With Michigan winning the title, that stuff will sell extremely high right now.   The problem is on the investment side, most of that will not fetch the same prices 2-3 years from now.  (Some items like the watch that are uniquely tied to the game might).

Sometimes you can snag some really cool items on Playerstrunk though, I obtained a few signed locker name tags that were used in the 2018 and 2019 NCAA Tournaments.

Did anyone get the Jordan Polo?    I waited too long and it sold out.  Trying to find a medium.

Thank you.  I am debating about retiring next year, or doing a few more years, so this could be our last as well.

Yes both the Navy and athe Marine Corps fall under the Department of the Navy for Civilian leadership.  But no uniformed Navy presides over the Corps.

A large majority don't do ROTC, they just do OCS during or after college.

That is tough to say with certainty.  Did he have any red flags that were displayed during his hiring, and while in the employment of his job?  In my 20 years in the MC I have seen plenty of ranking officials hide some pretty crazy stuff for years, only to have it eventually come to light later.  Even individuals with TS/SCI clearances that were continuously vetted.

He is no longer in the the Corps so technically he is not a Captain anymore, he EAS'd last year.

No he did not retire.  He received his commission and did his initial contract, and then got out.

Personally I don't like bringing my phone into the games,  so a mild inconvenience.  Plus like others have said, ticket stubs have always made great momentos, not the same with commemorative tickets.

I could see Michigan being…

I could see Michigan being in the top 3 depending on who declares and who comes back. I think forecasting them in the top 5 is reasonable.

Going 50 in a 25 is the biggest safety concern here.   In regards to the weapon, his mistake was not having his permit finalized.  If he was already in possession of his permit, then carrying a loaded pistol on his person, with ammunition, is not a serious issue.

That was Hayes reply when asked IF Corum was out.  You left out a key piece in that Hayes quote.

1stLt Liversedge (1stLt at the time) was one of the captains of that Quantico team.  He was the Regimental CO for the 28th Marines at Iwo Jima (took Mt Suribachi) in 1945.   As a side note, he also won a bronze medal in the Shot Put at Antwerp in 1920.

Alot of history on that team.  I have a nice program and ticket stub from that 1923 game framed.

18+ years and counting. Semper Fi and Go Blue.

First you need to…

First you need to differentiate between speed and quickness / acceleration.

Much of the training you see these guys do is aimed more at quickness / acceleration and not necessarily top end speed.  It would make sense that many kids see an increase in speed and acceleration once they get to college.  I've seen many HS programs (Especially smaller schools that have limited staff / resources) that have good weight training regimes, but lack significantly when it comes to speed and agility training.  Being able to squat, deadlift and power-clean a lot of weight is great, but if you are not doing the right plyometrics to convert that raw strength into power and acceleration you won't see the same type of 40 times that other kids doing similar would.

UM  is a slight 2 pt favorite over MSU on draft kings right now.

MSU's offensive line has…

MSU's offensive line has been a weak link most of the year.  The one good defensive line they played, NU, shut them down.

MSU will get some big plays, but I don't see them moving the ball with consistency against UM.

This game is a good matchup for UM.  People can clamor this is MSU's Superbowl, after last season the UM players are likely just as motivated and ready.  I would say the motivation factor is a wash this season.

Unfortunately poor decision…

Unfortunately poor decision making often plays a large part of these stories as well.

Thank you for the support.  Marine Corps, almost 17 years.

That doesn't seem to far out…

That doesn't seem to far out of the normal.  In the military we use a 14 day quarantine period (For positives and first person contacts), and you have to be symptom free for 72 hours.  So it could be longer than 14 if that individual is still showing symptoms, but not shorter.

You are somewhat correct, It…

You are somewhat correct, It is 14 days after you test Positive.  To return to work you must have quarantined for 14 total days from the date of the test, and also have been symptom free for 72 hours.   So as long as you are symptom free by day 11, you will be cleared to return to work after 14 days.

I don't know of too many active duty units / installations that are using the test to return method,  most are all following the above.

For common mass produced…

For common mass produced cards you are correct.  The value is in cards that are one of one or are limited in number to 10 or less.

