The college game is more than just baseline recruiting and x's/o's come gameday. You have to run the program from top to bottom. You are a CEO of the program and this is why the Juwan hire was questionable from the jump. If you are not familiar with the process of running an entire program then it is going to be very difficult to succeed when you parachute into a high-major school that plays at a championship level. That's the whole reason Martelli is there. So that he can guide Juwan in that regard. Now that all of Beilien's players are gone we're getting to see the result of hiring a coach who has no experience building a college program, and it's not that shocking that its ugly. So, yes I want him gone and I want a real college basketball coach instead.

I disagree completely. I never got the sense the refs were changing the game that much. Nothing more than normal. The thing is everybody here went into the game expecting to get screwed so that’s what they saw. It’s the same victim mentality we often often have. Today we’re coupling it with being crybabies as well even though we won. It’s pathetic honestly. The refs we’re fine.
We’re disappointed because we’re not getting what we expected. Of course he hasn’t been bad. No one is saying he’s bad, but we want some god damn trophies! Now, I don’t want Harbaugh fired. Firing him now would be irresponsible because we don’t know who could come in and be better. As long as he’s here the program is in a good spot. He has two years left on his contract, and during that time they should be keeping their eyes open for who that coach might be who will take them over the top. That person exists. Is it harbaugh? Could be. We need to take the next two years to determine that. But there’s no reason to be hasty and fire him now just because we’re frustrated. Let’s just be patient and see what develops in the next 2 years both for this program and for potential upgrades for the future.
People just love to kick people while they’re down... it’s a shame. Dude Ronnie was nervous and he dropped the ball. It sucks for us but that’s just how sports work. I would’ve dropped that pass too. Look at how much it hurt him. He clearly cares about the team and about winning
In the past few years basketball has been downright therapeutic after constant disappointing ends to football seasons. Michigan basketball has given me way more in my lifetime than football has. I’m trying to make a real effort to enjoy this basketball season to the full extent because I think this is a special team. It’s also so easy to take pride in this basketball program. They do it the right way, they back up the talk, and they beat little brother and that POS team down south. Go blue baby
I think Wisconsin is good. They do have an all-American in Happ. He’s an absolute tank. However, I think we’re just so much better than we showed today, and I think home court advantage will be big. I think we’re gonna beat them by double digits at home.
I thought the same thing. We are going to destroy them at home. Our shooters will be comfortable, happ will be more uncomfortable, and we will splash 9-10 threes in their face.
The worst part about the game was our shooters looked scared. We hit less than a third of our 3s. Matthews didn’t wanna shoot, iggy literally got shut out, livers and brooks pump faking wide open; we were afraid to lose, not hungry to win. The season can now go one of two ways: we will fold under a lack of confidence, or the pressure of being undefeated will be lifted and we’ll win the big ten. We’ll see.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the turnovers. It’s the only thing Illinois is good at. All these frantic double teams are going to lead to easy baskets for us.
We are going to pull away in this game. I watched Illinois-Missouri a while back and eventually this fast style of play takes its toll on Illinois. They tire themselves out and fail to hit shots later in the game once they get tired legs.
This game has a great pace to it, our offense looks amazing, just missing jumpers. If we had made a few more of those open looks we’d be fixin to drop 50 this half
I know we’re getting inside of their zone so easily. It looks like Matthews and Iggy are so surprised to be that wide open at the elbow that they’re getting psyched out or something.
All of these missed jump shots are really frustrating. I thought this team was going to be less suceptable to scoring droughts but we’ve seen it happen when teams go to zone. Gotta get some more easy layups somehow.
Looks to me like Brooks is gaining confidence. He looks more decisive with his fakes and takes. I’m starting to like him. 2 good drives to the basket this game
The best thing about Dax is he’s going to be crucial for our teams success in 2019. He’s a plug and play guy and we need him immediately. This is hella clutch.

I can’t believe people are complaining about the refs. It wasn’t that bad. And home team always gets the majority of the calls.
I don’t want to rip on women, but women’s basketball is just not good. Not entertaining unless it’s a championship game or rivalry game.
I wanna see more out of franz. He should be more aggressive going to the rim with that length.

We haven’t even playing perfect basketball lately but we are a top 5 squad without question. We’ll look better in March then we do now.
