As someone a couple degrees separated from Kobe, i can assure u that the Bryant's were not struggling financially... and yes while it basically boiled down to Duke or UNC, it was pretty much known it was gonna be Duke.
this seemed like the smartest and most likely of outcomes for both our freshman. At the very least, test the waters and get feedback. i wonder why it took to the very last minute to announce?
Watching her effort for the last 4 years has been inspiring. She just never stopped working. She consistently beat the other bigs down the court on her rim runs & established position in the post. And if she happened to miss, her 2nd jump to get her own rebound for a put back was amazing. All this while actually being an undersized post player. Gonna really miss her as a leader as much as a player. A special young lady.
i have been around this place a long time... but somehow i missed the advent of BPONE, and NEVER found out what it stood for. Last week, i started to flat out ask on this here board, but now i don't have to!
I DVR & rewatch every game on Monday morning... give myself time to decompress & read other perspectives, then go back & look for things I may have missed on the 1st watch.
Even in this kinda game, I get frustrated... perturbed even, to see Adrien Nunez getting on the court & firing away. Pretty confident in my thinking he will not be a big factor in our on court success. Would much rather the freshman get those opportunities, however many minutes he got (I believe it was a 5 minute run) to get their feet wet... Kobe would be better served imho...
only if you're willing to admit the reverse is true? If we happen to lose, will the sky be falling and the season is basically over? in case my point is hidden in the sarcasm, i just want to win the game... No i won't start thinking about winning a football championship even remotely b/c of this week's game. Much less a basketball championship as well. The two aren't mutually exclusive in your eyes?
He's only in the 11th grade, there's still time for one of the big prep school to lure him away. But Camden HS is the family tradition. Grandfather Milt and his pops went there. Plus they have a friend of the family coaching there, former Temple star and NBA journeyman Rick Brunson is there to guide his maturation process. He's in pretty good hands at the moment.
Note: Wow, ironically, i joined the site the day after you. Still following behind you i guess.
Are we allowed to discuss it now? Was Xavier Worthy not accepted academically by the admissions department? This weekend was the first time I heard "we" miscalculated the scholarship numbers, and didn't have room for him. I find that hard to believe... Talent like that usually finds a spot. But i also remember him taking a trip to Bama late, and we were all fearful he would flip, but he stuck. So him not wanting to be here doesn't seem to add up either. Didnt he show up to campus in January as an early enrollee? Did he not like it then? I never really understood the situation. But figured the details weren't to be shared publicly. If that's still the case, I get it. Just curious.

Damn, outta all the players, why over Embiid?
i'm likely one of very few philly native/residents that root for the Sixers on this board...

these Fred Jackson-isms are hilarious!
Same here. Couldn't have said it any better. Well said. I will say, we picked players to compete at almost every position besides qb & rb.

Thought i read Moore is no longer visiting this weekend? Is he back on? or was that a false report?
Dont forget the David Terrell & Marquis Walker era... Coach Bellamy was in the mix too iinm.
If the line is as good as advertised, Blake Corum should really cook.

Who's got it better than us!
this makes me happy...
Hayes definitely struggled this week. Need him to step up and be the guy we know he can be.

Is Romeo Weems still there?

i believe Steve Lorenz put in a crystal ball prediction for pops team.
oh yeah, as for the question, i have no idea what time he's announcing.