The one of one cards can fetch a high premium depending on the player.

Not much different than someone who buys stock they feel will go up, only to turn around and sell it for a profit.  Or someone that finds that rare item at a swap meet who turns around and auctions it off.

Very nice!

I have a pretty extensive collection as well.  My three favorite pieces: Game used ball from the 1989 Rose Bowl (obtained from an estate), game used / signed jersey from a starter in the 2011 UM vs ND game, and a 1948 program signed by the entire team and coaching staff.

Obtaining all my flight qualifications in the AH-1W and leading Marines in Combat, OIF.

Many government agencies are…

Many government agencies are working from home, most of those still have some essential personnel coming in.

From a military perspective I can tell you most units are reduced staffing but still have to maintain a level of readiness (continued flight operations, etc).  You can't shut the doors and completely stop for an indefinite period.

They take them and sell them…

They take them and sell them for anywhere from $5-20 each on eBay.  Look on there, you will see sellers with a large amount listed.

What was the reasoning for them not releasing the Playoff top 25 rankings on time?  Haven't been able to see it  anywhere, only some articles where people have seen the top 4.

If Utah doesn't get an at…

If Utah doesn't get an at large bid, they will be headed to the Alamo Bowl, which is the PAC-12 runner-up destination.

Michigan vs USC would be a…

Michigan vs USC would be a good matchup.  They would get yards passing, but Michigan would also be able to score on them.

Georgia vs LSU will likely…

Georgia vs LSU will likely have a big impact on Michigan's Bowl destination.  If Georgia beats LSU, and then also makes the playoffs,  it means that Florida will be heading to the Sugar Bowl and the Orange Bowl will choose either PSU or Wisconsin (Whichever is not in the Rose). This outcome would mean that the Citrus Bowl would not be able to select a Big Ten Team, making the Holiday Bowl the likeliest destination.

If Chalk holds, it will come down to Michigan, Wisconsin or Minnesota for the Citrus.   Minnesota didn't draw well last time they were there, Wisconsin hasn't played there in awhile, and Michigan was recently there.  At this point it is probably 50/50 between the Citrus and the Holiday Bowl.

The Gator Bowl is a "Possibility" but that would require the Holiday Bowl to pass on Michigan, which is highly unlikely.

I will never cheer for OSU,…

I will never cheer for OSU, but I wouldn't mind them coming into the Big House undefeated.  Upsetting an undefeated OSU and taking a trip to the Rose Bowl would make for a good season with alot of momentum for next year.

Possible, but not likely. …

Possible, but not likely.  10-2 PSU would likely be ranked around 12-13.  10-2 Michigan, 7-8.  If both are 10-2, it would be very surprising if PSU went.

"If" Michigan were to win…

"If" Michigan were to win out and beat OSU, they will probably be ranked around 6th or 7th in the playoff rankings.  They would for sure get into the New Year's Six.   The biggest question is whether they can make the Rose Bowl ( OSU will still make playoffs at 12-1).  If the West Champ finishes at 10-3 and PSU is 10-2, UM has a solid shot at a Rose Bowl bid.

We need Wisconsin to win the west for that to happen.

That said, let's just beat OSU.

Of the roughly 30% of…

Of the roughly 30% of candidates that wash out of OCS (% it was a few years ago), most do so for reasons other than being physically fit enough.  Plenty of  PT studs wash out every cycle, you would be surprised at some of the young men and women who don't finish.

It is an accomplishment worth applauding.

You are somewhat correct.  …

You are somewhat correct.   During World War 2 the Air Force was part of the Army, they were not a separate "Branch".   The Navy and the Marine Corps are separate branches of the Department of Defense, with equal representation in the Joint Chiefs of Staff(General Berger and Admiral Gilday).  The Marine Corps though does fall under the administration of the Department of the Navy.

I won't argue against that. …

I won't argue against that.  I just don't think they will get left home if they lose close.

If Georgia wins this game it…

If Georgia wins this game it likely means Alabama and Georgia will go to the playoffs.  This means Michigan is most likely headed to the Fiesta Bowl vs Boise State / Fresno winner.   Peach would be Penn State vs LSU.
