What does the Juwan Howard (Michigan legend who followed a future Hall of fame coach) have in common with Ollie Brown (a Connecticut legend who followed a Hall of fame coach)?
Why the surprise? I don't think Harbaugh actually said, "I'm firing his ass" but we all assumed he was fired. What does it mean if Brown actually said "I'm out of here...I'm sick of the Harbaugh weirdness and this ship is sinking"......
Sooooo, let's face it. The wheels are once again falling off. They fell off when lloyd retired, they fell off when Brady was here, and now they are falling off again.
I've had season tickets since 2007. I've seen it all......
Like everything else at iowa, he's good but not remarkable. Nobody will ever say "damn, our defense kicked some serious ass today".....but we also probably wouldn't be crabbing about how they underperform, how really bad QBs torched us, or how our corners constantly hold.........
Simple:. Matt Campbell from Iowa State. Dude does a lot each year and he's at the "other school" in Iowa, where there are three hogs for every person in the state ( look it up).
I think harbaugh has a shelf life and he's reached his. Five years is a long time for him, and it's pretty obvious that he's emotionally moved on. My prediction? Blue will be 7-5 or 8-4 and go to the gator bowl or something like like. He'll be in the NFL next year, probably at Miami.

On one hand, BYU and Maryland may not have been abnormal games after all. If that's the case, then 21-7 would be a real butt-kicking by the Men in Blue.
HOWEVER
On the other hand, when has a UM/NU game been fun at all in the last few years? This could very well be another mind-numbing, sleep-inducing 10-9 game all over again, with two defenses outclassing two poop-head offenses.
I wondered why the Detroit sport talk announcers were mostly state slappys. After a while I came to realize the obvious- MSU grads work at radio stations, but UM grads OWN radio stations!
The future of Jim Harbaugh with the San Francisco 49ers looks a little dimmer today after Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported he two sides are likely headed for divorce.
"At this point it would be a surprise if Jim Harbaugh is back with the 49ers," Rapoport claimed on NFL GameDay Morning Sunday, adding that success the rest of the season would probably have little impact on the team's decision. This echoes earlier reports that not even a Super Bowl title could extend Harbaugh's tenure in San Francisco. And according to Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins, long rumored as a potential landing spot for Harbaugh, are no longer an option. Miami's recent success apparently has convinced ownership to keep head coach Joe Philbin around and, in any case, Harbaugh is "not on the Dolphins' radar." Moreover, Harbaugh's wife does not want to leave the Bay Area, limiting the number of locations he can consider.

I do have plenty of room in Section 36 that I didn't have just a couple of years ago. Nope, no more cramped quarters for us.....we can spread out and get stuff at the concession stand quickly, and go to the bathroom at halftime and not miss the band, and get to our car really fast after the game. Yep, it's all good!
On the other hand, a few successful trips to the red zone would be nice....................
Long line of former players welcomes team out. Team acts fired up. In Bradyland, dad now has 565 sons.
The game begins with a big play and a UM score. The crowd goes wild!
PSU gets snuffed - three and out. The crowd goes wilder!
UM goes 27 yards in 14 plays and settles for a field goal that didn't blocked, fer goodness sakes. The crowd cheers!
PSU responds with a field goal. The crowd responds with applause.
Then UM drives, but Gardner throws an unexpected interception - wow, that's different. PSU returns it to the UM 20 and on the next play Hackenstorm-trooper throws one over Countess's head - wow that's unexpected - for a TD.
UM punts, PSU gets a field goal. 13-10 at the half.
polite applause as the team leave the fiel
Second half is "pure Michigan". Gardner unexpectedly throws two more ints, Smith loses a fumble, and somebody else loses one just for good measure. Wow, that's just plain unexpected.......
Side note: attendance is announced as 101,010 which explains the 30,000 empty seats, which stands to reason, since we find out later that the stadium actually seats 147,901 "we had a little math problem that has now been corrected" (per Dave Brandon's interview on the Michigan Insider Monday).
Gardner finishes 13-31, 167 yards and 3 ints. Smith carries 16 times for 50 yards (a vast improvement over last year Brandy will say next week on the coach's show). Garner is sacked 5 times, wow, that's unexpected.......
Christian "stormtrooper" Hackenburg goes 27-34 for 376 yards and 3 TDs. He is named Big 10 offensive player of the week (Brandy's comment on the coach's show is "by anybody's numbers that's a 10% improvement over last week, Brady").
UM is named the (just plain) offensive team team team of the week.
final score: PSU 34, UM 10
In the words of Adrian Monk, "I could be wrong, but I don't think so"
Nussmeier at one point waved frantically for Shane to stay down so the ref would call time out and make him leave the game. Morris - too much of a tough guy - wouldn't do it.
Hoke is a liar if he said he didn't see it - he was standing only a few feet away.
Hoke is also a horse's ass. He made sure that an un-ready 19 year old got the crap kicked out of himself. His demeanor on the sidelines said, "you idiots wanted him, so now you got him. you're getting what you deserved." I truly believe that Hoke set up the fans and Morris....
I am a 6 year season ticket holder. The remaining three games are going on Stubhub tonight.
Michigan under Hoke is just plain bad. My Ohio State friends even feel bad for me.

