With his strong start at M Harbaughs recruiting should've been strong enough in year 6 that our 2nd and 3rd string players arent requiring 3 ot's to beat rutgers. This is entirely an issue with recruiting and developing talent. Missing those guys vs having those guys should be like, a 45-20 game against rutgers vs a 60-10 type game vs rutgers.
Harbaugh actually explained his philosophy on this early on in his time at Michigan. He thinks game reps are the BEST practice reps. Once the ones are good enough, then the twos get reps. Our ones have never been good enough for him to feel like it was a good idea to take them out, they always needed more practice. And yeah, our offense has failed at least one "later" game every season, so I could see where he would think they need more practice.
Whether or not this is the best way to go about things is a different story, but I know it's why he claimed to keep the starters in so long.

This is the first year I didnt spend the offseason pumped for CFB. And this is the 3rd game I've turned off mid game but the first one that it was actually close. Last 2 were OSU the last two years.
Why turn this one off? I already know the season is over. This team is NOT going to be OSU, and will at best struggle with the remainder of the schedule.
Just isn't fun anymore watching 4 hours of commercials and harbaugh fumble-fuck his way to 9-4 seasons that end in an osu blowout and a bowl game loss.
Why? He's been the reason we've lost every game. His recruiting is garbage, he cant adjust to offenses at all. He runs a gimmick defense that's been exposed. Once the gimmick is exposed it's game over.

I think it's probably a mistake to assume they have "similar levels of competency and professionalism". There are lots of other staff members from team to team who are drastically different, no reason to assume this isnt likely for the medical staff as well.

2015/2016 was not "dinosaur offenses" in any way shape or form. Literally the only problem with those two teams was QB/OL and both those offenses blew the 2019 offense out of the water.

Filiaga got away with a pretty blatant hold on the defender who had a pretty good chance to stop Charbonnet on our first TD.
