Football visitors this weekend

Michigan is getting some interesting visitors this week, even if it's not a big list.

One is 5-star quarterback Dante Moore, which is huge for Michigan, as he's really the only QB they're pursuing.

Another interesting prospect is Warren (MI) De La Salle QB Brady Drogosh, a 6'5", 200-pounder who runs a 4.6 forty. If Michigan whiffs on Moore and needs to take a project of a QB in 2023 before (hopefully) going hard after C.J. Carr in 2024 (not that they're slow playing Carr, but Moore is the big fish right now), Drogosh could be the guy. He's got offers from a few Big Ten schools already.

There are a few other guys coming in this week, too. Here's the LINK if you're interested.

Was Harbaugh really at the Masters last weekend instead of on campus recruiting? I saw Charles Jagusah's interview where he mentioned he didn't even talk to Harbaugh on his visit (at least Sayin was able to get on the phone with him).

I think they will push for Carr to reclassify to 23 if they miss on Moore. That would enable them to take Carr and a guy like Drogosh in 23 followed by another elite in 24

Agreed. Michigan has somebody for 2022, and McCarthy should be sticking around for 2023 either way. I don't think McNamara will be at Michigan in 2023; he'll either move on to the NFL or go somewhere where he has a job all to himself.

Then you would have a freshman Carr in 2024, a transfer, or a third- or fourth-year player in Orji, Denegal, or Warren.

Having, in 2024, a QB room of a RS junior Warren, RS sophomores Orji and Denegal, RS freshman Drogosh and freshman Carr is doable. With, perhaps, JJ returning for his senior year-going for back-to-back-to back natties :) (Edit: I think these classifications are correct???)

He probably is a strong ND lean - right now. The big advantage - in recruiting - that those a-holes have is a new, young coach that is generating a lot of excitement with the recruits. It happens at quite a few blueblood schools going through a coaching change.  Keep in mind, Freeman has never been a HC before. I think he's going to find out - along with their delusional fans - it's a lot more difficult on the field than on paper. Let's find out what happens to their recruiting after they get curb stomped a few times this year by teams like Clemson, USC and OSU

When it comes to my hate factor for a program, I rate them up there with OSU. The Suckeyes are #1 with ND #1a.  The problem with ND is their "holier than thou" attitude and being better than everyone else.

Michigan should recruit the most explosive running QB available. OSU is not currently constructed to stop the run. Go all in on read option. The old down hill Urban Meyer option attack is ironically what OSU is not ready for right now. Need an Anthony Richardson @ Florida type. Orji was a nice start.
