all went to the Citrus Bowl in '01 to see him while he was still dressing pre injury... Jeff Rich.. Wore #37 I believe
