Welp. So much for Manning being on the staff. If true.

This dude coached Eagles' safeties in 2011 and 12... that's a tirefire we still haven't recovered from.

Hopefully it was personnel, not coaching.

Not necessarily. Unless I missed an announcement in the searchbits, Zordich brings our assistant coach tally to 8, and we're allowed 1 more. Drevno, or Fisch, or Baxter could easily pick up the TE coaching duties instead of hiring a position coach just for that. Manning could share the DLine duty like Hoke and Mattison did and take the DE/OLBs.

For a while there was talk about an OT/TE coach, and an interior OL coach, also. I think it'd be easy for Baxter to handle it, though. He's been a special teams/TE/WR/academic coach for decades now. Unless Fisch would want to coach them himself to coordinate them in his passing game.

Has to be an attempt by Jimmy to get someone on staff with Ohio recruiting chops. After they whiffed on the guy from Kentucky they probably felt like there was a need considering most of the other coaches have their hands in the West and South.

Errr.....what makes this guy qualified?

His coaching experience was with my team (the Eagles), and I've never so much as heard his name before. Also, apparently he coached during Andy Reid's last few seasons, which were terrible.
