Met Rusty and some of his friends at the bar at a golf course in Ireland in 2006. I’m too young to remember him but my uncle instantly recognized him. Very nice man. RIP.
I went a few days ago for the first time in probably 5 years. Family wanted to go, nothing to do with the bowl game. Food was awful, won’t be back for at least another 5 years.
That's the thought. Finebaum said last night on CFB Live that Sabah was done with him and that's why Sark was brought in as a "consultant" in the middle of the season. I think this was going to be Lane's last season in Tuscaloosa whether he got a head coaching gig or not.
Coach said this was going to happen during his weekly radio show. The players that play regularly were going to get a few days off and help those that don't see the field as regularly improve their games.
Watching the ND game....it drives me crazy that their Adidas uniforms actually fit properly. Ours have always looked sloppy and loose IMO. You would think the jersey would be the same or nearly the same cut, etc.
I live in the Albuquerque area and think Davie is a decent hire. His ties to the state of Texas, where there are so many 3 and 4 star types, should really help with recruiting.
Like somone else mentioned, New Mexico produces a handful of 3 or 4 stars each year. Last year, a top 100 player nationally from the state committed to Notre Dame. Quickly looking at the 2012 class in NM, there's a 3 star OL that has SEC offers (interestingly, he's from Switzlerland and would be the first Swiss person to play D-1 football).
Nothing but upside in this hire (considering the state of the program though, any coach would offer optimism).
I just read that Torrian Wilson decommitted from Stanford and is considering Michigan, Tennessee and South Florida. I wonder if Sam has "a gut feeling" on this too?

GERG 2.0? Return of the beaver.
No thanks to Roman. If Weiss is gone we need a passing game specialist, someone like Streeter.
Doubt it would happen, but Steve Sarkisian is available now. Had some personal issues a few years ago but his resume is pretty impressive.
Pep has the lowest ceiling and the lowest floor. No chance he gets this job.
Is there a LiveBlog for the game?
23-16 good guys
Agreed. My thought has been that nothing will be announced until late afternoon/early evening on Friday.
Live chat link?
31-20 good guys
I had coffee come out of my nose on that. Classic, Ace.
Where in NM are you? I'm on the westside of ABQ. My wife knows Branch, went to high school with him.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Michigan
4. Washington
5. OSU
I'm of the opinion that should we lose in Columbus and that be our only loss we should be no lower than 4 but I doubt it happens.
To hell with Notre Dame!
Weber E-310.
I got the natural gas version last year and love it.
Hudson and Asiasi.
Greg Frey, not Glenn the recently deceased Eagles member.
Kind of a sloppy edit, I hope it's not something that was actually sent to him....socks don't match and Adidas shoes.
Disrespekt
Couldn't he just roll outside the tackle box and avoid the intentional grounding?
FUCK YEAH
Stop, Houma time!
I attended Miami (NTM) and met Wally Szczerbiak and Ben Roethlisberger.
Bronson Arroyo and Kevin Youkilis in bars in Cincinnati.
Rusty Staub (Expos/Mets baseball player from the late 60's to early 80's) golfing in Ireland in 2006.
Gene Simmons at Mardi Gras in 2003 I think.
Steve-O of Jackass fame in Cancun, 2002.
Former baseball player Tim Belcher multiple times (he's from a small-town in central Ohio).
And the most famous (infamous?)...Dog the Bounty Hunter and his crew in Albuquerque.
What struck me was the lack of teammates celebrating with or congratulating him.
"You know it's all love at the end of the day, brah."

New Mexico - Alan Branch. He graduated with my wife from Cibola High School.
