Also with all of the talk of osu’s improved defense, if you subtract the 3 elite rush offenses from last year, (Oregon, UM, and Utah) their rush defense was actually better last year. They haven’t played anyone to test whether they’re really better or not.
For the Henning questions, I felt like they really wanted him to return one for a TD. He was extra aggressive trying to get as many opportunities as possible.
Or maybe he doesn’t want to talk about something he isn’t educated on. Everyone doesn’t need to have a take on everything that is happening in the world. That’s just some bs excuse to talk shit about a guy that you just don’t like.
At the very least throw the ball out of bounds and take more time off the clock. You can’t allow the other team to get the ball back in that situation. IU could have thrown a Hail Mary.
College football isn’t essential. It shouldn’t be happening anyways. But if it is, a false positive is just something that you’ll have to deal with. Better that than a false negative
The problem with this thinking is that there is no NBA-like bubble. Soon there will be thousands of students from all over the country, many who haven’t been social distancing, and will continue to not social distance. Even if UM does everything right, they still have to meet teams from other school, who are also in the same situation.
I think the point you’re missing is that not playing is discipline in its own right.
Your cultural norms. I grew up somewhere that dog fighting happened all the time. I didn’t think anything of it until I was a teenager and the Vick case was going on. Every one is a product of their environment until they learn better. It seems like Vick has learned
My problem with everyone saying that you can’t have so many recent WR is that they had no problem having damn near every D lineman come from the 70’s. If the goal is to spread it out then that shouldn’t have happened.
Even if you’re a backup you are working for the university. You still have the same time requirements, and your scout team play matters. They should be paid for their labor, plus name and likeness if someone wants to use it.
I’m sure I’m in the minority, but with the amount of money that’s put into college athletics, I think their should basically be free agency instead of recruiting. The market would works itself from there
I really wish I could’ve seen Vick with an offense built around his abilities. Back then they just did a bunch of bootlegs and thought that was the best way to use his athleticism
I don’t necessarily believe it is, I just think a team that Slowly grinds down the field with 10 play drives is more likely to make a mistake than an explosive team that scores quickly
Even though the 2 minute drill at the end of the first half ended poorly, I was encouraged that there actually seemed to be a plan. The team got to the line quickly and had plays ready, unlike the Notre Dame game
Brad Crawford isn’t an insider at all. His posts are all relating information that someone else has said. The last real insider info that has come out is the email that says he plans to stay.
That said, if he leaves, I wish him the best and I think him spending the one year here will help Michigan moving forward. If he comes back, I think this offense can be ELITE next year
I may be in the minority, because I am genuinely worried about Ambry Thomas as a full time cb. He seems to be consistently out of position when he’s on the field. I wouldn’t mind a full time move to offense
Yup, I think Marcus Ray is doing an act to try and find a niche. Braylon’s comments strikes me as being similar to many message board posters after a loss. He’s just too prominent of a person to have his name attached to the comments
I would argue that LeBron would be more dominant in the 90’s when teams weren’t allowed to play zone. Now teams are able to bring an extra guy to try and deter drives to the rim. 80’s and 90’s defensive rules allowed much easier isolations.
This is is why non shooting wings are damn near unplayable these days, it completely handicaps an offense to have a guy that can be ignored
Yup, I believe that it was very obvious that they either wanted to make the players leave, so he could float about it if they won. And in case they wouldn’t leave, he had his players wear helmets in case of a scuffle.
They have fallen far from being the “spartan dawgs”. Now they try to intimidate and whine or flop when it doesn’t go their way.
Could Gil and Ross be used together in the over front against heavy personnel? Or are those responsibilities too different from what they are currently doing
I think that the defense should be allowed their own momentum. If the pass forces you to stop and run into the defender who is running in a straight line, it should just be a no call
Those two plays weren’t even similar, Jesse James caught the ball at the 1 while on a knee and lost it while falling forward. Ertz caught the ball at the 5, took 3 steps and dove to avoid being tackled short of the end zone.
If you don't believe that is happening then you are being willfully ignorant. On top of the endless stories around the world, both myself and close friends have negative interactions with cops with no illegal activity involved.
Including one friend who lost his job, apartment, car, and fiancee' because he didn't have bail money and had to wait 16 months just for his case to be thrown out when is was proved that the police planted the evidence. Cop got suspended for 1 month with pay
Yeah it's sad, i played against him in basketball and football in high school, we all thought he would go to the NBA. I feel horrible that his family has to deal with this
I think he should have waited for either another MACtion opening, or he could have went back to d line coach. Even though he was a failure as a big time head coach, he loves him some Michigan just like all of us and I'd like to see him do well long term

I think that they should just give all lottery teams equal odds. Tanking is ridiculous and shouldn’t be rewarded.
That’s a T most of the time. Refs were coming the get the ball, she threw it away from them. Either leave it alone or toss it to the ref.
Yeah, this isn’t going to happen.

plus I…
Exactly this!!
plus I doubt that Jackson St could come up with more money than everyone else if all he wanted was to go to the highest bidder.
It’s crazy that Britain Covey is still at Utah. He played against Michigan in Harbaugh’s first game. And is still listed as a Junior!
I feel like Rose bowl stopped being THE bowl game when the playoffs started. When it’s not the Big Ten/Pac-12 champions it doesn’t feel the same
Call the obvious offensive PI

I enjoy youtubetv, it has pretty much all of the important sports channels and has unlimited dvr
Yeah, any SEC complaints about that just seem cheap

My guess would be that they want to start the process now to try and find a place for the spring semester.

Why is Alabama still being in with a loss such a foregone conclusion? They will end up with a bad sos if they miss the sec cg.
It’s not comparable to them being ahead of osu last year because osu got left out with 2 losses, one of them being a huge blowout.

Who the hell is still putting Clemson at #1?

It’s interesting to me that they don’t always wear helmets until they decide to walk into Michigan warming up.

Isn’t that Roy Roundtree in the picture?