What does the Juwan Howard (Michigan legend who followed a future Hall of fame coach) have in common with Ollie Brown (a Connecticut legend who followed a Hall of fame coach)?
Both were hired by Ward Manual
Just saying......
Harbaugh is the most stubborn coach in the Big 10. Why even have Gattis on staff?
Speed in space?????, that's actually pretty funny
Uhhhh.....Harbs?

Can you say, okay I guess
So far, ward has made one big hire, and he went obvious with juwan. Great hire, but some would say the easy hire.
Go big or go home with the football hire! Please ward!!!!
…
How do you say "inept AD?"
Ward Manual, baby
That truly sounds like a plan!!! Go Okie!

Agreed! Didn't we just have a QB turned TE get drafted?
Agreed! Didn't we just have a QB turned TE get drafted?
I think the QB controversy is over
A critical delay of game penalty and no reaction at all from Harbaugh? Shades of brady hoke

Head coaching candidate? Chris Petersen comes to mind.....no downside, he just wins, baby
Does $6-7mm a year change his tune?
I agree. Look for him to be in the NFL next year, probably in Miami. He's got a 3-5 year attention span, and that's up.
Who's the next coach? The guy at Boise?

What if UM makes them one-dimensional and they stand sideways.............wouldn't they become invisible?
They would be really tough to tackle then.
that's a good point. other than 6 field goals or two TDs and two 2 point conversions, how do you get to 18?
9 safeties (altogether possible.....)

Oh Screw That. I'm going 35-0 Michigan.
I'm sorry, but everytime I read anything about Utah, I can't help thinking of Fred Gwynne......
Michigan 34, Utah 9
or
Utah 34. Michigan 9
who knows?
Great quote in this story:

The future of Jim Harbaugh with the San Francisco 49ers looks a little dimmer today after Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported he two sides are likely headed for divorce.

Accordingly, Rapoport listed the Oakland Raiders as a "real possibility" for Harbaugh. Oakland will play at least the 2015 season at the O.co Coliseum, erasing the need for Harbaugh's family to relocate. Tim Kawakami of Mercury News confirmed this, listing 49ers CEO Jed York's willingness to allow the moveand whether Mark Davis can find a suitable personnel executive as the main impediments to Harbaugh joining the Raiders.

UM guys are coached poorly to the point of being put at risk.
well it is. so there.

What do I tell my eleven year old when he asks "why did that man say our coaches' ass is made out of candy?"
Well, ok, he actually said the "coaches' rear-ends" but that's just because he isn't allowed to use profanity ..........
polite applause as the team leave the fiel

RR's teams were bad. But their offense was at least interesting at times (okay, some of the time, but not often).
This team is bad and it is BORING. Not a little boring....they are 'way friggin boring to watch.
